Abstract

The objective of this research was to asses the effect of organic liquid fertilizer application in shoot of coconut plant to coconut sap production. This research was held in Candinata Village, Kutasari Distric, Purbalingga District in August 2015. The treatments were application of organic liquid fertilizer, and without application of organic liquid fertilizer. The data was collected one week after treatment application until three weeks respectively. The observed variables were volume of coconut sap production per day, pH, and sugar brix content. The result of this research showed that organic liquid fertilizer application in shoot of coconut plant increase the coconut sap production (10,89%) and sugar brix (one point) in dry season.

Abstract

Tujuan kegiatan ini untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan, keterampilan, dan meningkatkan pendapatan serta produksi perikanan khususnya komoditas Nila. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi kegiatan alih teknologi, pelatihan dan percontohan serta aplikasi dan pendampingan teknologi produksi. Hasil pelaksanaan alih teknologi menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman peserta mengenai teknologi bioflok. Selanjutnya sebagai aplikasi digunakan 3 buah kolam masing-masing diisi ikan nila dengan kepadatan 250ekor/m3, kolam 1 diberi diberi perlakuan penambahan sumber karbon berupa molase, kolam 2 sumber karbon berupa tepung tapioka dan kolam 3 berupa kontrol tanpa penambahan sumber karbon. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penambahan sumber karbon berupa tepung tapioka menunjukkan laju pertumbuhan mutlak yang terbaik yaitu 9,14g. Nilai FCR berkisar 0,4-0,7. Kelangsungan hidup berkisar 90-95%. Produksi tertinggi dihasilkan oleh kolam 2 dengan perlakuan penambahan sumber karbon berupa tepung tapioka. Kualitas air yang meliputi temperatur, pH dan oksigen terlarut berada dalam kondisi yang optimal untuk pemeliharaan ikan Nila

Abstract

The use of anesthesia in the process of living fish transportation is an effort in keeping the physiology of fish alive and healthy to the destination. Durian leaves are one of the natural ingredients that can be used as fish anesthesia. The purpose of this research is to know the effective concentration of infusum durian leaves as anesthetic seeds of patin fish based on inductive time, sedative time and survival rate. Experimental studies use complete randomized designs, four treatments and threefold. The treatment of infusum concentrations of durian leaves 10%, 20%, 30%, and 40%. The time when fish begins to faint when inserted into the anesthesia solution is recorded as inductive time, whereas the time the fish began to recover back or knowingly recorded as a sedative time. The survival calculation is done on the number of fish surviving post-anesthesia with maintenance for 3 days. The results of this study showed that the effective concentration gained was 10%, with the inductive time (71.67 minutes) distinct from the apparent 20% concentration, but no apparent difference with the concentration of 30% and 40%. Meanwhile, the sedative time (0.25 minutes) differs from the concentration of 40%, but does not differ with concentrations of 20% and 30%. The survival rate of the fish seed Patin at a concentration of 10% showed real distinct results and reached 100%. Infusum concentration of durian leaves by 10% is an effective concentration in the anesthetic process of patin fish seeds.

Abstract

Durian leaves have been used extensively to aid in the anesthetic process in various types of fish. The purpose of this study was to determine the immotilization capacity and stress response and survival of Tilapia under anesthesia. The RAL study design (4x4) was carried out with the durian leaf infusion treatment at concentrations of 2%, 4%, 6% and 8%. The fastest induction and sedation times were at 8% and 6% concentrations, which were 12.33 minutes and 13.35 minutes, respectively. The highest survival rate was at a concentration of 2% which reached 100%. Blood glucose levels increased due to anesthesia, ranging from 67.75 to 134.25 mg/dL

Abstract

 ABSTRAKIkan Patin (Pangasius pangasius) saat ini merupakan komoditas perikanan air tawar yang cukup digemari dan memiliki nilai ekonomi yang relatif tinggi di Indonesia. Permasalahan yang dihadapi dalam budidaya ikan Patin adalah pertumbuhannya yang lambat. Penambahan rGH menjadi salah satu teknologi yang dapat membantu pertumbuhan ikan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui pengaruh pemberian Recombinant Growth Hormone (rGH) melalui metode oral dengan interval waktu berbeda terhadap pertumbuhan panjang mutlak, pertumbuhan berat mutlak, laju pertumbuhan spesifik, rasio konversi pakan dan kelangsungan hidup ikan Patin (Pangasius pangasius). Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu, Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) yang terdiri dari 5 perlakuan dan 3 ulangan dengan dosis penambahan rGH 2 mg/kg pakan. Perlakuan yang diberikan yaitu pakan tanpa rGH (P0); pakan dengan tambahan kuning telur (P1); pakan yang mengandung rGH dengan interval waktu pemberian 3 hari (P2); 4 hari (P3); dan 5 hari (P4). Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa pemberian pakan yang mengandung rGH dengan interval waktu 3 hari menunjukan hasil yang terbaik, dengan nilai pertambahan panjang mutlak 1,31±0,05 cm, pertambahan berat mutlak 5,17±0,03 gr, laju pertumbuhan spesifik 2,61±0,01%, rasio konversi pakan 1,06±0,01, dan kelangsungan hidup 90,00±0,00%. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah pemberian Recombinant Growth Hormone (rGH) melalui metode oral dengan interval waktu berbeda berpengaruh nyata terhadap pertumbuhan panjang mutlak, pertumbuhan berat mutlak, laju pertumbuhan spesifik, dan rasio konversi pakan. Namun tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap kelangsungan hidup ikan Patin (P. pangasius).

Abstract

The natural ingredient of clove oil can be used for fish anesthesia because it contains eugenol metabolite compounds. The study aims was to determine the effect of clove oil in induction and recovery time, survival and optimum dose for the anesthesia process of Nilem fish. The randomized trial design was complete with four treatments and four tests. Treatment dose 0.05; 0,10; 0,15; 0.20 mL/L is applied. The fastest induction time process at the 0.20 mL/L treatment, while the recovery time at the 0.05 mL/L treatment and 100% survival at the 0.10 mL/L treatment.
