Abstract

This study deals with an analysis on students’ errors in writing Decsriptive text. The objectives of this study were  to find out the kinds of error made by students in writing descriptive text, and to find out the most dominant kinds of error made by students in writing descriptive text. This study was conducted at SMP SWASTA BUDI SETIA SUNGGAL with the number of population was 175 students of eight grade students. They were into five classes. By using random sampling was conducted to take the sample of research. The total sample was 35 students of eight grade students. Written test as the instrument was used in this research. The method of the research was descriptive quantitative method. The research of this study is only one week. The result of the test showed that there were four types of error in writing. They were omission, addition, misformation and misordering. The dominant types of error in writing descriptive text was omission with 86 or 43% error, then misformation with 45 or 22.5%. Next misordering error with 39 or 19.5%. And the last addition error with 30 or 15%. The cause of error found in students” writing text, they were intralingual interference, interlingual interference and carelessness.Key Word :Error Analysis,Writing,Descriptive Text,

Abstract

  Abstract This study aims to examine the effectiveness of various methods used in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning and its implications for improving students' understanding, attitudes, and religious practices. Through a qualitative approach with library research methods, data were collected from various literatures, such as books, scientific journals, articles, and relevant previous research results. The results of the study indicate that there is no one method that is absolutely the most effective, but rather effectiveness depends on the suitability of the method to the learning objectives, characteristics of students, teaching materials, and the context of the learning environment. The lecture method is effective for delivering conceptual information, while discussion and case study methods encourage more active involvement and critical thinking. Contextual and role-playing methods have been proven to be able to increase the internalization of religious values ​​in the real lives of students. Thus, the success of PAI learning is largely determined by the teacher's ability to choose, combine, and implement the right methods creatively and adaptively. This study is expected to be a reference in developing more effective and meaningful PAI learning strategies. Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji efektivitas berbagai metode yang digunakan dalam pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) serta implikasinya terhadap peningkatan pemahaman, sikap, dan praktik keagamaan peserta didik. Melalui pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode penelitian kepustakaan (library research), data dikumpulkan dari berbagai literatur, seperti buku, jurnal ilmiah, artikel, dan hasil penelitian terdahulu yang relevan. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa tidak ada satu metode yang paling efektif secara mutlak, melainkan efektivitas bergantung pada kesesuaian metode dengan tujuan pembelajaran, karakteristik peserta didik, materi ajar, dan konteks lingkungan belajar. Metode ceramah efektif untuk penyampaian informasi konseptual, sedangkan metode diskusi dan studi kasus lebih mendorong keterlibatan aktif dan berpikir kritis. Metode kontekstual dan role playing terbukti mampu meningkatkan internalisasi nilai-nilai agama dalam kehidupan nyata peserta didik. Dengan demikian, keberhasilan pembelajaran PAI sangat ditentukan oleh kemampuan guru dalam memilih, mengkombinasikan, dan mengimplementasikan metode yang tepat secara kreatif dan adaptif. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi rujukan dalam pengembangan strategi pembelajaran PAI yang lebih efektif dan bermakna.
