Abstract

January Effect is the stock returns in January are higher than other months. This study uses the Generalized Autoregresive Conditional Heteroscedasticity (GARCH) method to test and analyze the January Effect in the Indonesian capital market from 2000 dd. 2018. The novelty of this study is a research methodology that classifies samples by sector and period on the January Effect test. The results of this study indicate that the January Effect occurs in several sectors and period. The January Effect occurs in the mining sector, consumer goods sector, property sector, and trade sector. Thus, the results of this study confirm the tax loss selling hypothesis and window dressing hypothesis in several sectors and observation periods. This shows that the January Effect is related to the characteristics of the sector and the period of observation.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah pengendalian kualitas proses yang dilakukan oleh Perusahaan Pie Susu sudah optimal. Penelitian dilakukan di Perusahaan Pie Susu di Kota Denpasar. Penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif. Metode pengambilan sampel untuk tes kualitas menggunakan random sampling. Data yang digunakan adalah jumlah kerusakan pada produksi periode Oktober sampai dengan November 2017. Teknik analisis data menggunakan statistical quality control, yaitu diagram peta kendali p (p-Chart) dan diagram sebab akibat serta untuk menganalisis penyebab masalah. Hasil analisis biaya kualitas menunjukkan pengendalian kualitas belum optimal, karena tingkat kerusakan aktual 7884 biji pie susu total biaya kualitas (TQC) sebesar Rp 45.130.510 yang terdiri dari biaya pengawasan kualitas (QCC) sebesar Rp 35.669.710 dan biaya jaminan kualitas (QAC) sebesar Rp 9.460.800 lebih besar dibandingkan tingkat kerusakan optimal dengan total biaya kualitas (TQC*) sebesar Rp 36.740.386 yang terdiri dari biaya pengawasan kualitas (QCC*) sebesar Rp 18.370.786 dan biaya jaminan kualitas (QAC*) sebesar Rp 18.369.600.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the optimal queue system configuration for online motorcycle taxi driver partner registration services at the PT XYZ Bali Branch Office using a quantitative approach. Data on arrival time, service time, and operational costs were analyzed through queuing theory using the POM-QM software. The analysis results show that although phases 1, 2, and 4 meet efficiency criteria (utilization below 70%), reducing the number of servers in phases 1 and 2 can lower operational costs, as the queuing cost is lower than the service cost. Meanwhile, phase 3 shows a high utilization rate (80%), but adding a server increases the total cost. Therefore, the study recommends implementing an interchange schedule to dynamically allocate servers during peak hours to maintain a balance between cost efficiency and service capacity. Additionally, the implementation of self-service in phase 2 is proposed to enhance efficiency without reducing service capacity, with experimental results showing an increase in service rates from 2 to 7 registrants per hour. These findings contribute to the development of a more efficient and applicable queuing model and serve as a reference for companies in improving service quality and registrant satisfaction.

Abstract

Kinerja perusahaan merupakan suatu keadaan yang dihasilkan oleh suatu perusahaan dengan mengacu pada standar penilaian kinerja perusahaan. Perusahaan perlu berupaya untuk terus meningkatkan kinerjanya agar tidak terbuang di tengah persaingan yang ketat. Sangat penting bagi perusahaan meperhatikan supply chain management dalam upaya meningkatkan nilai tambah yang dirasakan untuk konsumen akhir yang menjadi keunggulan kompetitif dalam upaya meningkatkan kinerja perusahaan. Tujuan penelitian ini menjelaskan peran keunggulan komppetitif sebagai mediator diantara supply chain management dengan kinerja perusahaan pada PT. Sinar Sosro Gianyar. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui kuesioner yang dibagikan kepada seluruh karyawan PT. Sinar Sosro. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah sampling jenuh, dengan seluruh populasi dijadikan sampel yaitu 90 karyawan. Analisis data yang digunakan dengan metode analisi jalur (path analysis). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa supply chain management berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja perusahaan, begitu pula dengan keunggulan kompetitif yang memiliki pengaruh poositif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja perusahaan. Keunggulan kompetitif secara signifikan memediasi pengaruh supply chain management terhadap kinerja perusahaan. Implikasi penelitian ini  menekankan pentingnya bagi PT. Sinar Sosro untuk terus meningkatkan praktik supply chain management dan meningkatkan keunggulan kompetitif  untuk meningkatka kinerja perusahaan.   Company performance reflects the results achieved based on performance assessment standards. To survive in intense competition, companies must improve their performance. One critical strategy is strengthening supply chain management to increase the added value for end consumers, thereby gaining a competitive advantage. This study aims to examine the role of competitive advantage as a mediating variable in the relationship between supply chain management and company performance at PT Sinar Sosro Gianyar. A quantitative approach was employed, with data collected through questionnaires distributed to all 90 employees using a saturated sampling technique. The data were analyzed using path analysis. The findings reveal that supply chain management has a positive and significant impact on company performance. Additionally, competitive advantage also positively and significantly affects company performance. Furthermore, competitive advantage is proven to significantly mediate the relationship between supply chain management and company performance. These results suggest that companies, particularly PT Sinar Sosro, should continuously improve their supply chain management practices and focus on enhancing competitive advantage. Strengthening these two aspects can lead to better performance and a more sustainable competitive position in the market.
