Abstract

This unlicensed gold mining activity (PETI) can have a positive impact on the economy of the community, in the form of increased incomes so that it can improve the welfare of the community. However, besides having a positive impact, PETI's activities will harm the environment around the mining area. The negative impact caused by mining activities is environmental damage in the form of a decrease in land quality as indicated by a decrease in physical, chemical and biological soil quality. The purpose of this study was to determine the nutrient content and the total of microbes in former PETI soils in sub-districts of the Kuantan Singingi Regency. The parameters observed were analysis of nutrient content consisting of analysis of sand, dust, clay, soil pH, C-organic, N-total, P2O5, K2O, interchangeable cations, CEC, a saturation of bases, Aluminum Saturation, and analysis of total soil microbes. The results showed that the Singingi sub-district, Central Kuantan sub-district, Sentoja sub-district, and Logas Tanah Darat sub-district has the texture of sand soil clay to sand, the content of pH H2O Land classified as fertility is very sour, C-Organic (%), Ca-dd, Nitrogen-Total (%), Mg-dd and CEC with very low fertility criteria, C/N Ratio with low to very low fertility criteria, K-dd content with low criteria, Na-dd with moderate to very high criteria, aluminum saturation is very high with wet saturation the fertility criteria are low. The total microbes in the Sub-district of Sentoja Raya and Logas Tanah Darat Sub-district are much higher than Singingi Sub-district and Central Kuantan Sub-district.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to know the effect of Eucalyptus pellita growth interactionally and individually on media treatment and control release fertilizer, high yield technology. The research was carried out at the R & D Nursery PT. Arara Abadi during four months, from October 2013 to January 2013. The completely Randomized Design with two factors was used. The first factor consisted of media (M) and the second factor by giving HYT (H). The parameters observed were plant height, stem diameter, number of leaves per plant, root length, root volume, biomass total, growing percentage, and seed quality. The results showed that Eucalyptus pellita gave a significant effect on treatment media interaction with control release fertilizer high yield technology for pant height with the best combination on M1H0 (26.77cm), number of eaves on M2H0 (10.87 sheets), root length on M2H0 (98.63 cm), root volume on M1H0 (4 cm3), seed quality on M1H1, M1H2, M1H3 and M2H0 (98.67%). Eucalyptus pellita affected significantly on media treatment for pant height with the best treatment on M1 (25.06 cm), stem diameter on M1 (2.60 mm), number of leaves on m1 (10.45), root volume on M1 (3.13 cm3), growing percentage on M3 (96.40%), and seed quality on M197.33%). Eucalyptus pellita showed the best response on giving control release fertilizer, high yield technology for plant height on H0 (24.57 cm), stem diameter on H0 (2.53 mm), number of leaves on H0 (10.32 sheets), root length on H4 (11.96 cm), root volume H0 (3.47 cm3), and seed quality on H0 (94.40%).

Abstract

The objective of this research was to examine the effect of using dolomit and amelioran KCa intereactional and individual on growth of mini cutting for Eucalyptus pellita. The research was conducted at R & D Nursery PT. Arara Abadi during four months from October 2012 to January 2013. The completely randomized design was used by using two factorials. The first factor was P1 (Dolomit 6 kg/m3), P2 (Dolomit 1 g/m3), P3 (Kca 2 kg/m3), and P4 (Kca 5 kg/m3)). The second factor was M1 = Peat Media: CRH (3:1), M2 = Medya CRH: CH (2:1), and M3 = Media CRH: CH (1:2). The observed parameters were plant height, number of leaf, stem diameter, root volume, root lenght, plant biomass, growth percentage, and quality control. The result showed the use of dolomit and ameioran KCa for various media intereactonal had a significant effect on plant height and eukaliptus pelita biomass and the best treatment on the combination between P3M1 and peat media. The using of dolomit and ameioran KCa individually had an effect on plant heiht, number of leaf, stem diameter root volume, and plant biomass with the best treatment on P3 treatment. Treatment of various kinds of medya, individually, effected significantly on plant height, steam diameter, leaf number, root volume, biomass, and quality control with the best treatment of M1(media feat: CRH 3:1).

Abstract

ABSTRACT The objective of this research is to examine the effect of various dosages of sludge of oil palm and NPK 16:16:16 fertiizers on growth and yield of roselle (Hibiscus safdariffa. L.). The research was carried out at the experimental farm Faculty of Agricuture Riau Islamic University Pekanbaru from May to October 2013. The competely randomized design with two factorials was used. The first factor was sludge of palm oi and the second factor was NPK 116:16:16 fertilizers. The observed parameters were plant height, flower age, harvest age, sepal number per plant, yield per plant, and number of sepal residue. Interactionally, the use of oil palm sudge of and NPK 16:16:16 fertiizers on rocella showed a significant effect on the number of flower sepal and yield per plant with the best treatment on combination of oil palm sludge with 6 kg/plot and NPK 16:16:16 fertilizers with 22.5 g/plant. Individually, the application of oil palm sludge gave a significant effect on pant height, flower age, harvesting age, sepal number per plant, yield per plant, and number of sepal residue with the best treatment on giving oil palm sludge of 6 kg/plot. The application of NPK 16:16:16 fertilizers affected significanty on plant height, flower age, harvest age, sepal number per plant, yield per plant, and number of sepal residue with the best treatment on giving NPK 16:16:16 fertilizers of 22.5 g/plant.

Abstract

A research on maize tolerance on soil given sludge pulp and TSP was carried out at the experimental farm Faculty of Agriculture Riau Islamic University Pekanbaru from April to July 2012. The objective of the research was to see the tolerance sludge pulp and TSP interaction as well as individual on maize growth. The randomized completely design with two factorial was used for the experiment. The first factor was application of sludge pulp, consisting of four treatment namely P0 (control), P1 (14 g/plot), P2 (28 g/plot), and P3 (42 g/plot).The second factor was application of TSP, consisting of four treatment namely K0 (control), K1 (14 g/plot), K2 (28 g/plot), and K3 (42 g/plot). The observed parameters were plant height (cm), total wide leave (cm), bloomy age (day), harvested age (day), cob length (cm), number of row per cob (row), and seed weight per cob (kg). Data resulted from observation were analyzed statically and continued BNJ Test at 5% confidence level. As a result, tolerance of maize on soil given sludge pulp and TSp interactionally and individually had an effect on seed weight with the best result was showed by P3K3 treatment with 47.50 g. While, the obervation on plant height, total wide leave, bloomy age, harvested age, cob length, and number of row per cob had no a significant effect, but maize still can tolerate at a dosage of 42 g/plot.

Abstract

The objective of this research was to know the effect of the mixed grow medya and various atonic concentrations on seed growth of Eucalyptus pellita. The research was conducted at the R and D Nursery of PT. Arara Abadi from October to Desember 2012. The completely randomized design was used with two factors, namely Medya (M) and 5 treatments. The atonic concentration (A) consisted of 4 treatments. The first factor M0 (peat + charcoal husk; 3 : 1), M1 (charcoal husk + cocopeat + compost; 1 : 1 : 1), M2 (charcoal husk + cocopeat + compost; 2 : 1 : 1), M3 (charcoal husk + cocopeat + compost; 1 : 2 : 1), and M4 (charcoal husk + cocopeat + compost; 1 : 1 : 2). The second factor was atonic application (A) with concentration of 0, 2, 4, and 8 cc per liter water. The observed parameters were plant height, number of leaves, stalk diameter, root lenght, root volume and compactness, plant bomass, grow percentage, and seed quality. The results showed that intereacion of mixed medya comparion and atonic application had no a significant effect on the obsrved parameters. The significant effect of medya was found on plant height, stalk diameter, grow percentage, and seed quaity with the best treatment was M4. The atonik application had no a significant effect on plant height, number of leaves, root volume, grow percentage and seed quallity, but had a significant effect on stalk diameter and root lenght.
