Abstract

Ikan hias adalah salah satu potensi  perikanan yang cukup besar di Indonesia. Budidaya ikan hias air tawar memiliki nilai ekspor yang cukup tinggi dan berpeluang dapat meningkatkan devisa. Ikan hias dapat dijadikan alternatif usaha yang dapat memberikan keuntungan finansial. Ikan pelangi (Melanotaenia parva) merupakan salah satu ikan hias air tawar yang memiliki warna, bentuk dan ukuran yang menarik, serta mudah dibudidayakan. Budidaya ikan pelangi memiliki kendala terutama pada ketersediaan benih. Ketersediaan benih berhubungan dengan waktu penetasan telur yang membutuhkan waktu lama. Peningkatan salinitas dapat digunakan untuk meningkatkan ketersediaan benih ikan pelangi. Penelitian dilakukan untuk mengetahui pengaruh salinitas terhadap daya tetas dan lama waktu penetasan telur ikan pelangi. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah rancangan acak lengkap dengan 6 perlakuan salinitas yaitu 0; 2; 4; 6; 8; dan 10 ppt dengan 3 ulangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penetasan telur menggunakan salinitas yang berbeda berpengaruh terhadap lama embriogenesis. Telur ikan pelangi yang ditetaskan pada salinitas 4 ppt lebih cepat menetas dibandingkan dengan perlakuan lain. Kontras dengan lama waktu penetasan, ternyata salinitas  tidak berpengaruh terhadap daya tetas telur ikan pelangi. Penelitian ini menyarankan agar penggunaan air berkadar garam rendah disarankan untuk mempersingkat embriogenesis ikan pelangi.

Abstract

The research of cloves oil (Sygniumaromaticum) as anesthetic materialto rainbow fish (Glossolepis incisus) wasinvestigated with the lethal concentration(LC50-48 hours), effective concentration (EC50-1 hours), time passed out and recovery timeafter conscious. Data analysis by usingprobit was conducted to find out the valueof LC_50-48 and linear regression analysisused to find recovery time after conscious.The results showed that LC50-48 hours valueis 0,273 ml/L and EC50-1 hours valueis 0,159 ml/L. Cloves oil at concentrations0,159 ml/L was used as anesthetic within50% rainbow fish stock during 40,02 minutesand time to recovery is 3,54 minutes.

Abstract

Ikan pelangi merupakan jenis ikan hias air tawar yang diminati masyarakat, diantaranya adalah ikan pelangi boesemani dan ikan pelangi merah. Kedua jenis ikan tersebut merupakan ikan endemik yang berasal dari Irian Jaya dan termasuk kelompok ikan yang terancam punah. Tingginya minat masyarakat terhadap ikan pelangi menyebabkan breeder melakukan usaha budidaya dengan cara persilangan. Ikan hasil persilangan memiliki karakter fenotip yang khas meliputi, warna, bentuk, morfometrik dan meristik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis variasi morfologi, karakter morfometrik dan meristik serta pola pertumbuhan individu ikan hasil persilangan antara ikan pelangi boesemani normal (jantan) dan ikan pelangi merah abnormal (betina). Pengukuran 30 karakter morfometrik dan meristik dilakukan terhadap ikan dewasa (hidup) yang berusia 9 bulan. Analisis data menggunakan analisis komponen utama (PCA), analisis perbandingan karakter meristik, analisis hubungan panjang-berat. Hasil PCA menunjukkan perbedaan karakter dan ciri khas morfometrik tertentu antara ikan hasil persilangan yang normal dan abnormal. Hasil analisis perbandingan karakter meristik menunjukkan bahwa kisaran nilai setiap karakter meristik tidak berbeda jauh dengan hasil penelitian sebelumnya. Hasil analisis hubungan panjang-berat menunjukkan bahwa ikan jantan normal bersifat allometrik positif, sedangkan ikan jantan abnormal dan ikan betina (normal-abnormal) bersifat allometrik negatif. Perbedaan dalam setiap parameter ini disebabkan oleh perbedaan bentuk dari tubuh ikan akibat keabnormalan. Rainbow fish is species of freshwater fish that interest the public, such as the boesemani rainbow fish and red rainbow fish. Both of these fishes are endemic fish from Irian Jaya and includes a group of endangered fish. The high of public interest cause a rainbow fish breeders to do cultivation by crossing way. The fish from crosses have distinctive phenotypic characters include, color, shape, morphometric and meristic. This study aims to analyze morphological variation, morphometric and meristic characters and growth patterns of individual fish from crosses between normal boesemani rainbow fish (males) and abnormal red rainbow fish (females). 30 characters of morphometric and meristic measurement were conducted on adult fish (live) 9 month old. Analysis of data by using principal component analysis (PCA), comparative analysis of meristic characters, analysis of the length-weight relationship. PCA results showed the characteristic differences in morphometric characters and certain fish from crosses between normal and abnormal. The results of comparative analysis of meristic characters show that the range of values of each character was not much different from the previous results of the study. The results of the analysis of the length-weight relationship showed that the normal male fish are positively allometric whereas, abnormal male fish and female fish (normal-abnormal) are negatively allometric. Differences in each parameter was caused by differences in the shape of a fish's body as a result of abnormality.

Abstract

Abalone farming is gaining popularity worldwide as demand grows. The importance of abalone farming throughout Indonesia is due in part to expanding demand for both local and foreign abalone, and to a growing awareness of the necessity for sustainable seafood production. This study relies on fourty-six scientific papers published between 2000 and 2023. The distribution and variety, bio-reproduction and breeding, growth, and commerce of small tropical abalones are carefully explored to highlight the current research state, as well as the opportunities and challenges in the existing abalone sector. Finally, all interactions yield findings that can be utilized to guide government policy. To realize its full potential, the Indonesian abalone industry must overcome difficulties such as competition and price fluctuations. Key goals include developing sustainability collection and trading methods, reliably supplying high-quality abalone goods, and expanding their reach through global trade. Addressing these challenges will enable the Indonesian abalone industry to thrive in the next years. The abalone business in Indonesia has a long history, is now growing and active, and presents significant potential. With ongoing R&D investments, the Indonesian abalone sector can meet national and global market demands while being sustainable. Understanding the current situation of abalone research in Indonesia is critical to maintaining the industry's long-term survival.
