Abstract

In this paper the using of Nelson Aalen estimators are presented to estimate transition probabilities of multistate model. Based on discrete time Markov, we will get transition matrices  which the elements are transition probabilities from Nelson Aalen estimator. Because of the data that used in the construction of transition matrices are person’s health histories, then it can be seen as a morbidity value, which can be used to premium pricing.  Key words: Markov process, multistate model, Nelson Aalen, transition probability.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan meningkatkan prestasi belajar matematika mahasiswa semester V jurusan pendidikan matematika IKIP PGRI Semarang dengan menggunakan pembelajaran matematika bilingual berbasis konstruktivisme pada mata kuliah program linear. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian Quasy Experimental. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa semester V jurusan pendidikan matematika IKIP PGRI Semarang yang terdiri dari sembilan kelas. Dengan teknik random sampling dipilih dua kelas, kelas 5 RSBI sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas 5 G sebagai kelas kontrol. Variabel penelitian dalam penelitian ini yaitu keterampilan proses (X) sebagai variabel bebas dan prestasi belajar (Y) sebagai variabel terikat. Cara pengambilan data dengan observasi dan tes prestasi belajar. Olah data dengan uji banding dan uji pengaruh. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa uji ketuntasan dengan rata-rata 71,36 artinya telah mencapai ketuntasan dan terjadi perbedaan prestasi antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol serta diperoleh variabel keterampilan proses berpengaruh positif terhadap prestasi belajar dengan persamaan regresi  dan pengaruhnya sebesar 19,5 %. Hal tersebut menunjukkan pembelajaran kelas eksperimen mencapai efektif.   Kata Kunci : Bilingual, Konstruktivisme, Efektif, Program Linear

Abstract

ABSTRACT. The specific purpose of this study is to determine the profile of visual representation of students in geometry courses. This research is a qualitative research. The data collection method is done through documentation, observation, learning achievement tests and questionnaires. The results showed that the ability of visual representation of 1st semester students at mathematics education was still low. This is reviewed in the student's ability to answer learning achievement test at geometry courses.Keywords: learning achievement ,visual representation, geometry. ABSTRAK. Tujuan khusus penelitian ini adalah mengetahui profile representasi visual mahasiswa pada mata kuliah Geometri. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif. Metode pengambilan data dilakukan melalui dokumentasi, observasi, tes hasil belajar dan angket. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan representasi visual mahasiswa semester 1 program studi pendidikan matematika masih rendah. Hal tersebut ditinjau pada kemampuan mahasiswa untuk menjawab soal tes hasil belajar mata kuliah Geometri. Kata Kunci: Hasil Belajar, Representasi Visual, Geometri.

Abstract

ABSTRACT. One of the external obstacles of students is the learning media used by teachers. Learning achievement will be more developed if students actively participate in learning activities. This study aims to improve mathematics learning achievement at line material. The methodology used in this study is an experimental research methodology. The subjects of this study were 7th class students of SMP Negeri 2 Limpung with class VII A as the experimental group and class VII B as the control group. The results showed that the mathematics learning model assisted by Geogebra at line material is effective to be used, this was seen from the completeness of learning outcomes, the influence of reasoning and communication skills to learning achievement with a regression equation Y= 36,203 + 0,591X and a coefficient of determination is 68.7%. Mathematical learning strategies by Geogebra are also better than learning mathematics without Geogebra. Thus Geogebra-assisted learning on line material can be used as an alternative method of learning in order to add the variety of teaching methods in an effort to train students' reasoning and communication skills and increase student learning outcomes..Keywords: effectiveness, Geogebra, experiment. ABSTRAK. Salah satu hambatan luar dari diri siswa adalah media pembelajaran yang digunakan oleh pengajar. Prestasi belajar akan lebih berkembang apabila siswa ikut serta secara aktif dalam aktivitas belajar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan prestasi belajar matematika pada materi garis. Metodologi yang dipakai dalam penelitian ini adalah metodologi penelitian eksperimen. Subyek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 2 Limpung dengan kelas VII A sebagai kelompok eksperimen dan kelas VII B sebagai kelompok kontrol. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran matematika berbantuan Geogebra pada materi garis efektif untuk digunakan, hal ini terlihat dari ketuntasan hasil belajar, adanya pengaruh keterampilan penalaran dan komunikasi terhadap prestasi belajar dengan persamaan regresi Y= 36,203 + 0,591X dan koefisien determinasi 68,7%. Strategi pembelajaran matematika dengan bantuan Geogebra juga lebih baik dibandingkan pembelajaran matematika tanpa Geogebra. Dengan demikian pembelajaran berbantuan Geogebra pada materi garis dapat dijadikan suatu metode alternatif dalam pembelajaran guna menambah variasi metode mengajar dalam upaya melatih keterampilan penalaran dan komunikasi siswa dan meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa.Kata Kunci: keefektifan, Geogebra, eksperimen.

Abstract

ABSTRACT. This article discusses some properties of regular semigroups. These properties are especially concerned with the relation of the regular semigroups to groups, idempoten semigroups and invers semigroups. This article also discusses the Cartesian product of two regular semigroups where it is concluded that the Cartesian product of two regular semigroups is a regular semigroup, a group must be a regular semigroup. In addition, idempotent semigroups and inverse semigroups are also regular semigroups.Keywords: idempoten semigroup, inverse semigroup, regular semigroup, Cartesian product ABSTRAK. Artikel ini membahas tentang sifat-sifat semigrup reguler. Sifat-sifat ini khususnya berkenaan dengan keterkaitan semigrup reguler dengan grup, semigrup idempoten, dan semigrup invers. Pada artikel ini juga dibahas mengenai hasil kali Cartesius dari dua semigrup regular dimana diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa hasil kali Cartesius dua semigrup reguler merupakan semigrup reguler, suatu grup pasti merupakan semigrup regular. Selain itu, semigrup idempoten dan semigrup invers juga merupakan semigrup regular.Kata kunci: semigrup idempoten, semigrup invers, semigrup reguler, hasil kali kartesius.

Abstract

Every child is born, grows and develops with their own potential and uniqueness. Playing is an important part of a child's learning and development. However, in reality, lately children play games using gadgets more often than studying or playing outside with friends of the same age. Children prefer simple, practical things to entertain themselves and have fun, just sitting comfortably holding their gadgets all day long having fun. This is what makes educational games and activities very important both at school and at home. From this background, the PKM Team carried out the Introduction to Geometry Concepts with Tangram at RA Masyitoh 04 Sokaraja. This activity aims to build geometric thinking from an early age through the Tangram educational game tool in the hope that it can help them when learning geometry at the next level and of course it is expected to reduce dependence on playing games with gadgets. Tangram is an ancient Chinese puzzle that can be used to build geometric reasoning and fine motor skills. The method of implementing PKM activities is: (1) Tangram concept training; (2) Tangram Making Workshop; (3) Tangram Contest. This Community Service activity shows that early childhood children have actually begun to learn about shapes, space, and basic geometric concepts. They use geometric thinking when playing building with blocks, arranging floor puzzles, or playing target games. Thus, children need a variety of educational games so that they can reduce the frequency of playing games using gadgets. Key words: gadget, tangram, geometry

Abstract

Pada penelitian ini dibahas grup permutasi pada pola batik Banyumas. Identifikasi permutasi dilakukan dengan menyelidiki simetri rotasi dan refleksi pada pola batik Banyumas. Selanjutnya diselidiki bahwa sistem matematika dari himpunan semua permutasi setiap pola batik Banyumas yang dilengkapi dengan operasi komposisi membentuk struktur aljabar grup. Hasil yang diperoleh adalah jenis-jenis grup struktur aljabar yang dibentuk oleh pola-pola batik Banyumas. Pola tirta teja membentuk grup siklik C2, pola ayam puger membentuk grup dihedral D4, pola babon angrem dan sida mukti membentuk grup dihedral D2, dan pola jahe serimpang, udan riris, lumbon, sida luhur, sekar jagad, dan gemek setekem membentuk grup identitas. Sementara itu, pola pring sedhapur, serayuan, sekar surya, dan godhong kosong tidak membentuk struktur grup permutasi.

Abstract

Partial differential equations, particularly one-dimensional advection equations, frequently arise in various physics and engineering problems, including heat transfer and fluid flow. This study used the Iteration Variation method to solve the one-dimensional advection equation. The Iteration Variation method was chosen for its advantages in providing a solution that converges quickly without requiring complex linearisation. This study aims to analyse the effectiveness of the Iteration Variation method in producing analytical solutions and compare them with exact solutions for specific cases. The results show that the solutions obtained by the Iteration Variation method are close to the exact solution, with a relatively small error rate. Therefore, this method can be an efficient alternative for solving one-dimensional advection problems. The results of this study demonstrate that the Iteration Variation method can simplify the completion process and provide accurate results in the initial iteration, requiring only four iterations. The form of the solution is visualised using the MAPLE computer program. Although the complexity of the algebra increases with the number of iterations, it can be achieved with the help of the MaPLE program, which allows for the visualisation of the solution both in its algebraic formula and in its graphical representation.
