Abstract

Kondisi darurat dapat mengancam keselamatan jiwa setiap saat, misalnya kebakaran, gempa bumi, kerusuhan, dan sebagainya. Struktur bangunan yang didesain dengan berbagai antisipasi bencana atau kondisi kondisi darurat serta sarana penyelamatan diri dalam kondisi darurat belum menjamin keselamatan jiwa pengunjung. Fasilitas yang tersedia untuk mengantisipasi kondisi darurat belum sepenuhnya berfungsi secara optimal karena belum tersedianya system informasi yang memadai tentang strategi penyelamatan diri. Informasi yang diberikan hanya bersifat teknis dan managerial sehingga penyelamatan diri pengunjung dalam berbagai peristiwa kerusuhan, kebakaran,dan gempa bumi beberapa waktu yang lalu masih banyak menelan korban jiwa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimental dengan menggunakan desain factorial. Desain ini dipilih karena terdapat empat kelompok yang mendapat perlakuan yang berbeda.Populasi penelitian adalah mahasiswa / mahasiswi yang ada di Kota Malang.Sampel penelitian adalah bagian dari populasi yang diselidiki (Hadi, 1993). Sampel penelitian yang akan digunakan adalah mahasiswa Universitas Islam Negeri (UIN) Maliki Malang sebanyak 52 orang yang diambil secara random. Berdasarkan temuan dilapangan tidak ada perbedaan upaya penyelamatan diri ditinjau dari keberdaan sarana navigasi kognitif dan self efficacy. Tidak terdapat perbedaan upaya penyelamatan diri dalam kondisi darurat di gedung bertingkat ditinjau dari keberdaan sarana navigasi kognitif. Hal ini tidak terbukti sesuai dengan hasil analisis menunjukkan F = 0.306 sing = 0.503 .Tidak terdapat perbedaan upaya penyelamatan diri dalam kondisi darurat di gedung bertingkat ditinjau dari Self Efficacy. Hal ini tidak terbukti sesuai dengan hasil analisis menunjukkan F = 1.916 sing = 0.172

Abstract

Human being is the best and excellent creature. Human does not only have potency of rational intelligence but also emotional and spiritual intelligence. In fact, the emotional and spiritual intelligence are so central in someone achievement. Cause, the level of those two intelligences is on top of rational intelligence. Nevertheless, these two matters is not yet studied and developed comprehensively.In consequence, to increase quality of education forwards, institute of education has to able to develop potencies of those two intelligences, not merely rational intelligence.Keywords: IQ, EQ, SQ and Quality of Education

Abstract

Islamic leaders employ a range of leadership styles, from transformational to charismatic styles. In response to environmental changes, society has begun to reject various styles because of the demonstration of some of each style's faults. This study aimed at introducing an Islamic universal values-based leadership power (IUVLP) style that involves four leaders at UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang. Data were collected using interviews, observation, and documentation. Data were analyzed using qualitative analysis descriptive. The results show that there is a significant difference in IUVLP practices according to understanding, appreciation, and experience. However, there exists a significant relationship between IUVLP and Leaders' working experience. For the Leader’s practice priority, the research has found that community-based leaders are the most commonly practiced IUVLP dimension of Islamic Leadership. It is followed by the demonstration of fairness, sincerity, respect, and serving others. The major implication is that experienced Leaders frequently practiced IUVLP compared to less experienced Leaders. Hence, the selection of Leaders should be based on their achievement, not seniority in the Islamic higher education service.

Abstract

This research explores the existential role of Ūlul Al-bāb's universal values in improving work ethic, achievement motivation, and performance at UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang. Using quantitative methods and Partial Least Square-Sequential Equation Model (PLS-SEM) analysis, this research examines the relationship between variables, emphasizing the mediating role of work ethic. Two hundred respondents were selected from a population of 506 permanent lecturers. The research results show a positive and significant relationship between Ūlul Al-bāb values and both work ethic and performance, which confirms that internalization of objective, moderate, and transcendental principles can improve the performance of lecturers within the institution. However, the direct relationship between Ūlul Al-bāb values and achievement motivation was found to be insignificant. This research also proves that work ethic emerges as an important mediator, linking Ūlul Al-bāb values to both achievement motivation and performance. These findings confirm the importance of translating Ūlul Al-bāb values into performance improvements. The practical implications of these findings are significant for human resource management in higher education.
