Abstract

This study aims to reveal three leadership elements of the female leader at Nurul Ummah Putri Islamic Boarding School (PPNU-Pi) by exploring the nature of leadership, the decision-making process, and the leadership style. This study is grounded on qualitative research using a case study approach through interviews, observation, and documentation. This study highlights that nyai as the female leader at PPNU-Pi possesses a firm, caring, intelligent, straightforward, communicative, and optimistic nature of leadership. The decision-making process at PPNU-Pi is conducted in a relatively modern way. It starts with identifying the problem. Then, it will be followed by looking for alternative solutions. After selecting alternatives which are conducted together with the female leader, they will implement the solution. After applying the solution, there is a trial period to see how effective the solution has been implemented. Finally, this study discusses the implementation of female leader leadership in PPNU-Pi, which represents essential characteristics of transformational leadership such as female leader as an ideal influence, inspirational and motivational leader, and intellectual stimulators.

Abstract

This study aims to describe disaster preparedness and trauma healing programs from the context, input, process, and product aspects. The context refers to the appropriateness of the program design, the input to resources in the program, the process to the accomplishment of the program, and the product to impacts and benefits of the program. This study was an evaluation research study. The subjects were 105 teachers from 34 schools in Bantul Regency consisting of art, guidance and counseling, and religion teachers. The data were collected using questionnaires and were analyzed using the content analysis on the training materials and other relevant documents. The results show that the program is relevant to the needs in relation to trauma healing and disaster preparedness. The materials of the training help the participants understand trauma healing and disaster preparedness. According to the participants, the training is effective although the materials need to be synchronized. The trainers have been applying and spreading out the result of the training although only few of them have already developed the materials.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh data yang relatif baru dan lengkap mengenai profil usaha kecil dan menengah di Kabupaten Bantul serta menentukan strategi pengembangan dan pembinaan usaha kecil dan menengah.  Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksploratif dengan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif deskriptif. Penelitian dipusatkan pada 3 Kecamatan di Kabupaten Bantul yaitu Kecamatan Pundong, Bantul dan Sedayu. Di tiga kecamatan tersebut terdapat 1530 Usaha Kecil dan Menengah (UKM) yang dijadikan populasi dalam penelitian ini. Metode pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan stratified proportionate random sampling. Jumlah sampel ditentukan 10% dari seluruh populasi yaitu sebanyak 153 UKM. Teknik pengambilan data dengan menggunakan kuesioner. Data yang terkumpul dianalisis dengan pendekatan SWOT. Masalah utama yang dihadapi UKM adalah produksi dan lingkungan eksternal. Hal ini tampak dari persepsi responden yang cenderung negatif terhadap kemampuan produksi dan tantangan lingkungan eksternal. Sedangkan faktor internal lain seperti pemasaran, SDM dan keuangan dipersepsi sedang. Jika dianalisis dengan menggunakan pendekatan SWOT situasi ini berada dalam Kuadran IV. Strategi yang dapat ditempuh adalah diversifikasi produk dan usaha patungan (joint venture). Berkaca dari hasil penelitian ini, peneliti menyarankan Pemerintah Daerah mengembangkan kegiatan pembinaan UKM yang berorientasi pada produksi dan akses pada lingkungan eksternal untuk melakukan mobilisasi potensi UKM. Selanjutnya, UKM juga diarahkan melakukan diversifikasi dan usaha patungan untuk memperkuat potensi internal

Abstract

Abstract: This study is aimed to investigate the Strategic Map of the Incubator center. The business incubation process can vary from one incubator to another. This research extends the previous works to improve the solution business incubator problems in Indonesia heading their competitive advantages heading to the global market compared to the Taiwan cases. This study investigates the different types of business incubator strategies for Indonesia and Taiwan cases by using quantitative and qualitative with the primary that had been collected through surveys and observations. The Result shows that Chaoyang Business Incubation Center (CBIC) and Business Incubator LPPM UNY have quite different patterns of their strategies. The Business Support Model Represent CBIC is program demand: Entrepreneur-initiated, whereas LPPM one is program supply: Incubator-initiated. The Business Incubator LPPM UNY is likely to be more active than BCIC. However, CBIC seems to promote entrepreneurs more actively rather than Business Incubator LPPM UNY.Keywords: Strategic Map, Incubation Center, Indonesia, Taiwan Peta Strategis Pusat Inkubasi Universitas Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menyelidiki peta strategis dari pusat inkubator. Proses inkubasi bisnis dapat bervariasi dari satu inkubator ke inkubator lainnya. Penelitian ini memperluas karya-karya sebelumnya untuk meningkatkan masalah inkubator bisnis solusi di Indonesia yang mengarah keunggulan kompetitif mereka menuju pasar global dibandingkan dengan kasus Taiwan. Penelitian ini menyelidiki berbagai jenis strategi inkubator bisnis untuk kasus Indonesia dan Taiwan dengan menggunakan kuantitatif dan kualitatif dengan primer yang telah dikumpulkan melalui survei dan observasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Pusat Inkubasi Bisnis Chaoyang (CBIC) dan inkubator bisnis LPPM UNY memiliki pola strategi mereka yang sangat berbeda. Model pendukung bisnis merupakan CBIC adalah permintaan program: wirausaha dimulai, sedangkan LPPM satu adalah pasokan program: inisiasi inkubator. Inkubator bisnis LPPM UNY kemungkinan akan lebih aktif daripada BCIC. Namun, CBIC tampaknya mempromosikan wirausahawan lebih aktif daripada inkubator bisnis LPPM UNY.Kata kunci: Peta Strategis, pusat Inkubator, Indonesia, Taiwan

Abstract

Abstract  The purposes of the study are to analyze: (1) characteristic of strategic partner and change agent roles, talent management and managers performance, (2) influence of strategic partner and change agent roles to talent management and its impact to managers performance. Four hundred hotel managers in Bali were participated in this study by using proportional random sampling. Data were analyzed using descriptive analysis and SEM. The result shows that: (1) strategic partner and change agent role, talent management and managers performance are in enough category, (2) positive and significant effect between strategic partner and change agent roles to talent management and its impact to managers performance. Keywords:Strategic Partner Role, Change Agent Role, Talent Management, Managers Performance.AbstrakTujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis: (1) karakteristik dari mitra strategis dan peran agen perubahan, manajemen bakat dan kinerja manajer, (2) pengaruh mitra strategis dan peran agen perubahan untuk manajemen bakat dan dampaknya terhadap kinerja manajer. Sebanyak empat ratus manajer hotel di Bali berpartisipasi dalam penelitian ini dengan menggunakan proporsional random sampling. Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis deskriptif dan SEM. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kompetensi pedagogik, kompetensi kepribadian, kompetensi  sosial,  dan kompetensi profesional guru IPS SMP di Kabupaten Kebumen berdasarkan penilaian dari asesor dan penilaian diri sendiri. Jenis penelitian ini termasuk penelitian evaluatif. Model evaluasi yang digunakan adalah model evaluasi benchmarking (bangku ukur). Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif deskriptif. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh guru IPS SMP di kabupaten Kebumen. Pemilihan sampel guru IPS dilakukan dengan propotional random sampling sebanyak 134 guru. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis statistik deskriptif dengan persentase. Hasil penelitian membuktikan bahwa: (1) kompetensi pedagogik guru IPS SMP di Kabupaten Kebumen dalam kategori baik dengan persentase sebesar 88,00%; (2) kompetensi kepribadian guru IPS SMP di Kabupaten Kebumen dalam kategori amat baik dengan persentase sebesar 93,09%; (3) kompetensi sosial guru IPS SMP di Kabupaten Kebumen dalam kategori baik dengan persentase sebesar 88,65%; (4) kompetensi profesional guru IPS SMP di Kabupaten Kebumen dalam kategori baik dengan persentase sebesar 79,53%. EVALUATION OF PERFORMANCE OF SOCIAL SCIENCE TEACHERS AT JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOLS BASED ON TEACHER’S STANDARD COMPETENCE IN KEBUMEN REGENCYAbstractThe research objectives were to reveal pedagogical competence, personality competence, social  competence, and professional competence of social science teachers at junior high schools in Kebumen Regency based on the assessor’s assessment and self assessment. This was a evaluation research using bechmarking evaluation model with descriptive kuantitatif. The research population was all social science teachers at junior high schools in Kebumen Regency. The sample, consisting of 134 teachers, was selected using the proportional random sampling technique. The data were collected through questionnaires. They were analyzed using descriptive statistics with percentage. The research finding proved that: (1) pedagogical competence of social science teachers at junior high schools in Kebumen Regency is in the good category with the percentage 88.00%; (2) personality competence of social science teachers at junior high schools in Kebumen Regency is in the very good category with the percentage 93.09%; (3) social competence of social science teachers at junior high schools in Kebumen Regency is in the good category with the percentage each of 88.65%; (4) professional competence of social science teachers at junior high schools in Kebumen Regency is in the good category with the percentage 79.53%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kultur sekolah, konsep diri, dan status sosial ekonomi orang tua secara parsial dan secara bersama-sama terhadap perilaku konsumtif siswa SMA Negeri di Kota Yogyakarta. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian ex-post facto. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri di Kota Yogyakarta yang berjumlah 2.706 siswa. Sampel penelitian sebesar 366 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah kuesioner. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif, analisis regresi sederhana, dan analisis regresi berganda. Hasil penelitian ini adalah: (1) kultur sekolah berpengaruh terhadap perilaku konsumtif siswa SMA Negeri di Kota Yogyakarta dengan sumbangan sebesar 23,3%, (2) konsep diri berpengaruh terhadap perilaku konsumtif siswa SMA Negeri di Kota Yogyakarta dengan sumbangan sebesar 22,1%, (3) status sosial ekonomi orang tua berpengaruh terhadap perilaku konsumtif siswa SMA Negeri di Kota Yogyakarta dengan sumbangan sebesar 12,5%, dan (4) kultur sekolah, konsep diri, dan status sosial ekonomi orang tua secara bersama-sama berpengaruh terhadap perilaku konsumtif siswa SMA Negeri di Kota Yogyakarta dengan sumbangan sebesar 36,2%.Kata kunci: kultur sekolah, konsep diri, status sosial ekonomi orang tua, perilaku konsumtif THE EFFECT OF SCHOOL CULTURE, SELF-CONCEPT, AND SOCIO-ECONOMIC STATUS OF PARENTS ON CONSUMPTIVE BEHAVIOR STUDENTSAbstractThis study aims to investigate the effect of school culture, self-concept, and socio-economic status of parents partially and simultaneously on consumptive behavior of state senior high school students in the city of Yogyakarta. This was an ex post facto study. The research population was all eleventh grade students in state senior high school in the city of Yogyakarta with total of 2,706 students. The research sample was 366 students. The data were collected through a questionnaire. The data were analyzed by means of the descriptive analysis, simple regression analysis, and multiple regression analysis. The results of the study are: (1) school culture has an effect on consumptive behavior of state senior high school students in the city of Yogyakarta with a contribution of 23.3%, (2) self-concept has an effect on consumptive behavior of state senior high school students in the city of Yogyakarta with a contribution of 22.1%, (3) socio-economic status of parents has an effect on consumptive behavior of state senior high school students in the city of Yogyakarta with a contribution of 12.5%, and (4) school culture, self-concept, and socio-economic status have effects on consumptive behavior of state senior high school students in the city of Yogyakarta with a contribution of 36.2%.Keywords: school culture, self-concept, socio-economic status of parents, consumptive behavior

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian asosiatif kausal dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Populasi penelitian ini adalah semua siswa kelas XI IPS di 13 SMA swasta di Kabupaten Gunungkidul. Sampel sekolah sejumlah lima sekolah diambil dengan teknik cluster random sampling. Sampel siswa sebanyak 97 siswa ditentukan dengan teknik area proporsional random sampling. Pengumpulan data menggunakan angket untuk variable kreativitas mengajar guru, pola asuh orang tua, iklim sekolah, serta dokumentasi untuk variable Prestasi belajar. Pengujian validitas instrument dilakukan dengan expert judgment dan confirmatory factor analysis, sedangkan uji reliabilitas menggunakan Alfa Cronbach. Analisis  data menggunakan teknik regresi linier sederhana dan ganda, dengan taraf signifikansi 0,05. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) kreativitas mengajar guru berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap prestasi belajar siswa, dan kreativitas mengajar guru termasuk kategori tinggi; (2) pola asuh orang tua berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap prestasi belajar siswa, dan pola asuh orang tua termasuk kategori sedang; (3) iklim sekolah berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap prestasi belajar siswa, dan iklim sekolah termasuk kategori tingggi; (4) kreativitas mengajar guru, pola asuh orang tua, iklim sekolah secara bersama-sama berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap hasil belajar siswa. Hal ini berarti kreativitas mengajar guru, motivasi belajar, dan lingkungan keluarga berpengaruh terhadap prestasi belajar siswa secara terpisah maupun secara bersama-sama.Kata kunci: kreativitas mengajar guru, pola asuh orang tua, iklim sekolah THE EFFECT OF TEACHERS’ CREATIVITY, PARENTING, AND SCHOOL ATMOSPHERE ON STUDENTS LEARNING ACHIEVEMENTAbstractThis study is an associativecausal research using quantitative approach. The population was all XI IPS students in 13 private senior high schools at Gunungkidul regency. Then, 5 schools weretaken to be the sample by using cluster random sampling. Whereas, the sample of the students were 97 students determined by using the technique of area proportional random sampling. The technique of data collection for the variable of teachers’ creativity, parenting, and school climate was questionnaire, while documentation was used to collect data for the variable of learning achievement. The validity testing of instruments of this research was expert judgment and confirmatory factor analysis and alpha cronbach is taken for reliability testing. The data were analyzed by using simple and multiple regression technique at 0.05 of significance level. The findings of the study show that: (1) the teachers’ creativity has positive and significant effect on the students’ learning achievement, and this is included in high category; (2) parenting has positive and significant effect on the students’ learning achievement, and this is included in middle category; (3) school climate has positive and significant effect to the students’ learning achievement, and this is also in high category; (4) teachers’ creativity, parenting, and school climate simultaneously have positive and significant effect on the students’ learning achievement. It is concluded that, either separately or simultaneously, teachers’ creativity, learning motivation, and family have an effect on students’ learning achievement.Keywords: teachers’ creativity, parenting, school climate
