Abstract

Era digital memberi peluang pada hadirnya nilai penting identitas. Identitas dianggap sebagai kunci eksistensi diri manusia utamanya di media sosial. Melalui identitas, seseorang dinilai, dihargai, dikenali. Melalui media sosial, teknologi memberi kemungkinan kepada manusia untuk mengendalikan aspek identitas yang ingin ditampilkan di ruang publik. Apa yang ingin disampaikan diseleksi, didekonstruksi, dipilih sebagaimana seseorang ingin dilihat. Sebagai sebuah platform media sosial, Facebook merupakan aplikasi paling populer baik di dunia maupun di Indonesia, sebagai sebuah aplikasi yang membuat penggunanya mengonstruksi citra dan identitas untuk dirinya. Dari penelitian yang pernah dilakukan, salah satu alasan orang menggunakan Facebook salah satunya adalah untuk mendapatkan perhatian dan pengakuan dari orang lain yang ada dalam lingkaran pertemanannya. Menjadi menarik melihat bagaimana perempuan menampilkan identitas dirinya di internet. Hal ini didasari beberapa hasil penelitian bahwa perempuan lebih sering mengakses media sosial ketimbang laki-laki. Melalui metode analisis isi kualitatif, penelitian ini mencoba mengeskplorasi seperti apa perempuan menampilkan identitas dirinya di media sosial Facebook. Gambaran seperti apa yang diharapkan oleh para perempuan akan diterima oleh teman-temannya di media sosial. Serta bagaimana identitas itu ditampilkan. Abstract

Penelitian ini berfokus pada strategi komunikasi duta wisata Cak dan Ning dalam mempromosikan pariwisata karena Media baru (New Media) merupakan alat atau sarana dalam menyampaikan pesan pada khalayak luas dengan menggunakan teknologi digital atau disebut juga sebagai jaringan teknologi komunikasi dan informasi. Penelitian ini meneliti bagaimana tingkat kepuasan follower dalam mengakses akun instagram @suarasurabayamedia. Penelitian menggunakan teori Uses and Gratifications dengan metode survey. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif menggunakan 4 kategori untuk menentukan tingkat kepuasan followers yaitu, kepuasan pengawasan, kepuasan identitas pribadi, kepuasan integrasi dan interaksi sosial, dan kepuasan pengalihan. Kepuasan diukur dengan melihat kesenjangan antara kepuasan yang diharapkan (Gratification Sought) dengan kepuasan yang diperoleh (Gratification Obtained). Dilihat dari perbandingan tabel kepuasan yang diharapkan (GS) dan kepuasan yang diperoleh (GO). Akun instagram @suarasurabayamedia menunjukkan bahwa skor untuk rata-rata kepuasan lebih besar dari pada rata-rata skor kebutuhan (GS<GO), maka diketahui telah timbul kepuasan pada followers dalam mengakses akun instagram @suarasurabayamedia. Selain itu perbedaan antara harapan dan kepuasan follower dalam mengakses akun instagram @suarasurabayamedia signifikan dan dapat digunakan pada seluruh follower yang ada.

Abstract

Video clip "The Story of the Past" It is the goal of the band Mantrakama to convey a message about caring for the environment to the public. The reason for researching this video clip is because in the video clip there are several unique features that are displayed and the researcher wants to describe the meaning of the message contained in it. Data was collected using the observation method by watching and documenting in the form of screenshots which the researchers analyzed using qualitative methods with Charles Sanders Peirce's semiotic approach which contains the triangle of meaning, namely Representament, Interpretation, Object. The conclusion of this study is that there are messages related to caring for the environment such as the importance of caring for plants, not littering, reducing air pollution, and caring for fellow humans and the environment.

Abstract

A Movie that deals with social issues in the community open up new knowledge from the storyline line that feeds the movie's researchers and directors, especially as a mass communication medium that can provide a spectacle so easily. One of the movie on social issues was that of transcribing light. Light copyists discuss sexual harassment that often occurs in public domains, particularly in the field of education. The elaborately researched problem is to find the myth that the text producers in the light-prescribing film. Researchers use a descriptive qualitative method of research with the semiotics of Roland Barthes. Further analysis of the data is made by documenting observations of each scene relating to sexual harassment behavior that is linked to the literature that researchers obtain. In this regard, researchers have discovered a myth that wakes up in the array of several carefully studied scenes - the myth of the exploitation of the body in installation art. The behavior of this body exploitation is sexual abuse without physical touch because the perpetrator only uses part of the victim's body as an inspiration for the installation. Thus, it may be desolated to the film that has given the public a new insight into the motives of the now prevalent cases of sexual abuse without.

Abstract

This research is a study that examines the application of a journalistic code of ethics by Jatimnow.com journalists who carry out their journalistic duties in crime news. This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. The data comes from interviews with journalists, observations, and documentation from the online media Jatimnow.com. This study aims to find out how Jatimnow.com journalists apply the journalistic code of ethics to criminal news. Journalists are people whose job is to cover news in the media. Like other professions, journalists have a journalistic code of ethics that serves as a guide and a set of rules that must be applied in carrying out their duties in the field. The existence of a journalistic code of ethics makes news reliable for its truth and quality. Crime news is directly related to crime events that occur daily in society. The existence of extraordinary crimes that make criminals who are included in extraordinary crimes have special treatment, and Child Friendly Reporting Guidelines that journalists must pay attention to. The results of this study indicate that Jatimnow.com journalists have applied a journalistic code of ethics to criminal news. However, it was found that there were differences in the application of Article 2, namely, respecting the experience of the informants in presenting images in every criminal case that occurred. Because a recidivist perpetrator is considered the information must be known to the wider community in order to avoid the crime being repeated.

Abstract

Every human being has a different culture and self-identity. These differences can be adjusted through intercultural communication activities. This study discusses adjusting the language code in intercultural communication for students from Nusa Tenggara Timur (NTT) towards Javanese Culture within the Stikosa-AWS Campus which aims to find out how the process of adjusting the language code in intercultural communication for students from NTT who interact with Javanese people. The method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive method in which to analyze data on cases that occur objects. The research subjects were five students from NTT, one of whom was born in Surabaya and lives near the Stikosa-AWS Campus. The results of this study indicate that verbal and nonverbal are used when adapting the language code between students from NTT to Javanese culture. A dialect is a verbal form that NTT students can adapt due to daily interactions. There are only slight differences in nonverbal forms such as gestures, expressions, accents, intonation, and tempo of NTT students who live in the Javanese ethnic area, namely, only body movements. The processes NTT students can go through with Javanese culture are assimilation and integration. NTT students and the surrounding Javanese community both assimilate without prejudice to each other to gain comfort and peace. The integration process is carried out by maintaining regional language codes but still interacting with each other. The attitude that must be possessed by NTT students and the Javanese community is to emphasize mutual tolerance.
