Abstract

Background: Cardiorespiratory fitness in adolescence affects the level of fitness and determinants of health levels in old age. School adolescents who have low physical activity need easy, efficient and effective physical training to increase cardiorespiratry fitness, namely high intensity interval training. Objective: to determine the effect of high intensity interval training on cardiorespitatory fitness training in adolescents. Subjects: 60 high school students (men n = 21, women n = 39) aged 15-19 years who met the study criteria and were divided into 2 groups, a high intensity interval training group and a control group by jogging. Method: quasi experimental with pre-test and post-test one group design with control group. The instrument used in this study was a 20m shuttle run test. Analysis: normality test with Kolmogorov-Smirnov, then parametric test with paired sample t-test and parametric difference test with independent sample t-test. Results: VO2max pre-test and post-test high intensity interval training group obtained p value = 0,000 (p <0.05) which showed there were significant differences before and after treatment. The results of the post-test different test between the control and treatment groups showed that the value of p = 0,000 (p <0.05) showed that there was a significant difference between the high intensity interval training group and the control group and the results of the different mean mean were greater in the high intensity interval training group. after and before treatment. Conclusion: high intensity interval training can increase cardiorespiratory fitness in adolescents according to the results of VO2max values.

Abstract

Background: Sedentary behavior has a risk of causing low back pain and results in decreased functional ability. William flexion exercise (WFE) is an exercise to improve lumbar stability by strengthening the abdominal muscles and stretching the back muscles. The aim of the study was to determine the effect of the addition of william flexion exercise on functional abilities in patients with myogenic low back pain at Banyumas General Hospital. Methods: This type of research was one group pre test & post test with control design, subjects were randomly selected into the treatment group and the control group. The subjects were 31 patients at the Banyumas General Hospital who included the inclusion criteria. Result: The paired t-test and independent t-test which were carried out in both groups after receiving the intervention obtained a value of p = 0.000 (p <0.05) which means that there was an increase in functional ability and there was a significant difference in the two groups. Difference in mean pre-post test treatment group 7.5 and control 2.4. Conclusion: The addition of william flexion exercise has an effect on increasing functional ability in patients with myogenic low back pain.

Abstract

Latar Belakang : Nyeri punggung bawah (NPB) merupakan masalah kesehatan yang disebabkan oleh posisi yang tidak benar saat beraktivitas dan ditandai dengan adanya gejala seperti nyeri, kekakuan atau ketegangan otot pada punggung bawah . Nyeri punggung bawah menjadi penyebab kecacatan bagi sebagian orang terutama pada orang dewasa dan menjadi alasan umum seseorang mencari perawatan kesehatan. Tujuan : untuk mengetahui pengaruh teknik angkat angkut yang benar serta posisi duduk yang ergonomis terhadap penurunan nyeri punggung bawah. Metode : penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian eksperimental one group pre and post test with control design yang dilakukan pada tahun 2024. Subjek merupakan masyarakat dan kader kesehatan Desa Tohudan, Colomadu, Karanganyar. Subjek berjumlah 30 orang dan dibagi menjadi 2 kelompok. Kelompok kontrol berjumlah 15 tidak diberikan apapun. Kelompok perlakuan berjumlah 15 orang yang diberi perlakuan teknik angkat angkut dan posisi ergonomis. Pengukuran nyeri menggunakan Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) pada awal dan akhir perlakuan. Hasil : Berdasarkan hasil uji statistik sebelum dan sesudah tanpa perlakuan kelompok kontrol diperoleh nilai p = 0,054 (p >0,05) yang artinya tidak ada pengaruh. Pada kelompok perlakuan diperoleh p = 0,000 (p <0,05) yang artinya ada perbedaan pengaruh. Hasil uji hipotesis sesudah perlakuan kelompok kontrol dan perlakuan didapatkan hasil p = 0,000 (p <0,05) yang berarti ada pengaruh. Kesimpulan : Pemberian penyuluhan dan pelatihan teknik angkat angkut yang benar dan posisi duduk ergonomis efektif dalam menurunkan nyeri punggung bawah.
