Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the parents' perception of the assignment based on online learning. The impact of the Covid-19 pandemic is felt by various fields, including the field of education. The implementation of online-based learning in giving assignments for early childhood has its own challenges and still requires online assistance and support from parents. This research is quantitative research. The sample in this study were group B children who were attending Khadijah 58 Kindergarten, amounting to 51 people. The results obtained in this study indicate that the parent's perception of the assignment based on online learning with a p-value < 0.005. The conclusion of this study is that there are significant differences in parental perceptions of the assignment of online learning-based tasks.

Abstract

Abstrak Pandemi covid-19 yang melanda seluruh dunia menyebabkan lumpuhnya sektor ekonomi, sosial budaya dan pendidikan. Kebijakan baru yang dikeluarkan oleh pemerintah Indonesia adanya Pembatasan Berskala Besar menyebabkan seluruh kegiatan diharuskan mulai dari rumah ataupun online. Salah satunya bidang pendidikan yang pelaksanaanya melalui daring dari jenjang Taman Kanak-kanak hingga Perguruan Tinggi. Hal ini menyebabkan beban orangtua yang semakin berat diharuskan menjadi guru pengganti di sekolah menjadi guru di rumah. Akibatnya tak sedikit pula orangtua yang belum memahami bagaimana cara mengajar anak hingga membuat rasa emosi semakin meluap. Komunikasi dalam keluarga sangat penting dilakukan. Terutama dalam masa pandemic seperti ini, berkomunikasi dengan anak selalu dilakukan saat mendampingi belajar. Oleh karena itu mahasiswa Pascasarjana Universitas Negeri Surabaya mengadakan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat guna memberikan solusi guna membangaun komunikasi yang ramah anak selama pandemi antara orangtua dan anak. Kata kunci: Covid-19, Reward dan Punishment, Komunikasi Efektif Abstract The COVID-19 pandemic that has hit the whole world has paralyzed the economic, socio-cultural and educational sectors. The new policy issued by the Indonesian government is the existence of Large-Scale Restrictions, causing all activities to be required to start from home or online. One of them is in the field of education, which is implemented online from Kindergarten to Higher Education levels. This causes an increasingly heavy burden on parents being required to become substitute teachers at school to become teachers at home. As a result, not a few parents who do not understand how to teach children to make emotions overflow. Communication within the family is very important. Especially during a pandemic, communicating with children is always done while accompanying learning. Therefore, Postgraduate students at the State University of Surabaya held community service activities to provide solutions to build child-friendly communication during the pandemic between parents and children.
