Abstract

Digital transformation in the education sector requires educational institutions to provide promotional media that deliver information quickly, interactively, and efficiently. LKP KARYA PRIMA KURSUS continues to experience limitations in information dissemination due to the reliance on conventional promotional approaches, reducing the effectiveness of digital branding and communication with prospective students. A multimedia website was developed to provide an integrated promotional platform that increases institutional visibility, accelerates access to information, and supports digital registration services. The Waterfall methodology was applied through the stages of requirements analysis, system design, implementation, testing, and maintenance. The implementation results demonstrate that the website was successfully developed with a responsive architecture that effectively presents multimedia content across desktop and mobile devices. System testing confirmed that all primary features operated according to functional specifications without critical errors. The integration of interactive multimedia improved the quality of information delivery and strengthened the institution’s digital brand identity. In addition, server optimization and responsive interface design produced stable page accessibility and efficient performance under various network conditions. The developed system also supports scalability for future feature expansion, including interactive services and real-time communication modules. These findings indicate that applying the Waterfall method effectively produces a multimedia promotional website that supports institutional promotion and digital branding in the educational sector.

Abstract

The increasing demand for efficiency and accuracy in service industries has encouraged the adoption of digital technologies, particularly in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) such as printing services. However, many organizations still rely on manual or semi-digital processes, leading to inefficiencies, data inconsistencies, and communication gaps across operational units. This study aims to improve operational efficiency in digital printing services through the design and implementation of a web-based information system. A qualitative case study approach was employed at CV. Raskha Media Group, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The system was developed using the Waterfall model and modeled with Unified Modeling Language (UML) to ensure structured development. The implementation integrates order management, inventory control, payment processing, and production workflows into a unified platform. System evaluation was conducted using Black Box and White Box testing, as well as ISO/IEC 25010 and System Usability Scale (SUS). The results show a 100% functional success rate, a SUS score of 74.1 indicating good usability, and an overall quality score of 89%, reflecting high system performance. These findings demonstrate that the proposed system effectively reduces operational errors, enhances inter-departmental communication, and improves overall efficiency. This study contributes to the advancement of information systems research by providing empirical evidence of the role of integrated web-based systems in supporting digital transformation and business process optimization in service-oriented SMEs.

Abstract

Abstract

Sex classification is a fundamental stage in forensic anthropology because it provides the basis for constructing an individual's biological profile during the identification process. Although Support Vector Machine (SVM) has demonstrated high performance for craniometric sex classification, previous studies have primarily focused on classification performance using the complete feature set, with limited evaluation of the trade-off between feature reduction and predictive performance. Therefore, this study aims to evaluate the influence of Information Gain feature selection on SVM performance, identify the optimal combination of Information Gain threshold and SVM kernel configuration, and analyse the trade-off between feature reduction and classification performance. The proposed approach was evaluated using the William W. Howells Craniometric Dataset consisting of 2,524 skull samples. After removing identification attributes, 82 predictor features were used for classification. The research process included data preprocessing, label transformation, Z-score normalization, Information Gain feature selection using threshold values of 0.01, 0.05, and 0.1, followed by classification using SVM with Linear, Radial Basis Function (RBF), Polynomial, and Sigmoid kernels. Model performance was evaluated using 10-fold cross-validation based on Accuracy, Precision, Recall, and F1-score. The baseline SVM model without feature selection achieved an accuracy of 89.59% using 82 features. Experimental results show that Information Gain effectively reduced feature dimensionality while maintaining competitive classification performance. The best feature-selection result was obtained using an Information Gain threshold of 0.01, which retained 68 features. The optimal configuration used the RBF kernel with C = 1 and gamma='auto', achieving an Accuracy of 89.42%, Precision of 90.73%, Recall of 89.69%, and F1-score of 90.17%. Compared with the baseline model, the Information Gain-based model reduced the number of features by 17.07% while producing an accuracy difference of only 0.17 percentage points. These findings indicate that Information Gain primarily contributes to feature reduction and model simplification rather than improving classification accuracy. The results demonstrate that a moderate reduction in craniometric features can maintain classification performance close to the baseline model and highlight the trade-off between feature reduction and predictive performance in computer-assisted forensic sex classification.

Abstract

This study aims to develop an IoMT Rehabilitation System based on the integration of Electromyography (EMG) sensors, embedded Internet of Medical Things (IoMT), adaptive actuators, and ergonomic design to improve the effectiveness of real-time adaptive medical rehabilitation. The study employed a Research and Development (R&D) method using a multidisciplinary approach integrating mechanical engineering, biomedical engineering, and embedded systems. The research subjects consisted of 42 participants, including mechanical engineers, biomedical engineers, rehabilitation physicians, and post-stroke patients with mild to moderate conditions. The research process included mechanical device design, prototype fabrication, EMG and IoMT sensor integration, biomechanical testing, and limited clinical validation. The results showed that the developed rehabilitation system achieved an EMG sensor reading accuracy of 94.2%, improved patient movement efficiency by 28%, and increased device comfort by 31% compared to conventional rehabilitation systems. Furthermore, the implementation of IoMT enabled real-time rehabilitation monitoring through a digital dashboard, allowing medical personnel to evaluate therapy progress more objectively and systematically. The integration of EMG-based adaptive actuators successfully created a closed-loop rehabilitation system capable of providing dynamic movement assistance according to the patient’s physiological conditions. This study contributes to the development of smart rehabilitation engineering based on biomechanics, IoMT, and ergonomic design as a more adaptive, precise, and efficient solution for modern medical rehabilitation.
