Abstract

This study aims to describe the politeness of language in all pantun based on (1) wisdom maxims; (2) the maxim of generosity; (3) the maxim of reward; (4) the principle of praise / simplicity; (5) consensus maxim; and (6) sympathy principle. The data in this study are utterances in poetry which are categorized as polite if they are in accordance with the maximum assessment indicators and are categorized as impolite if they violate the maximum assessment indicators. Data collection techniques used in this study were observation techniques, recording techniques and data reduction. The data analysis techniques used were: (1) identifying the maxims in each speech data; (2) clarify the speech data from the identification results based on the maxims of politeness; (3) analyzing speech data based on the criteria for assessing the politeness of leech theory learning; (4) describe the results of the analysis of speech data into the principle of leech politeness. The results showed that there were utterances that met the maximum assessment criteria and some violated Leech's maxims of politeness. The descriptions are detailed as follows: (1) Based on the wisdom maxim, 3 expressions that fulfill the maxim and 2 words that violate the maxim are found; (2) maxim of generosity, found 11 data that obey the adage and no data that violates; (3) maxim reward found 7 data that violated the maxim and 1 data violated the maxim; (4) simplicity maxims, found 4 data that obey the maxims and 2 data that violate the maxims; (5) maxim of consensus, it was found that 4 data were in accordance with the maxims and there were no violating data; (6) proverbial conclusions, found 3 data that is obedient and no data that violates.

Abstract

The objectives of this study were (1) to describe the religious values contained in the verse Nasyid Salsabil, (2) to describe the way the poets describe the religious values in the verse nasyid Salsabil. The method used is a qualitative research method. The type of approach in this research is content analysis. The data in this study were all parts of the nasyid lyrics which contained religious values, with the source of the data being the verse nasyid Salsabil. Based on the results of the analysis, the data depicted in Salsabil's verse are (1) the relationship between man and God, including; pious and pray, (2) human relations with other humans, including; please help, advice, and affection, (3) human relations with society including; harmony, and wisdom, (4) human relations with oneself including; be humble and maintain self-respect. The results showed that the relationship between humans and God which is described in the verse of Nasyid Salsabil is that people repent and prostrate to Allah and read the words of Allah. Pray by asking Allah to be cleansed of his heart, asking Allah for his life to be preserved, and asking Allah for the blessing given to his mother. The relationship between humans and other humans as described in the verse of Nasyid Salsabil, namely unifying hearts to fight for religion, advising others to be enthusiastic in fighting for religion, directed to their children to always know God, remind others of avoiding acts that are prohibited by religion, advising to provide maternal services, advising married women and advice to remember death and. A mother's love for her child and a mother's patience in conceiving. The relationship between humans and society as described in nasyid verseis unity in upholding religion and maintaining Islamic identity and greeting and respecting invited guests. The relationship between man and himself which is depicted in nasyid verse is to greet and apologize, and to maintain Islamic brotherhood.

Abstract

The aim of this study was to describe the language attitudes of XI grade students of State Senior High School 1 Geumpang towards the Indonesian language. The total number of students in grade XI students of the school for the 2019/2020 school year was 120 students. As many as 30 students were chosen as research respondents by using a random sampling technique. This research used a quantitative descriptive approach. The data were collected using questionnaires distributed to students. The data obtained from the questionnaires were analyzed by using the Likert Scale to measure attitude, with answer categories ranging from Strongly Agree (SA), Agree (A), Doubt (D), Disagree (DA), and Strongly Disagree (SD). All data obtained from the questionnaires were coded to facilitate the data analysis. The data processing was carried out in several stages, i.e. compiling the questions in the questionnaire, asking students to fill out a questionnaire, and analyzing the data. The data were classified into two groups, i.e. positive and negative attitudes. The results revealed that grade XI students of State Senior High School 1 of Geumpang showed a positive attitude towards the Indonesian language.

Abstract

This study aims to find out the validity, reliability, difficulty level, differentiation, and function item problem of USBN casting in Bahasa Indonesia subjects at SMA Aceh Barat. The approach in this study is a quantitative approach. This research uses a type of quantitative descriptive research. The sample of this study amounted to 5 schools and this research data is 40 question from  the answer sheet of 50 students in each school. Data collection techniques with document studies. The data analysis techniques in this study used the AnatesV4.02 program. Analysis of problem items with a computer is a quantitative review of the question item whose calculations use the anates V4.02 application. The results of this study showed that the validity of USBN problems in Bahasa Indonesia subjects at SMA Aceh Barat district obtained 74valid questions with a validity level of 0.32-0.40 and 126 invalid questions with a degree of invalidity of 0.20. This invalidity is caused by the inaccuracy of explanation of each material by the teacher in the school so that students are unable to understand about the essence of the sentence. Reliability of USBN subjects in Bahasa Indonesia at SMA West Aceh district shows 0.61-0.73 in high reliability category. High school that gained the low reliability category was SMA Woyla of value  0.31. This is because the low understanding of students so as to cause problems classified in is very difficult. The difficulty level of USBN problems in Bahasa Indonesia subjects in SMA Kabupaten Aceh Barat can be seen from the difficulty index between 0.00 to 1.0. The degree of difficulty that dominates the difficulty level in each question studied is in the moderate category. The difficulty of this medium problem is influenced by the inaccuracy of the material provided by the teacher so that the student is not able to understand it completely. In addition, the question that is used as an evaluation is born from materials that are not taught by the teacher. The differentiation of USBN subjects in Bahasa Indonesia at SMA Aceh Barat district shows the percentage value includes a very good differentiation question 2 questions, good 56 questions, enough 71, and bad 71 questions. A series of differentiating power quality levels of this question appears that the differentiation of problems with very good quality is less compared to the quality of the differentiation of the problem with the category of good, sufficient, and bad. This quality difference because each question does not go through a validation and reliable process so as to have an effect on the differentiating power of each question.
