Abstract

Long term relationship between a company as a buyer and a supplier is a perception of mutual dependency which is beneficial for both parties. Commitment and dependency, trustworthiness and satisfaction influnce that long term relationship. The trustworthines, however, represents a determining factor since its function is an credibility and benefalence. Credibility creates expectation toward both written and oral statements which an trustworthy and reliable expressed by both parties as working partners. Benevolence makes both parties consider and motivate each other concerning their  welfare to work together. Satisfaction, on the other hand, will arouse the willingness to trustact with another company which will help abstain the credibility in order to cooperate in the future. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) mengetahui karakteristik demografi mahasiswa dalam kaitannya dengan indeks prestasi kumulatif (IPK), (2) mengkaji aktivitas komunikasi mahasiswa jika dikaitkan dengan IPK, dan (3) menganalisis efek komunikasi terhahap IPK. Metode analisis data yang dipergunakan adalah Chi Square dan CHAID.Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Unit Program Belajar Jarak Jauh (UPBJJ) Jakarta menggunakan metode survai, dengan populasi sebesar 252 responden. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan cara purposif sejumlah 78 responden. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) aspek demografi tidak berkaitan secara signifikan dengan perubahan pada perolehan IPK. (2) ada hubungan antara penggunaan informasi atau pesan dan IPK, (3) ada hubungan antara pemilihan media komunikasi dan IPK, serta ada hubungan antara perilaku komunikasi dan IPK. Responden yang mempunyai IPK sedang atau di atas 2.00 mempunyai ciri, selalumengerjakan tugas mandiri, selalu aktif dalam kelompok belajar, dan memilih media personal dengan datang langsung atau melalui telpon dalam melakukan komunikasi dengan sumber belajarnya. Adapun responden yang mempunyai IPK rendah atau di bawah 2.00 mempunyai ciri, tidak pernah mengerjakan tugas mandiri, tidak aktif mengikuti tutorial, jarang merencanakan mata kuliah setiap semesternya, dan memilih media untuk berkomunikasi melalui surat via pos.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect and analyze the effect of work facilities and compensation on work motivation and employee performance at the Regional Hospital Dr. H. Soemarno Sosroatmodjo Tanjung Selor. This type of quantitative research is descriptive explanatory. The total population is 400 people and the sample is 80 people. Collecting data by distributing questionnaires and continued in the analysis with path analysis. The results of hypothesis testing are proven that work facilities have an effect on employee work motivation, this is indicated by a significance value smaller than 0.05 and the first hypothesis is accepted. Compensation shows an effect on employee work motivation, this is indicated by a significance value smaller than 0.05 and the second hypothesis is accepted. Work facilities have a direct effect on employee performance, showing that work facilities have a direct significant effect on performance. This means that every increase in work facilities will improve employee performance in carrying out the tasks for which they are responsible. Compensation directly affects employee performance shows that compensation has a direct significant effect on performance. This means that any increase in compensation will directly improve employee performance in carrying out their duties. Work motivation has a significant effect on employee performance, this indicates that any increase in work motivation that has existed so far has a significant impact on employee performance. The direct influence between work facilities and compensation, either partially or simultaneously on employee performance, is greater than the indirect effect, so that the direct effect is more dominant than the indirect effect. Work motivation in this study does not fully partially mediate the effect of work facilities and compensation on employee performance. Likewise, work motivation in this study does not fully partially mediate the effect of work facilities and compensation on employee performance.
