Abstract

Sungai Langkapa merupakan sumber air baku yang digunakan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan air bersih untuk penduduk Kabupaten Bombana. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dan menetapkan status mutu air Sungai Langkapa  sebagai sumber air baku Perusahaan Daerah Air Minum (PDAM) Kabupaten Bombana. Metode yang digunakan yaitu (1) analisis indeks pencemaran. Hasil penelitian ini yaitu pada stasiun I diperoleh nilai indeks pencemaran sebesar 3,01, stasiun II sebesar 2,97 dan pada stasiun III sebesar 2,75. Beberapa parameter yang tidak memenuhi baku mutu kelas 1 yaitu DO dan BOD. Sehingga status mutu air Sungai Langkapa masuk klasifikasi cemar ringan. Kata Kunci ; Air, Sungai, Pencematan

Abstract

ABSTRACT Slum areas are always a concern because of the quality of the environment that is not healthy. The method used is descriptive analysis and quantitative analysis. The results of this research are the existing conditions of slum areas in Boepinang Bajo Barat and Bajo Timur, namely: (1) the area of the slum area reaches 10.32 hectares with (a) the area of the West Bajo slum area is 4 Ha; (b) the area of the slum area of East Bajo is 6.32 Ha. Slum areas in Boepinang (East Bajo) and West Boepinang (West Bajo) Villages are included in priority scale one (1). Need attention in settlement management.Keywords ; West Bajo, East Bajo, Slum, SettlementsABSTRAK Permukiman kumuh selalu menjadi perhatian karena dari segi kualitas lingkungan yang tidak sehat. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui kondisi eksisting Kawasan Kumuh Boepinang Kumuh Bajo Barat dan Bajo Timur dan untuk mengidentifikasi klasifikasi tingkat kekumuhan di Kawasan Kumuh Boepinang Kumuh Bajo Barat dan Bajo Timur. Metode yang digunakan yaitu analisis deskriptif dan analisis kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian ini yaitu Kondisi eksisting Kawasan kumuh di Boepinang Bajo Barat dan Bajo Timur sebagao berikut : (1) luas kawasan kumuh mencapai 10,32 Ha dengan (a) luas Kawasan kumuh Bajo Barat 4 Ha; (b) luas Kawasan kumuh Bajo Timur 6,32 Ha. Abstract

Study on photodegradation of diazinon pesticide in suspension of TiO2 under ultra violet (UV) illumination was conducted. The aims of study are to determine the effective mass of titanium dioxide (TiO2), the effect of catalyst in initial concentration, the half time, the rate constant, and the rate of degradation reaction. Experimental photocatalytic reactor model was designed and constructed as suspension reactor. Determination of the effective mass of TiO2, the concentration of diazinon residu was performed by HPLC . The concentrations of illuminated diazinon solution were colected as various effective mass of TiO2 and expressed as the concentration vs the mass of TiO2. The mass of TiO2 in minimum diazinon concentration was a the effective mass. The concentration of illuminated diazinon and illumination time relationships was expressed in the graph as ln C/C0 = - k t and regarded as a pseudo first-order. The half time, the rate constant, and the degradation rate was analyzed from the graph. The results show that the photocatalytic degradation of pesticide diazinon by using TiO2 under UV illumination was run effectively in the mass of 12.5 mg for the diazinon concentration of 25 mg/l. The decreasing of initial concentration of diazinon is 90.4 % in 120 minutes. The half time, the rate constant, and the degradation rate are 36,869 minute, 0.0188 /minute, and 0,470 mg/l minute, respectively. Keywords : Kinetic, degradation, diazinon, TiO2

Abstract

ABSTRACTScheduled Sludge Service (SSS) is a program designed by the government to manage fecal waste so as to create proper sanitation conditions for the community. Baubau City has the opportunity to implement a SSS, because since 2011 the Wakonti Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) has been built with a capacity of 40 m3/day. This study was aimed at analyzing the feasibility of SSS program and its implementation strategy in Baubau City. The research was conducted by analyzing the potential of the research city such as regional data, sanitation conditions, conditions of desludging services, sewage treatment, the agencies involved, policies and regulations as well as implementation procedures and aspects of scheduled sewage services such as operating patterns, customers, infrastructure, institutions. , procedures, finances and regulations. The results of the gap analysis show that Baubau City is feasible to implement the LLTT program. However, it should be noted to the Baubau City government to follow up on deficiencies such as operating patterns, procedures and related rules to maximize this program. Based on the results of the SWOT analysis, seven strategies were produced that can support the implementation of LLTT in Baubau City including: 1) Agreeing on service principles, 2) Accelerating the ratification of the Regional Regulation on LLTT, 3) Determining service zones, desludging patterns and desludging periods, 4) Increasing access to water services waste, 5) Forming a regional technical implementing unit, 6) Increasing funding allocation, and 7) Maximizing the active role of the government.Keywords: Baubau City, SSS, Wakonti STP, SWOT AnalysisABSTRAKLayanan lumpur tinja terjadwal (LLTT) merupakan program yang dirancang pemerintah untuk mengelolah limbah tinja sehingga menciptakan kondisi sanitasi yang layak bagi masyarakat. Kota Baubau memiliki peluang untuk mengimplementasikan kegiatan LLTT, karena sejak tahun 2011 telah dibangun fasilias Instalasi Pengolahan Lumpur Tinja (IPLT) Wakonti dengan kapasitas 40 m3/hari. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kelayakan program LLTT dan strategi implementasinya di Kota Baubau. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menganalisis potensi kota penelitian seperti data wilayah, kondisi sanitasi, kondisi layanan sedot tinja, pengolahan lumpur tinja, instansi yang terlibat, kebijakan dan peraturan serta prosedur pelaksanaan dan aspek-aspek layanan lumpur tinja terjadwal seperti pola operasi, pelanggan, infrastruktur, kelembagaan, prosedur, finansial dan aturan. Hasil analisis gap/kesenjangan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Kota Baubau layak untuk mengimplementasikan program LLTT. Namun, perlu menjadi catatan kepada pemerintah Kota Baubau untuk menindaklanjuti kekurangan-kekurangan seperti pola operasi, prosedur dan aturan yang terkait untuk memaksimalkan program ini. Berdasarkan hasil analisis SWOT, dihasilkan tujuh strategi yang dapat mendukung implementasi LLTT di Kota Baubau diantaranya: 1) Menyepakati prinsip layanan, 2) Mempercepat pengesahan Perda tentang LLTT, 3) Menentukkan zona pelayanan, pola penyedotan dan periode penyedotan, 4) Meningkatkan akses layanan air limbah, 5) Membentuk unit pelaksana teknis daerah, 6) Meningkatkan alokasi pendanaan, dan 7) Memaksimalkan peran aktif pemerintah.Kata Kunci: Kota Baubau, LLTT, IPLT Wakonti, Analisis SWOT

Abstract

The effort of copper nanoparticle exploration for antibacterial cleaning agents needs to prevent infection or contamination of microorganisms such as bacteria and viruses due to its potential characteristic as an environmentally benign material. The synthesis of copper nanoparticles using 0.02 M Cu(NO3)2 as a precursor and red dragon fruit extract as a bioreduction agent has been conducted. The extraction process of red dragon fruit was done by the maceration method using methanol as solvent. Copper nanoparticles were prepared through green chemistry with the reduction method. The compound in red dragon fruit extract reduced Cu2+ to Cu. The experimental nanoparticle synthesis method was performed with a combination of red dragon fruit extract and Cu(NO3)2 solution mixed with a volume ratio of bioreductor extract toward Cu2+ precursor variation of 1:1, 1:2, 1:3, 1:4, 1:5, 1:6, 1:7, 1:8, and 1:9. The mixtures were stirred using a magnetic stirrer for 30 minutes and then incubated. The samples were characterized using UV-Vis (Ultraviolet-Visible), FTIR (Fourier Transform Infrared), and a digital microscope to observe morphology. The observation continued to assess its antibacterial activity and potency as an active disinfectant. UV-Vis analysis showed that the absorbance value for 30 minutes tended to be stable. Particle size estimation showed the smallest size of 122.12 nm at a volume ratio of 1:9. Functional group analysis using FTIR showed a shift in wavenumber between dragon fruit extract and copper nanoparticle (CuNPs), indicating a functional group interaction. The results of morphological analysis using a digital microscope showed that the particles with fine powder granules were produced with the composition of fruit extract: Cu(NO3)2 of 1:9. Antibacterial activity against Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli indicated that the composition of Cu-nanoparticles of 1:9 had given an inhibition value.

Abstract

Access to clean water and energy independence, which are part of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), are still the main problems faced by the Pesantren Al-Munawwarah. Therefore, the Pesantren, in collaboration with the Green Society Partnership (GSP) team, which is part of the Community Partnership Program, has built a clean water treatment system integrated with solar photovoltaic (PV).  This paper aims to describe the community partnership program by improving the capacity building of Pesantren Al-Munawwarah residents to ensure sustainable management of the established water treatment facility. The capacity building method is delivered in the form of knowledge and skills transfer to the residents of Pesantren Al Munawwarah, i.e.: (1) Focus Group Discussion (FGD), which is carried out before project commissioning; (2) Training on its operation and maintenance, carried out after project commissioning; (3) Providing tutorial video on the operation and maintenance of the clean water treatment system integrated with solar PV.  Based on the evaluation results, most trainees experienced increased knowledge and skills in managing the clean water treatment system integrated with solar PV. In addition, the trainees are satisfied with the capacity-building program implemented and hope that mentoring activities like this will continue to be carried out. --- Akses terhadap air bersih dan kemandirian energi yang merupakan bagian dari Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), masih menjadi masalah utama yang dihadapi oleh Pesantren Al-Munawwarah. Oleh karena itu, pihak Pesantren bekerja sama dengan Tim Green Society Partnership (GSP) yang merupakan bagian dari Program Kemitraan Masyarakat (PKM) telah membangun sistem pengolahan air bersih yang terintegrasi Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Surya (PLTS). Paper ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan program Kemitraan masyarakat berupa peningkatan kapasitas warga Pondok Pesantren Al-Munawwarah untuk menjamin keberlangsungan pengelolaan fasilitas pengolahan air tersebut. Metode peningkatan kapasitas ini berupa transfer pengetahuan dan keterampilan kepada warga Pesantren Al Munawwarah, yaitu: (1) Focus Group Discussion (FGD) yang dilaksanakan sebelum project commissioning; (2) Pelatihan tentang operasi dan pemeliharaannya yang dilaksanakan setelah project commissioning; (3) Penyediaan video tutorial tentang pengoperasian dan pemeliharaan Sistem Pengelolaan Air Bersih terintegrasi PLTS. Berdasarkan hasil evaluasi, mayoritas peserta mengalami peningkatan pengetahuan serta keterampilan terkait pengelolaan fasilitas pengolahan air tersebut. Selain itu, peserta pelatihan puas dengan program peningkatan kapasitas yang dilaksanakan dan berharap kegiatan pendampingan seperti ini akan terus dilakukan.
