Abstract

This research aimed at improving the mathematically representation skill of class A semester IV students of mathematics education study program Muhammadiyah Purwokerto University in academic year 2013/2014 in Transformation Geometri subject using Geogebra Program media. This research belongs to action research consisting of planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. The data analysis used was quantitative and qualitative descriptive analysis. The research showed that in the first cycle, the number of students who got the minimal score 75 was 29 students of 40 who were present or 72,5% of the present students whereas, in the second cycle the students who got the minimal score 75 were 33 of 38 who were present or 86,84%. This result shows that the learning process using Geogebra media succeeded to improve the students mathematically representation skill. Abstract

This Research is depended on the students study results are lower in Set Subject, those are caused by their small knowledge level.  In this research is conducted to develop interactive computer base learning media especially in set topic. The goal of this learning media development is to assist the student in comprehending in set topic, because this media provides some interactive menus that facilitate the students to use it.  This research uses literature study method about how to compile the computer base learning media and set topic. The stages of this research are analyzing set books, designing the model of computer base learning media, and compiling the computer program. Result of this research is a learning media in the form of interactive computer program which can be used by students as an assist tool to learn the set topic. This media is consisted of two main parts, they are theory and problem practice. At the theory part, students can learn the theory of set, while at problem practice part students can exercise to do the practice problem about set. At this part is also provided with scoring, that is if answer given by real correct student, hence media will give the score and correct signal. This matter can be used to know whether students have mastered the set topic or not yet. Thereby, it is expected a student will continue to exercise the practice problem till reaches the optimum understanding level.

Abstract

Latar belakang masalah pada penelitian ini adalah di sebabkan oleh rendahnya hasil belajar IPA pada siswa kelas IV SD Negeri 1 Ngadirojo. Tujuaan di lakukannya penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar IPA mel;alui model Problem Based Learning (PBL). Jenis penelitian ini adalah menggunakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan menggunakan langkah-langkah berupa perencanaan , pelaksanaan, pengamatan dan refleksi. Pada peneelitian ini di laksanakan selama dua siklus. Siklus yang pertama di laksanakan pada tanggal 22 Mei 2023 dan siklus kedua di laksanakan pada tanggal 29 Mei 2023. Penelitian ini di laksanakan di .kelas IV SD Negeri 1 Ngadirojo dengan jumlah siswa sebanyak 28. Jumlah siswa laki-laki sebanyak 12 siswa dan siswa perempuan sebanyak 16 siswa. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunakan modeel Problem Based Learning (PBL) dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar IPA siswa pada siswa kelas IV SD Negeri 1 Ngadirojo. Rata-rata nilai siswa materi gaya pada kondisi di tahap awal (pra siklus) 69% dengan ketuntasan klasikal sebesar 40% (8 siswa) dari 28 siswa yang mencapai nilailebih dari 75(nilai KKM). Siklus pertama sebesar 74 dengan ketuntasan klasikal sebesar 60% (12 siswa) yang mencaapai nilai lebih dari 75(nilai KKM). Siklus kedua sebesar 81 % dengan seketuntasan klasikal sebanyak 80 % (16 siswwa) yang mencapai nilai lebih dari 60 (nilai KKM).

Abstract

Banyumas and Pekalongan batik are local cultural heritages of Central Java that contain philosophical values, regional identity, and geometric patterns. Although batik has been widely known as a uniform, its use as a medium for learning mathematics, especially transformation geometry, is still limited. This study aims to examine the relationship between Banyumas and Pekalongan batik motifs with the concept of transformation geometry and the cultural values ​​contained. A qualitative approach with ethnographic methods was used through observation, documentation, in-depth interviews, and field notes. The subjects of the study included cultural figures, batik craftsmen, and tour guides at the Anto Jamil Batik Center (Banyumas) and the Pekalongan Batik Museum. The study focused on the Jahe Srimpang and Babon Angrem motifs (Banyumas), as well as Jlamprang Gunungan and Jlamprang Seamless (Pekalongan). The results showed that these motifs contain elements of geometric transformation such as translation, rotation, symmetry, reflection, and dilation. This study recommends the use of batik as a source of mathematics learning based on local wisdom.
