Abstract

This research was aimed at descriting the planning, implementation and evaluation in the learning process of writing short story in SMP Negeri 2 Bandar Lampung. This metnod of the research was qualitative descriptive. The result showed that in the implementation, there were two activities; teacher activity and students activity. There were three steps in teacher activities; introduction, main activity and closing. In main activity the students are able to (1) observe, (2) ask, (3) try (4) understand (5) and communicate. Teacher evaluated the student based on students attitude by observing the student directly, student knowledge by giving the written test and students skill by practicing to write a short story.Tujuan penelitian adalah mendeskripsikan perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan penilaian pada kegiatan pembelajaran menulis cerita pendek di SMP Negeri 2 Bandar Lampung. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pada perencanaan pembelajaran, guru membuat rencana pelaksanaan pembelajaran berdasarkan komponen-komponen RPP pada Kurikulum 2013. Pada pelaksanaan pembelajaran terdapat dua aktivitas yaitu, aktivitas guru dan aktivitas siswa. aktivitas yang dilakukan guru meliputi tiga tahap kegiatan, yaitu kegiatan pendahuluan, kegiatan inti, dan kegiatan penutup. Pada kegiatan ini terjadi aktivitas siswa yang meliputi (1) aktivitas mengamati, (2) aktivitas menanya, (3) aktivitas mencoba, (4) aktivitas menalar, (5) aktivitas mengomunikasikan. Penilaian yang dilakukan oleh guru mencakup penilaian kompetensi sikap dengan teknik observasi langsung, penilaian kompetensi pengetahuan dengan teknik tes tertulis berupa soal uraian, dan penilaian kompetensi keterampilan dengan teknik tes praktik berupa membuat karangan teks cerita pendek.Kata kunci: menulis, sastra dan pembelajaran.

Abstract

This study investigated the effectiveness of the reciprocal teaching method in enhancing students’ reading comprehension. Employing a quasi-experimental quantitative design, it utilized descriptive texts as instructional materials and analyzed data through pre- and post-tests using JASP software. Normality test results showed significance values of 0.083 (pre-test) and 0.735 (post-test), indicating normally distributed data. Homogeneity tests yielded significance values of 0.849 and 0.108, suggesting equal variances between groups. An independent samples t-test revealed no significant difference in pre-test scores (p = 0.383), but a significant improvement in post-test results (p < 0.001), highlighting the positive influence of reciprocal teaching on reading comprehension and metacognitive skills. Conducted at a junior high school in Banyuwangi, the study involved 30 students 16 in the experimental group and 14 in the control group. In addition to assessing instructional outcomes, the research also explored the broader educational benefits of the method.

Abstract

In this globalization era, technological developments are increasing rapidly. The use of media in learning is also increasingly diverse, ranging from traditional to modern. Especially in this Covid era, as educators we are required to be creative and innovative in choosing media in learning to increase students' interest in learning. The use of technological media in learning is one way that is used so that learning can continue during face-to-face meeting restrictions. Digital Story Telling is one of the appropriate learning media during this Pandemic era. Providing material in digital form is expected to be able to be conveyed to students without reducing student learning interest.
