Abstract

Way Besai River's catchment area is used as agricultural, tourism, and hydroelectrica power plant (PLTA) purposes. PLTA Way Besai was built for generating electrical power using the height of a waterfall from Way Besai River, however nowadays PLTA Way Besai is having a decrease of electrical power because of the now happening drought. The power decrease reached until 40 MW while it used to have 90 MW power supply causing only a rough 50 MW energy power left to be operated. The metode that is used in estimating the value of sediment discharge is by using the Universal Soil Loss Equation (USLE) method and Measured Sediment Analysis. From the analysis results, the overall value of sediment was attained by merging the value of suspended load and bed load which is 170528,443 m 3 /year. The value of seddiment that is attained from USLE methode is 105520,738 m 3 /year.

Abstract

The people of Pasaran Island, Kota Karang Village, Teluk Betung Timur District, Bandar Lampung City in their daily activities rely on clean water distributed by PDAM Way Rilau with a relatively small discharge. Population growth every year will increase the amount of water demand. This study aims to determine the potential of harvesting rainwater as an alternative to fulfill water sources on Pasaran Island. In this study, projection calculations, spatial analysis, hydrological analysis calculations, and water quality laboratory tests were carried out. The calculation results show that the water needs of the people of Pasaran Island in 2030 are 230,75 m3/day with the potential for rainwater that can be accommodated at 5.477,76 m3/day. The quality of rainwater on Pasaran Island has met the quality standards based on the Regulation of the Minister of RI Number 416/MENKES/PER/IX/1990. So that it shows that rainwater on Pasaran Island has the potential to be used as an alternative to fulfill the community's clean water.

Abstract

Universitas Lampung yang terletak di kecamatan Rajabasa menjadi salah satu lokasi rawan banjir, yang disebabkan oleh tidak berfungsinya sistem drainase. Sebagai kawasan perguruan tinggi yang seharusnya menjadi tempat pendidikan yang nyaman sepatutnya terus dilakukan peningkatan fasilitas dan infrastrukturyang menunjang peningkatan kualitas akademik dan non akademik. Salah satu bentuk peningkatan kualitas non-akademik adalah penataan lingkungan, yaitu perencanaan pembangunan sistem drainase.Hal ini dimaksudkan untuk menyelesaikan beberapa titik genangan banjir yang terjadi pada saat musim penghujan. Sistem drainase yang ada belum optimal. Analisis yang dilakukan pada penelitian ini meliputi analisis hidrologi yang bertujuan untuk menghitung debit rencana menggunakan metode rasional dan mengetahui kapasitas tinggi muka air pada saluran eksisting.Nilai dari tinggi muka air akan diketahui posisi titik banjir pada saluran eksisting.Berdasarkan hasil analisis, tidak ada data bahwa tinggi muka air di saluran yang melebihi tinggi saluran. Tetapi di beberapa titik tidak memiliki saluran drainase.Sehingga menyebabkan air menggenang. Untuk mengatasi genangan tersebut harus dibuat saluran drainase dengan kode PR1 – PR4, dengan ukuran dimensi tinggi saluran 50 cm, lebar saluran 50 cm dan panjang saluran ± 240 m.

Abstract

Bad water resource management caused water availability unable to be fulfiled to the maximum level throughout the year, especially in the dry season. The water crisis becomes a difficult problem because  the tendency of people’s anticipation only glued to the conventional water sources which are susceptible to dry out, such as wells and others. This study aimed to determine the condition of surface runoff resources in the Bandar Lampung city. And also to provide a solution of problems that often occur in the Bandar Lampung city, especially in the dry season. This research conducted using MWGIS software as a program for making geographical information of Bandar Lampung city conditions in general and  rivers condition specifically. In this digital era, information of rivers based on digital data are required for society and the government as an instrument to establish decisions and policies in the management of surface runoff resources, especially in case of rivers in Bandar Lampung city. The output from MWGIS is an illustration of a geographical condition of Bandar Lampung city which in simple form map contains a variety of information that related to the geographical conditions, such as land cover data, topography, slopes, rivers, districts, villages and many others depend on how far the manufacturing database / information in MWGIS required.

Abstract

Way Besai river is located in Sumberjaya subdistrict, West Lampung district, Lampung. It is one of the sub river from Tulang Bawang river. Way Besai river has been used as a the electric power source, known as Besai hydropower. Besai Hydropower has decreased energy supply of 40 MW from the supply optimum can reachs 90 MW. his is due to the catcment area conditions of the Way Besai rivers are "metastable" so which effected in the shallowing of the cross-section quickly. So it needs the capacity increased of the cross-section of the river until the early condition where is the supply can reachs 90 MW.For the first step in improving the capacity of the Way Besai river needed hydraulics river simulation process that facilitated by using Hydrologic Engineering Center-River Analysis System (HEC-RAS) Program. HEC-RAS program can help to modeling the flow of cross-section of the river on the existing condition and normalization using the steady flow options and data input including maximum discharge data. The output of modeling using HEC-RAS program can be seen in the form of pictures and a table that presents the characteristics of a cross-section of the river.From the result of the analysis founded that to reach the normalization condition, needs the dredging until the elevation +713,00 level, with 2.435.590,09 m3 of volume capacity of dredging. When the water level of the river reachs Full Supply Level (FSL) elevation that is on elevation +722,00 level founded that the maximum discharge in the downstream in the amount of 57,19 m3/s, with water volume capacity in the 1.471.185,77 m3. For the Reservoir Surface Area in Way Besai river has increased with 28,6% from the exsisting condition that recorded from Sta 0+000 level until sta 3+391,45 level Keywords: Debit ,HEC-RAS, Manning calibration , Normalization, River.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk memberikan informasi dan gambaran umum kepada masyarakat tentang air tanah yang ada dengan cara menginventarisasi, mengeksploitasi, mengeksplorasi dan konservasi air tanah di Kota Bandar Lampung. Studi ini menggunakan program Geographic Information System (GIS) yang didukung dengan data sekunder berupa peta Bandar Lampung, data air tanah serta data curah hujan. Dalam penelitian ini dilakukan digitasi terhadap peta yang terdiri dari peta kondisi eksisting Bandar Lampung yang selanjutnya dioverlay dengan titik lokasi sumur bor menggunakan program GIS. Selain proses digitasi, dilakukan pula analisa neraca air tanah yakni antara tinggi air pengambilan sumur bor dengan tinggi hujan yang terinfiltrasi. Hasil dari penelitian didapatkan nilai keseimbangan air di tiap zona infiltrasi pada tahun 2006 yakni untuk zona infiltrasi <1.10-2 cm/detik selisihnya sebesar 7,909 m/tahun, zona infiltrasi antara 1.10-2 - 2.10-2 cm/detik selisih 7,896 m/tahun dan zona infiltrasi > 2.10-2 cm/detik 7,881 m/tahun. Jika diasumsikan setiap tahun mengalami peningkatan jumlah sumur sebesar 10% maka pada tahun 2016, untuk zona infiltrasi <1.10-2 cm/detik selisihnya sebesar 7,896 m/tahun, zona infiltrasi antara 1.10-2 - 2.10-2 cm/detik selisih 7,863 m/tahun dan zona infiltrasi >2.10-2 m/detik 7,823 m/tahun. Dari hasil analisa tersebut bisa disimpulkan pada tahun 2016 air tanah masih mencukupi untuk kebutuhan Kota Bandar Lampung, namun jika di lanjutkan sampai tahun 2079 kemungkinan akan mengalami krisis air tanah.Kata kunci : air tanah, neraca air, Geographics Information System (GIS)

Abstract

Peningkatan akan kebutuhan air untuk irigasi maupun kebutuhan air baku, membuat Pemerintah Provinsi Lampung perlu meningkatakan insfrastruktur pada bidang pengairan atau irigasi, maka perlu dilakukan pembuatan Bendungan. Di Universitas Lampung sendiri telah di bangun Embung digunakan untuk mengatur atau menampung aliran air hujan, meningkatkan kualitas air serta dapat menjaga kualitas air tanah dan mencegah banjir. Pada dasarnya untuk membangun sebuah konstruksi sangat berkaitan erat dengan sifat fisik dan mekanis pada tanah. Hal tersebut dikarenakan tanah adalah material yang berperan sangat penting sebagai pendukung suatu konstruksi. Pada penelitian ini menggunakan dua pemadatan, yaitu pemadatan dengan menggunakan tumbukan dan pemadatan dengan menggunakan tekanan yang menggunakan standard proctor. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk  mengetahui perbandingan  dengan menggunakan tumbukan dan  menggunakan metode tekanan. Pemadatan dilakukan berdasarkan metode tumbukan dan tekanan. Metode tekan digunakan alat tekan modifikasi dengan tekanan 5 MPa, 10 MPa, dan 15 MPa. Dari hasil penelitian dilaboratorium dengan metode tumbukan didapatkan berat volume kering sebesar 1,7 gr/cm³. bila dikonversi  terhadap uji tekan modifikasi didapatkan nilai sebesar 7 MPa. Kata Kunci : Pemadatan Metode Standard, Pemadatan Metode Tumbukan, Ydalik

Abstract

Water problems consist of three types: flood, drought, and water pollution. Floods are recognized as a significant source of threat to human life. One of the flood prevention actions that can be done is to optimize the drainage channels. Drainage can be defined as a technical action to reduce excess water so that the function of the area or land is not disturbed. University of Lampung is one of the locations prone to flooding. Therefore, a research to overcome the flood that occurred at the University of Lampung has been conducted (Case Study: Zone III Rectorate Area - Faculty of Agriculture). The purposes of this research are to analyze the drainage system of University of Lampung and to design drainage system that fulfill flood discharge plan. The research was conducted by survey in the field. The analysis conducted in this study include hydrological analysis and hydraulics analysis using HEC-RAS4.1.0 application. Calculation of discharge plan using rational method.. Based on the analysis results, there are no channels that are not sufficient for flood discharge, but there are some channels that are disconnected and cause the water to not flow. The disconnected channels are located on the channel with the DN5 and DN62 codes. For that, it is recommended to create a channel connecting DN62 channel with DN63, and make a channel on channel DN5 to DN65. The budget required for the repair of this channel is Rp 207,203,725.00 (Two Hundred Seven Million Two Hundred and Three Thousand Seven Hundred Twenty Five Rupiah).Keywords: Drainage, HEC-RAS, hydrology, hydraulics, floods

Abstract

In the Faculty of Medicine, University of Lampung there is a pool with a small reservoir that can overflow during the rainy season, because it has not been able to accommodate the inflow water. The solution is planning a small dam to increase its function as water reservoir, flood control, and conservation.The methods are used to redesign this small dam conservation are hydrological analyses, small dam construction planning, analysis stability of  planned constructions and estimating building construction cost.  The result are storage capacity of small dam is 3627,9560 m3 from storage capacity before redesign is 3219,7176 m3, the flood debit of 0,8219  m3/s with cycle period 5 years,  small dam planned height of 4,5 m,withabaseelevationat+103,5 thedamcrestelevation+106,61. Spillway which used is Open Ogee type and basin specific energy building Vlughter type. Stability small dam construction stated as safe with flood condition, normal condition and empty condition. Cost estimated of design planning of conservation small dam at Medicine Faculty University of Lampung is Rp3.265.660.000. Abstract

In the implementation of building construction, the main thing to consider is soil material. Based on that assumptions, soil has a role as a construction material and as a placement of construction.. Therefore, one of the examination processes to discover the soil bearing capacity is California Bearing Ratio (CBR) testing. Compaction in the testing has been done within heavy vehicle pressure on field with the amounts; 2.7 MPa,7 MPa, and 8.4 MPa and the soil sample is from Tirtayasa Area, Sukabumi, Bandar Lampung.The result testing in laboratory had been showed that the soils were classified into A-2-7 soil group that was silty sand type. CBR value without soaking process within modified proctor was 9% and for soaking condition soil was 4.2%. Modified laboratory CBR values of without-soaking condition every pressure were 5.5%, 9.4%, and 9.9%, whereas for the soaking condition were 0.77%, 2.6.5, and 3.3%. In conclusion, the values of CBR are increase as the additions of the pressure given.keywords:heavyvehicle, modifiedpressure’s tool, modified CBR laboratorytest.
