Abstract

Now days, the outdoor advertising has been the effective way to promoted brand, prod- uct, or company. However, it’s could be negative with worst controlled by the government. In fact, Sleman economics importance is bigger than public importance. Economics importance belong to the government and advertising agency and public importance belong to society and target audience. This article tried to focus about economic importance and public importance connected.

Abstract

It was originally presented in Yogyakarta as a community magazine for The Alumni with the contents about the details of Yogyakarta. The formulation of the research is how brand equity improves the brand image of KABARE Magazine. The type of the research is qualitative with KABARE Magazine as the object of the research, located in Jl. Pacar 67A, Baciro, Yogyakarta. Primary data source are obtained from the Executive Director of PT. KABARE Jogja Media Pariwara, while secondary data are gathered through mass media, internet, and so on. In order to conduct validity test, the researcher uses source triangulation and data analysis technique of combination analysis model. The result of this research is about image which is the evaluation from consumers regarding a product. Creating an image requires high persistence and patience. Image is resulted from a score of result obtained by a company for its product, either positive or negative. The image of KABARE Magazine as a dynamic magazine by levering culture, the social life dynamics in Yogyakarta has clung to the heart of its consumers. Brand equity produced by KABARE essentially is a magazine for upper middle class segmentation and is still bound to their community. KABARE Magazine creates image as an exclusive lifestyle magazine, highly cultural and has distinctive local content. The brand of KABARE already has a spot in the hearts of its customers. The strong bonding established by KABARE with its customers has built “a real belonging” to the brand of this magazine. Removing the word Jogja to the logo of KABARE has prevented public opinion concerning an excessive cultural cult of a region.

Abstract

This research, entitled “Nilai-nilai Gotong-royong Dalam Tari Mbuah Page” (Analisis Semiotika Nilai-nilai Gotong-royong Dalam Tari Mbuah Page pada Acara Adat Merdang-merdemdi Desa Perbesi Kecamatan Tigabinanga Kabupaten Karo Sumatera Utara). This research starts from the assumption that the Mbuah Page dance as one of the traditional arts are not just as a means of entertainment, but loaded with deep values. This dance is one of the traditional dance of the Karo people who are still found in traditional event Merdang-Merdem in Perbesi Village . This dance is used as media to convey the message of values mutual assistance. Mbuah Pagedance describes how villagers conducting a series of activities in the fields, ranging from rice planting until harvest results. This research aimed to identify the symbols used in Mbuah Pagedance on Merdang-merdem ceremony. The research method used in this study is qualitative and interpretative methods of inter- pretation Semiotics of Roland Barthes. Analysis of the data in this study are exploratory descrip- tive explanations to describe and explain a phenomenon. Test the validity of data is a source of triangulation to strengthen the analysis in this research. The results mentioned that Mbuah Page dance used the media to convey the message the values of mutual assistance. The message was built by the symbolism inherent in the dance, among others, whole body movements of dancers, musical accompaniment, traditional clothing and other devices all of which have relationships with one another. It can be concluded from this research process have meanings that explain the noble values of mutual help and Mbuah Pagedance became the media to convey the message to the public about the importance of a spirit of mutual assistance in a life together.
