Abstract

This research paper discusses about the perspective of M. Natsir on state conception. He was chosen as a figure in this study since he is well known not only as an initiator of Islamic and state conception but also as a main actor in implementing his ideas. This paper summarizes that Islam and a state has an integrally related symbiosis. Religion needs a state, and vice versa. Based on Natsir, Islam is a complete school that contains not only worship but also some aspects such as the field of state. Thus, the establishment of a state is a blessing. Nevertheless, the state is only an instrument, not an objective. On that basis, a head of a country does not need to be titled as a kholifah, but  a president or the others. The important thing is that his characteristics and obligations are in accordance with Islamic values. Seen from his argument construction in some ways, Natsir follows the ideas of Ibn Taimiyah with regard to the urgency of state inevitability. He is also in line with Ibn Khaldun who compares society with the state. Overall, his perspective is influenced by the political perspectives of not only classical Muslims such as al-Mawardi and al-Ahkam al-Sulthaniyya, but also modern Muslims such as al-Maududi and al-Afgani.

Abstract

This study aims to describe how the transformation of baby swings in Ogan Ilir, especially in Ridho Residence Indralaya Housing. The type of research used is ethnography with a qualitative descriptive approach. This study describes or explores information based on practical experience and ethnoparenting values. The transformation of the baby swing in the Ridho Residence Indralaya housing has undergone several changes, both in terms of shape and material, as well as changes from a more modern implementation aspect with the addition of various applications on the swing. Based on the findings in the field, there are still a few parents who use electric and electric swings because the prices are quite expensive. Meanwhile, the social status of parents at Ridho Residence Indralaya is still classified as lower middle class.

Abstract

In the Malay world, mosque-based economic empowerment has grown in popularity, with Indonesia and Malaysia dominating the presentation of documents on the mosque economy. The purpose of this study was to conduct a literature review on the economic empowerment of mosques in the Malay world and its relationship to civilization. On the basis of keywords pertinent to the economic empowerment of mosques in the Malay world, scholarly articles indexed by Scopus and Google Scholar were reviewed. Using techniques of content analysis, 44 relevant articles were gathered and analyzed. The results indicated that mosque-based economic empowerment programs have increased in Indonesia, Malaysia, and Singapore, but not in Southern Thailand, Brunei Darussalam, or the Philippines, where mosques continue to be centers of religious activity. Mosque-based economic empowerment is consistent with Ibn Khaldun's Asabiyah concept, in which the mosque serves as a social organization for Muslims in Malay countries. In some countries, mosque-based economic empowerment has reached a spiritual and rational stage, according to Malik Bennabi. This study can be used as a resource by administrators of mosques and Islamic organizations in the Malay world region to promote economic empowerment to strengthen social cohesion and the Asabiyah of the Malay Muslim community.

Abstract

This article discusses the dynamics of the spice trade that occurred on the east coast of Sumatra, to be precise in the areas of Singapore and Palembang in the 19th century. The spice trade on the east coast of Sumatra in the 19th century was inseparable from the involvement of many nations in the spice commodity produced in the archipelago. In addition, this article also aims to analyze the impact of the spice trade on the formation of inter-ethnic networks. This study uses historical research methods, starting from heuristics, source criticism, interpretation and writing of history.  Analysis of the results of research using the Islamic Maritime Civilization approach by K.N Chaudhuri and the Trade Network approach by J.C Van Leur, these two theories argue that maritime civilization is inseparable from the influence of agrarian civilization which has an impact on the formation of a network. The results of this study are; first, in the 19th century, Singapore and Palembang were areas that still existed as a place for the spice trade, and these two areas were not only a place for trade interactions, but also a spice producer. Second, the spice trade in this century has also formed networks between nations and ethnicities, such as local networks involving ethnic groups in Nusantara and international networks involving various ethnic groups and ethnic groups in the world.Keywords: Trade Network, Maritime Civilization, East Coast Of Sumatra, Spice.Artikel ini membahas dinamika perdagangan rempah yang terjadi di pantai timur Sumatera, tepatnya di wilayah Singapura dan Palembang pada abad ke-19. Perdagangan rempah di pantai timur Sumatera pada abad ke-19 tidak terlepas dari keterlibatan banyak bangsa terhadap komuditas rempah yang dihasilkan di wilayah Nusantara. Selain itu, artikel ini juga bertujuan untuk menganalisis dampak dari perdagangan rempah terhadap terbentuknya jaringan jaringan antar suku bangsa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian sejarah, yang dimulai dari heuristik, kritik sumber, interpretasi dan penulisan sejarah. Hasil penelitian kemudian dianalisa dengan pendekatan peradaban bahari Islam oleh K.N Chaudhuri serta jaringan perdagangan oleh J.C Van Leur, kedua teori ini berpendapat bahwa peradaban maritim tidak terlepas dari pengaruh peradaban agraris yang berdampak pada terbentuknya sebuah jaringan. Beberapa hasil kajian ini dapat dirumuskan sebagai berikut; pertama, pada abad ke-19, Singapura dan Palembang merupakan kawasan yang masih eksis sebagai tempat terjadinya perdagangan rempah, dan dua daerah ini tidak hanya sebagai tempat terjadinya interaksi perdagangan, tapi juga menjadi penghasil rempah. Kedua, Perdagangan rempah masa ini juga membentuk jaringan antar bangsa dan etnis, seperti jaringan lokal yang melibatkan etnis-etnis di Nusantara serta jaringan internasional yang melibatkan berbagai etnis dan suku bangsa di dunia.Kata Kunci: Jaringan Perdagangan, Peradaban Maritim, Pantai Timur Sumatera, Rempah.

Abstract

This paper is motivated by advances in internet technology in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0 which caused changes in all areas of industry, including the financial services industry. Sharia banking is required to adapt to digital services to meet customer needs so that they change their business model by transforming digitally into digital banks. This type of research is library research with a qualitative descriptive approach that seeks to provide an overview of the civilization and development of Islamic financial institution in Indonesia. The results of this paper explain that the development of digital Islamic financial institutions is growing rapidly, this is a strength possessed by Islamic digital banks which makes it easy to access data that can be accessed via GooglePlay and the App Store. Due to the easy access of Islamic financial institutions digitally, it will be easier for customers to manage their finances, and Islamic financial institutions can enhance partnerships with various parties to develop services that suit customer needs.

Abstract

Pondok pesantren tidak lagi dianggap sebagai pendidikan tradisional tetapi mampu untuk melakukan pendidikan modern yang seimbang antara duniawi dan ukhrawi. Pesantren memiliki potensi besar dalam pengembangan kemandirian ekonomi. Pesantren memiliki potensi besar dalam hal kemandirian ekonomi yaitu: potensi Santri, potensi masyarakat sekitar, dan potensi zakat wakaf. Pondok pesantren al-Ittifaqiah telah menjalankan pendidikan Islam yang seimbang menurut Ibnu Khaldun, bahwa pendidikan tidak hanya didasarkan pada pendidikan formal tetapi membekali santri dengan pendidikan lifeskill kewirausahaan dapat dilihat dari program-program ekstra kurikuler yang dimiliki seperti : pengembangan sofskill : pelatihan seni baca Al-Qur’an dan Marhaban, kursus intensif Bahasa asing, pelatihan khutbah, pidato, pelatihan seni dan olahraga, pendidikan dan praktikum ketrampilan (Komputer, Menjahit, Tenun, Sulam, Sablon, Cetak con blok), pendidikan organisasi, kewirausahaan dan akuntansi. Pendidikan Pers dan Jurnalistik, pelatihan penulisan karya Ilmiah. Kemandirian ekonomi yang dijalankan oleh Pondok pesanten al-Ittifaqiah telah mampu menjadi penopang berdirinya pesantren dengan melakukan berbagai unit usaha yang telah melibatkan berbagai pihak baik santri maupun masyarakat sekitar. Yang dapat dilihat dari kegiatan-kegiatan usaha yang dimiliki seperti : Lembaga ekonomi tersebut adalah Badan usaha Milik yayasan (BUMY), Koperasi, BMT dan beberapa Perusahaan Terbatas (PT) Berdasarkan data yang didapatkan dari website bentuk-bentuk usaha ekonomi yang dimiliki adalah sebagai berikut : Kantin, Warung, Mini market, Toko buku dan ATK, Kebun Sawit 50 Ha, Kebun Karet 5 Ha, Peternakan Ikan, Peternakan sapi 25 ekor, Air Minum Dalam Kemasan, Komposting sampah, Apotik, Guest House, Penerbitan, Percetakan, Media on line, Radio 93 Fm, TV on line “ittifaqiahTV”, Pangkas Rambut, Corn block, Batako, Group Musik, Production House, Warnet, Bakery Ittifaqiah, Pertashop, Air Kemasan “Simaan”, Kebun Cengkeh, Kebun Pisang.
