Abstract

Background: Soybean tempeh is known to contain various kinds of antioxidants such as vitamin C, vitamin E, vitamin B2, saponins, isoflavones, phytic acid, lecithin, iron, and phytosterol. Antioxidants are thought to be hepatoprotective. The objective of this research is to know the influence of soybean tempeh extract to the liver histological damage of mice (Mus musculus) and the increase of soybean tempeh extract dose can also increase protection effect to the liver histological damage of mice (Mus musculus) which is induced by paracetamol. Methods: This was laboratory experimental research with the post test only controlled group design. Samples were 32 male mice, Swiss webster type, 2-3 months old age and 20 g of each weight. Samples were divided into 4 groups of 8 mice each. Sampling technique used in this research was incidental sampling. Mice for control group (K) and P1 group will be given aquadest for 14 days in a row. The P2 and P3 group will be given soybean tempeh extracts dose for 14 days in a row. Soybean tempeh extracts dose in each group was 2.2 mg/20 g weight of mice and 4.4 mg/20 g weight of mice. Paracetamol will be given to P1, P2, and P3, with dose 5 mg/20g weight of mice on the 12th to 14th days. On the 15th day, hepar of mice was taken and stainned with Hematoxylin Eosin (HE) for histopathological study. The hepar cells of mice were observedmicroscopically by counting the number of necrosis cells on the centrolobuler zone. The data were analyzedby Oneway ANOVA test and Post Hoc test (?=0.05). Results:The average damage of hepar cells in the K, P1, P2, P3 were 20.75 1.58; 85.00 2.98; 43.75 2.92; 31.002.00consecutively. The results of Oneway ANOVA test showed a significant difference in all group (p < 0.05). The results of Post Hoc test showed significant differences between K P1, K P2, K P3, P1 P2, P1 P3, and P2 P3 with p < 0.05. Conclusion: The soybean tempeh extracts can prevent the histological damage of the hepar cells of mice (Mus musculus) and the increase of soybean tempeh extracts dose followed by the increase of protection effect to the liver cell damaging of mice which is induced by paracetamol. Abstract

TITLEIMPLEMENTATION OF 5R TO PREVENT OCCUPATIONAL DISEASES IN SRAGEN INFORMAL INDUSTRY TO DENTAL, ORAL AND RESPIRATORY TRACT HEALTHABSTRACTPilang village in Sragen are famous for the production of batik clothes that still using manual processes to produces the batik. Most of the batik industry in this village produced for local industry that is not familiar with the implementation of health and safety, that caused many complaining of occupational diseases in workplace. The one of occupational disease is a disease of the teeth and the mouth and respiratory  that indicated caused from dye clothing, wax and smoke from burning wood and gas for drying the batik fabrics motif by workers. To prevent the impact of occupational illness, one preventive method that can be used is the 5R.Respondents are batik workers at the Pilang village in Masaran District of Sragen that total respondents are 37 peoples. The method that used in hazard identification, risk assessment and determinating control (HIRADC). After the a priority scale through the model of HIRADC determinated, then performed the corrective actions taken by using a hierarchy of control especially the 5R methods.The workers of Batik Industry in PilangVillage has exposure the CO gas that exceeds the threshold value at 69-90 ppm, and temperature humidity index at 32.5-33.50C. Especialy for behavioral factors is working without personal protective equipment that are harmful to health due to exposure to gas and dye clothing. Key words : 5R, batik workers, occupational diseases, dental mouth disease, respiratory problems

Abstract

Indonesia consists of formal (46,4%) and informal workers (53,6%). Informal sector industry has a role contributes to the national economy. Nowadays the informal sector industry does not get maximal attention in terms of occupational safety and health especially on musculoskeletal disorders by repetitive workers. The aim of this study is to analysis levels of musculoskeletal disorders in convection workers. This study used an observational analysis method with cross-sectional approach and the subject was the woman with 32 workers in Bangsri village, Karangpandan. The assessment of MSDs was used Nordic Body Map and Rapid Entire Body Assessment for work posture. The results showed that work period (0,034) and work posture (0,012) correlated significantly with Musculoskeletal disorders. Age, work period and work posture explains 47,1% of MSDs and the remaining 52,9% was explained by other variables that not included in this research. The conclusion of this research is 62,5% workers (20 people) experienced high levels of MSDs dan 37,5% workers (12 people) experienced moderate levels of MSDs. Exercise can reduce the risk of MSDs around the shoulder. Keywords: Musculoskeletal disorders, REBA, nordic body map, convection, risk factors
