Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui dan mempelajari status dan ketersediaan hara Cu dan Zn pada lahan padi sawah irigasi semi teknis di Desa Sri Agung Kecamatan Batang Asam Kabupaten Tanjung Jabung Barat. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Desa Sri Agung, Kecamatan Batang Asam, Kabupaten Tanjung Jabung Barat. Penelitian dilakukan dengan Metode Survei Eksploratif-Deskriptif, dimana pemilihan areal pewakil dengan menggunakan Metoda Purposive Sampling yakni berdasarkan tahun pencetakan sawah dan kelompok tani. Pengambilan sampel tanah dilakukan berdasarkan tahun pencetakan dan kelompok tani, dimana pencetakan sawah tahun 1992 sampai tahun 1995 diambil 2 sampel tanah komposit yang diperoleh dari 10 titik boring yang ditentukan secara zig-zag sedangkan untuk pencetakan sawah tahun 1996 yang dikelola 8 kelompok tani diambil 1 sampel tanah komposit yang berasal dari 5 titik boring. Dari uraian tersebut total sampel komposit sebanyak 16 sampel dengan jumlah titik boring 80 titik . Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Tanah sawah di lokasi penelitian 93,75% bertekstur lempung liat berdebu dan 6,25% bertekstur liat berdebu. Kandungan C-organik tanah sawah memiliki kandungan C-organik yang tergolong rendah dengan nilai 0,94% sampai 1,46%. pH tanah lapang secara keseluruhan tergolong agak masam dengan nilai pH berkisar dari 5,62 sampai 5,80 sedangkan pH tanah kering angin tergolong masam dengan nilai pH berkisar dari 4,60 sampai 5,28. Kandungan unsur hara Cu secara keseluruhan tergolong rendah menurut kriteria IPB 1982 dengan nilai kandungan Cu berkisar dari 0,5 ppm sampai 4,25 ppm sedangkan kandungan unsur hara Cu tergolong cukup menurut kriteria Balai Penelitian Tanah (BPT) 2009. Kandungan unsur hara Zn secara keseluruhan tergolong tinggi menurut kriteria IPB 1982 dengan nilai kandungan Zn berkisar dari 10,28 ppm sampai 20,87 ppm sedangkan kandungan unsur hara Zn tergolong cukup menurut kriteria Balai Penelitian Tanah (BPT) 2009. Korelasi antara tahun pencetakan sawah dengan pH tanah kondisi lapang yaitu Y = 20,8 - 1,36X1 + 0,0303 X2 dengan R2 = 0,169 dan korelasi antara tahun pencetkan sawah dengan pH kering angin yaituY = 17,8 - 1,28 X1 + 0,0312 X2 dengan R2 = 0,227. Korelasi antara pH tanah dengan ketersediaan Cu yaitu Y = 294 - 25,8X1 + 0,566 X2 dengan R2 = 0,31 dan korelasi antara pH tanah dengan ketersediaan Zn yaitu Y = 1064 - 92,9X1 + 2,04 X2 dengan R2 = 0,347

Abstract

The type of soil planted is Ultisol soil which has many problems with low physical and chemical properties; hence the soil fertility is low. To be able to grow peanuts optimally, it is necessary to apply fertilizer to the soil. This article was to assist groups farmer in the use of liquid banana stem fertilizer for long bean plants. The method uses Participation Action Research (PAR). Some of the mentoring programs carried out were counseling on materials and practices for making liquid fertilizer which lasted for 4 months through several stages: preliminary survey, schedule determination and outreach of extension in the manufacture of liquid organic fertilizer from banana stems for long beans. The extension is carried out in two stages, namely by the method provides material related to the manufacture of liquid organic fertilizer for banana stems and also material on how to use banana stem organic fertilizer for long bean plants. After that, it was continued by carrying out a direct demonstration in the field on how to give liquid organic fertilizer from banana stems to long bean plants in farmer groups, In addition, farmer groups can make liquid organic fertilizer from banana stems and have also been able to determine the dose for long bean plants. In the appearance of long bean growth, the leaves are very green and bear fruit after adding liquid organic fertilizer. After the implementation of this service, it can be seen that the yield of long beans has increased from 10 tons to 17.5 tons per ha. Abstract

Kampung Keluarga Berkualitas (Kampung KB) is one of the development programs to create quality families in Indonesia. Kampung KB is a village-level regional unit with integration and convergence in implementing empowerment and strengthening of family institutions in all its dimensions to improve the quality of human resources, families, and communities. The growth of Kampung KB in Jambi Province shows the high government's attention to this program to improve the quality of life of its people. However, the Kampung KB's success in improving the community's quality of life is largely determined by the level of community participation itself. This study analyzes the factors that influence community participation in the Kampung KB Program in Jambi Province. This study uses primary data obtained through target group respondents in Kampung KB in Jambi Province. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and a binary logit regression model. The study results found that the overall level of community participation in the Kampung KB Program was moderate. The level of community participation was significantly related to education, length of stay at the location, and distance from house to the place of activity.

Abstract

Suatu pemelitian lapang yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui status sifat fisik Andisol pada konversi tanaman teh di perkebunan menjadi tanaman kopi telah dilaksanakan . Penelitian ini mengunakan tanah Andisol yang berada pada ketinggian 1600 m dari permukaan laut. Di kacamtan Kayu Aro Kabupaten Kerinci. Penelitian dilaksanakan selama 3 bulan pada tahun 2020. Analisis tanah dilakukan di laboratorium Tanah Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Jambi Pengambilan sampel tanah dilakukan pada kedalaman 0 – 30 cm pada tanaman teh dan tanaman kopi. Sampel tanah yang diambil di bawah tanaman teh diambil yang sudah berproduksi begitu juga pada tanaman kopi yang sudah berbuah panen. Lokasi pengambilan sampel terlebih dahulu mempertimbangkan dari jenis tanah yang sama, kemudian dari lereng yang sama dan curah hujan yang sama. Sampel tanah diambil sebanyak 16 kali ulangan dengan rentang kelerengan tanah 8 % sampai 30 % kemiringan pada tanaman teh dan tanaman kopi. Parameter sifat fisik tanah yang diamati adalah kadar bahan organik tanah, berat volume tanah, persentase total ruang pori tanah, persentase agregat terbentuk dan kemantapan agregat tanah Andisol . Data tersebut dianalisis dengan Uji Nilai Tengah Tidak Berpasangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa konversi perkebunan teh menjadi tanaman perkebunan kopi pada beberapa parameter status sifat fisik memberikan gambaran yang sama walaupun pengantian tanaman kopi ini baru dilakukan selama 6 tahun penanaman pada tanah Andisol

Abstract

The article aimed giving an assistance of making compost fertilizer through waste raw materials for water spinach Plants in Polybag. The researchers used Community Based Research (CBR). This service was in the form of material counseling and direct demonstrations in the field for three months starting from a preliminary survey, determining the schedule until conducting outreach counseling in composting from waste sources. The Extension was carried out in two stages, namely by providing materials related composting and followed by carried out a direct demonstration in the field on how to make compost it with children at Yayasan Kesejahteraan Anak (YKA) Jambi City. The article conducted at Yayasan Kesejahteraan Anak (YKA), with 50 students as participants. The results showed that this assistance giving significant results of children because they have skilled in making compost from waste and planting water spinach in polybags where the results gave nutrition of Yayasan Kesejahteraan Anak (YKA). Abstract

Sweet corn ( Zea mays saharata Sturt )  is a type of staple food that can replace rice. Sweet corn is the most widely cultivated after rice. Sweet corn can be processed directly boiled because it tastes quite sweet. The Sumber Rezeki farmer group is trying to plant sweet corn in addition to other vegetable crops because the extension agent will provide a method of making liquid fertilizer from banana stems after it is finished, it will be given to sweet corn plants planted on Ultisol soil type. The service carried out is in the form of material counseling and direct demonstrations in the field for 3 months in 2022 from a preliminary survey, determining a schedule and conducting outreach activities in the manufacture of liquid organic fertilizer from banana stem raw materials for long beans. The counseling was carried out in two stages, namely by providing material related to the use of compost for organic fertilizer for sweet corn plants. After that, it was continued by carrying out a direct demonstration in the field on how to apply liquid organic fertilizer from banana stems to long bean plants at the Sumber Rezeki farmer group. For the smooth implementation of service. So the Community Service Team provided the materials needed for counseling and demonstrations, namely banana stems to make liquid organic fertilizer, buckets with lids, sugar, EM 4 microorganisms, hoes, machetes and clean water. Previously, material duplication, photo props and preparation for consumption were also prepared during a demonstration in the use of liquid organic fertilizer from banana stems for sweet corn at the Sumber Sustenance farmer group in Mendalo Darat Village, Muaro Jambi Regency. The results after carrying out the counseling showed that farmers in the Sumber Rezeki Farmer group were very enthusiastic in listening and discussing and when making liquid organic fertilizer from banana stems and using it for corn plants in the field the farmers really understood. And after receiving this material counseling, it is hoped that the corn farmers in the Sumber Rezeki Farmer Group will be able to provide their own fertilizer for the sweet corn plants so that the yield of sweet corn will increase and can as income increase the income of the Sumber Rezeki farmer group.

Abstract

Hutan merupakan suatu kawasan yang didalamnya ditumbuhi pepohonan dan tanaman lainnya secara liar dengan beraneka ragam dan jenis tumbuhan. Apabila hutan dialih fungsikan sebagai kawasan hortikultura, maka sebagai fungsi penting hutan akan hilang karean salah satu fungsi hutan adalah untuk menahan air dan dengan keberadaan tajuk dan akar tanaman akan membuat tanah tidak mudah longsor. Jika hutan digantikan dengan tanaman durian, manggis dan duku maka akan terjadi perubahan terhadap sifat fisik tanah. Entisol merupakan salah satu jenis tanah baru yang ada di Indonesia yang yang termasuk golongan subur sampai kurang subur. Tanah mempunyai sifat andik dengan ketebalan dangkal. Tanah bagian bawah berwarna coklat sampai coklat kekuningan, tekstur sedang poros sampai sarang, tanah dibagian bawah berwarna coklat sampai kekuningan, pemadatan lemah, akumulasi liat sering di temukan di lapisan bawah. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Desa Talang Duku Kecamatan Taman Rajo Kabupaten Muaro Jambi. Tujuan penelitian untuk melihat perubahan sifat fisik tanah hutan menjadi tanaman hortikultura duku, durian dan manggis. Pengambilan sampel tanah di lakukan pada tanah yang ditanami duku, durian dan manggis dan hutan sekunder. Analisis tanah di laksanakan di Laboratorium Fisika dan Kimia Tanah Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Jambi. Pengambilan sampel tanah untuk penentuan sifat fisik di lakukan secara survei dengan metode proporsif random sampling pada areal yang di tanami duku, durian dan mangis dan hutan sekunder pada kelerengan 0 – 8 % ..Parameter yang diamati beberapa sifat fisik tanah yaitu berat volume tanah, total ruang pori, kadar bahan organik, kadar C- organik tanah dan kadar air tanah. Dari hasil uji t tidak berpasangan di dapatkan bahwa penggantian hutan menjadi tanaman hortikultura dengan di tanam durian, manggis dan duku di dapatkan hasil bahwa kadar bahan organik. Berat volume dan total ruang pori tanah hutan Sama dengan tanah yang di tanaman manggis namun berbeda dengan tanah yang ditanami durian dan duku. Abstract

Pengolahan tanah dengan dua lintasan traktor dan pupuk kandang 5 dan 10 ton per hektar memberikan produktivitas kentang masing-masing 42.93 kg/12 m2 (35.78 ton/ha) dan 50.99 kg/12 m2 (42.99 ton/ha) dengan sifat tanah relatif sama.  Penelitian bertujuan untuk menguji hasil percobaan petak kecil tersebut (12 m2) dengan metode demplot, dua demplot masing-masing seluas 800 m2 pada tanah andisol yang landai (kemiringan lereng 6%, pupuk kandang 5 ton/ha) dan berbukit (kemiringan lereng 19%, pupuk kandang 10 ton/ha) di Desa Kebun Baru, Kecamatan Kayu Aro, Kabupaten Kerinci.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa C-organik, pH, N-total, K-tersedia dan serangan patogen relatif sama antar demplot; sedangkan BV lebih rendah, laju dan kapasitas infiltrasi (6.9 cm/jam dan 4.81 cm/jam), P-tersedia (26.33 ppm), produktivitas kentang (30.09 ton/ha), BCR (1.87) dan RCR (2.87) lebih tinggi pada demplot yang landai, dibandingkan dengan laju dan kapasitas infiltrasi (5.37 cm/jam dan 2.91 cm/jam), P-tersedia (23.4 ppm), produktivitas kentang (27.68 ton/ha), BCR (1.48) dan RCR (2.48) pada demplot berbukit; usahatani kentang lebih efisien dan lebih menguntungkan pada lahan yang landai dibandingkan dengan di lahan berbukit.

Abstract

Roses (Rosa hybrida) are known as the “Prince of Flowers” due to their beauty and fragrance. This article discusses the improvement of rose quality through the use of NPK Mutiara fertilizer in the PKK group in Pakuan Baru, Jambi City. The community program aims to enhance the skills of women in the PKK group in cultivating roses, enabling them to achieve robust growth and abundant blooming with vibrant colors. The team provided rose seedlings, polybags, NPK Mutiara fertilizer, potting soil, and water. The results of this program showed enthusiasm and understanding among the PKK women regarding the use of this fertilizer for roses.

Abstract

Long bean (Vigna sinensis L) is a vegetable commodity widely cultivated in lowland areas. Its high nutritional content has made it popular among communities as a vegetable and salad ingredient. This study aims to enhance the knowledge and skills of the PKK group in cultivating long beans using liquid organic fertilizer made from banana stems. Based on surveys, long beans are consumed by households 2-3 times a week with specific preferences regarding their characteristics. The cultivation of long beans takes place in ultisol soil, which requires the application of fertilizer to improve fertility. Therefore, a 3-month program consisting of training and demonstrations on the production of liquid organic fertilizer from banana stems was conducted in the PKK RT 23 group in Pasir Putih Village, Jambi City. The community engagement program aimed to provide knowledge on the use of compost as organic fertilizer and the process of making liquid organic fertilizer from banana stems. The community engagement team provided the necessary materials and tools for the training and demonstrations. The utilization of liquid organic fertilizer is expected to enhance long bean harvests and overall increase the income of the PKK group.
