Abstract

The purpose of this study was to improve short-distance running learning outcomes using traditional games. This study uses a quantitative approach with this research method is a pre-experimental design study using One-Group Pretest- posttest design. This study was conducted at SMP Negeri 2 Telukjambe Barat. The population of this study were students of class VII of SMP Negeri 2 Telukjambe Barat. The sample in this study was taken using the cluster random sampling technique, the sample was students of class VII-A of SMP Negeri 2 Telukjambe Barat. The research instruments include cognitive, affective and skills. To determine the effect of traditional games on learning outcomes of 100-meter short-distance running, data analysis to see the effect using hypothesis testing. The results of this study are an average pretest of 156.82 and a posttest of 264.69. The results of the paired sample test analysis with the data obtained from this study are an increased value (2-tailed) = 0.000 less than the increased level (α) = 0.05, so H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. It can be concluded that traditional games can have an effect on improving the learning outcomes of 100- meter short-distance running for grade VII students at SMP Negeri 2 Telukjambe Barat.

Abstract

This study comprehensively analyzes the physical fitness requirements for work readiness among students at SMK Taruna Karya Mandiri. Work readiness is a critical factor for vocational high school graduates, and physical fitness plays a significant role in enhancing work performance, productivity, and reducing the risk of occupational injuries. Employing a descriptive quantitative research method with a survey approach, supplemented by in-depth interviews, the study gathered data from physical fitness tests administered to students and qualitative insights from key stakeholders including sports teachers, curriculum teachers, industrial relations teachers, and corporate HR representatives. Quantitative results indicate that the distribution of physical fitness levels among students is as follows: 2.00% in "Very Good" category, 21.00% in "Good", 53.33% in "Sufficient", and 23.67% in "Less". This highlights that while a foundational level is met by most, significant improvement is needed, particularly for those in the "Less" category. Qualitative findings from interviews consistently underscore that optimal physical condition is paramount for sustained performance in both academic and professional environments. It is perceived as a primary determinant of readiness and competitiveness in the labor market. This research aims to provide a robust foundation for developing more tailored curricula and training programs that enhance students' physical fitness, thereby bolstering their overall work readiness and alignment with industrial demands

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Problem Based Learning model in breaststroke swimming learning for students at SMKN 1 Rengasdengklok. This study uses an experimental method with a quantitative approach. The research design used is Pre-Experimental Design with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The research sample was selected using a systematic sampling technique. The instrument used was a breaststroke swimming ability test given before and after treatment. The pretest results showed an average value of 42.11, while the posttest results increased to 62,62. Hypothesis testing was carried out using a paired sample t-test, and a significance value (2-tailed) of 0.001 < 0.05. (Ho) is rejected and (Ha) is accepted. These results indicate that the Problem Based Learning model has a significant effect on improving students' breaststroke swimming ability.

Abstract

This research is a quantitative study. The purpose of this research is to determine the impact of volleyball learning on the character formation of students and to ascertain the effectiveness of character formation through volleyball learning. This study employs an experimental method. The research was conducted at SMA Negeri 1 TelukJambe. The population of this research consists of the tenth-grade students of SMA Negeri 1 TelukJambe, totaling 358 students. The sample used in this study is Simple Random Sampling, comprising 5 individuals per class. The research design used is a one-group pretest-posttest design. The research instrument utilized a questionnaire on the character formation of students. The results of this research show significant outcomes in the average results before and after the treatment.The average pretest score was 173.80 and the average posttest score was 182.78, indicating a significant increase. Meanwhile, the results of the hypothesis testing using the paired sample T-test with data obtained from the study showed a significance value(2-tailed) of 0.000 < 0.05, meaning there is a significant effect between the average scores before and after the treatment. It can be concluded that volleyball learning can influence the character formation of 10th-grade students at SMA Negeri 1 TelukJambe.
