Abstract

Safar is one month in the Hijriyah Calendar. The Arabs since the time of Jahiliyah consider the safar month to be an unlucky month. This is still followed by some parts of the Melayu Sungai Jambu community. The community carries out the tradition of safar bathing and other rituals to obtain safety and avoiding bad luck on the safar month. Qualitative research using ethnographic methods determines the subject of religious leaders and traditional leaders, the techniques used to obtain information or data are non-participant observation, telephone interviews, and direct interviews. The results of this study that for the Melayu Sungai Jambu community to read congratulations and refuse prayers is a form of confidence to be saved from disaster and illness in the month of safar. Then read surah al-Fatihah, al-Ikhlas, an-Naas and al-Falak get a reward from Allah SWT. Furthermore, the safar bath is also a purified part of the reinforcements and diseases, besides that, it also removes odors, dust, and moisturizes the skin. However, the belief of the Sungai Jambu Malay community towards the safari month that brought disaster and disease contradicts the theory of Educational Theology and authentic Hadith about the safar month.

Abstract

The Sungai Jambu Malay society believes that the Safar Month brings curses and illness. Avoiding this, the local community does the Safar bath ritual by reading selected shurah in the Qur’an, performing ablution, praying safely, praying rejecting curses, blessings to the Prophet, Zikir, swearing the utterance that there is no god but Allah, helping each other, friendship, eating together, praying the intention to do  Safar bath with the aim to obtain safety and avoid curses in the month of Safar. This study uses a qualitative approach with ethnographic methods. The subject of the study is religious leaders and customary leaders. The techniques used in the study are non-participant observation, phone interviews and direct interviews.  The study revealed that the Sungai Jambu Malay society praying for the safety,  praying for longevity and rejecting disasters are a form of confidence in order that they saved from disasters and illness in the Safar month. Besides reading the surahs of al-Fatihah, al-Ikhlas, an-Naas and al-Falak to get a reward from Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala, doing ritual bath during the safar month for the Sungai Jambu Malay society is the purification from disasters and disease. In addition, bathing also removes odors, dust, and moisturizes the skin. However, the belief of the Sungai Jambu Malay society towards the Safar month, which brought curses and illness,  there is a gap and contrary to the valid Hadith regarding the safar month.

Abstract

Initiated by the hypothesis of Ahmad 'Izzat rajih that thinking is a conscious activity with originality as its destination. Meanwhile, through the theory of Oedipus complex, Freud opened the debate that the discourse on creativity must include the discourse on God. Freud's courageous act immediately leaves a serious issue. Serious impact can be seen from the history of thought in the West as if flowing in a flat mannet, without criticism and with the same pattern of implication. These viruses then infected the thought in the Islamic world even more acute in the modern period even though it had previously orbited creative thinkers with a diverse spectrum of original ideas to break away from the acute disease of original ideas such as al-Ghazali, Ibn 'Arabi, Mulla Sadra until Suh}rawardi al- Maqtul. This paper, through academic journey which initiates a meeting point for psychoanalytic-sufic approach, reveals that the original reason for the implementation of creative imagination is a purified fundamental psychological function.

Abstract

Narasi selalu ada menyertai kehidupan masyarakat, membentuk gambaran mengenai banyak hal tentang mereka. Narasi dapat menggambarkan bagaimana pikiran, harapan dan prilaku masyarakat, langsung atau tidak langsung. Narasi yang ditampilkan melalui bahasa memiliki kekuatan lebih untuk memvisualisasi kekayaan budaya penggunanya. Kehadiran istilah tertentu dalam bahasa masyarakat tertentu menunjukkan kekayaan penggunanya. Oleh karena itu, bahasa sering dilihat sebagai jendela untuk melihat sesuatu yang terdapat dalam komunitas pengguna.Tulisan ini dimaksudkan untuk melihat bagaimana narasi melalui kehadiran istilah tertentu pada suku Kebahan, Melawi, yang terkait resolusi konflik. Data yang diperoleh melalui wawancara dan dokumentasi di Nanga Pinoh dan sekitarnya, pada Oktober 2017, menunjukkan bahwa penutur Kebahan memiliki istilah dan narasi tentang hidup rukun. Konsep Kebahan Penyelopat, ngawa’, kritik Kerampak Kebahan, dan lain-lain, merupakan contoh bagaimana mereka mengingatkan diri tentang peran dan kedudukan mereka sebagai penyeimbang dalam masyarakat majemuk. Posisi ini terus dikukuhkan melalui pengukuhan identitas Kebahan dan penanaman kesadaran bahwa Kebahan dapat merangkul orang yang berbeda agama (Islam dan Katolik) karena mereka dapat "masuk" ke dalam suku-suku tersebut.
