Abstract

Musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) are medical conditions that affect the muscles, bones, ligaments, tendons, nerves and other supporting structures in the human body. This research aims to identify and analyze risk factors and the influence of ergonomics on musculoskeletal disorders in the work environment. Using qualitative methods based on literature review studies, this research explores various factors that contribute to musculoskeletal disorders through content analysis from various previously published literature sources. The main risk factors contributing to this disorder include unergonomic work postures, lifting heavy loads, and repetitive movements. This research highlights the importance of ergonomic interventions, such as adjusting sitting position, setting up work tools, and ergonomics training for workers, in reducing the risk of musculoskeletal disorders. It is hoped that the results of this research will provide useful insights for occupational health practitioners, human resource managers, and policy makers in designing and implementing effective ergonomics programs in the workplace. By understanding risk factors and effective ergonomic interventions, companies can improve worker health and well-being, reduce the incidence of musculoskeletal disorders, and ultimately increase work productivity and efficiency.

Abstract

Background: Ligaments are strong connective tissues that connect bones to other bones, providing stability and supporting joint movement. Ligament injuries are a serious issue often experienced by athletes and active individuals, which can lead to pain, swelling, and reduced joint function. The treatment for ligament injuries varies depending on the severity of the injury and individual needs. Purpose: To determine the effectiveness of these two methods in accelerating the healing process and reducing the risk of complications. Method: A qualitative study using a literature review approach. Data collection was derived from various written sources, such as scientific journals, books, conference articles, and research reports. The data analysis technique involves several important steps: conducting extensive literature searches using relevant keywords, selecting literature based on its relevance and quality, thoroughly reading and understanding the content of the literature, recording important information, key findings, and interpretations presented by the authors. Once the data was gathered, the researcher performed synthesis and thematic analysis, organizing the findings into themes or categories aligned with the research topic. Results: Out of 70 articles initially retrieved from Scopus, 9 articles were selected after undergoing a screening process based on predetermined criteria. Conclusion: The use of PRP in the treatment of ligament injuries shows promising results in terms of accelerating recovery time and reducing patient pain. New therapies for ligament injury treatment using PRP and stem cells are highly promising in improving treatment outcomes and speeding up patient recovery.

Abstract

Background: Shoulder impingement syndrome is a musculoskeletal condition that often causes pain and limitation of motion in the shoulder, which is generally caused by pressure on the soft tissue structures around the shoulder joint. Kinesiology tape, as one of the relatively new physical therapy methods, has attracted attention in the context of sports rehabilitation and pain management. Purpose: To evaluate the effectiveness of using kinesiology tape in the management of shoulder impingement syndrome through a systematic literature review. Method: Using a systematic approach, this study identified the strengths and weaknesses of the existing findings and assessed the methodological quality of the published studies. This study collected and analyzed various relevant studies to determine the effects of kinesiology tape on reducing symptoms of shoulder impingement syndrome, improving joint function, and accelerating the recovery process. Results: The review showed that while some studies reported significant benefits from the use of kinesiology tape, the quality of existing evidence was variable and required further research for confirmation. Conclusion: This study provides valuable insight into the role of kinesiology tape in the therapy of shoulder impingement syndrome and suggests future research directions to clarify its effectiveness and mechanism of action.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of using X-ray technology as a supporting tool in the forensic autopsy process. The method used is qualitative with a literature study approach that includes various scientific sources such as journals, books, and medical documents. The results showed that X-ray plays an important role in modern autopsy, especially as a non-invasive method to detect foreign bodies, fractures, and internal trauma that are not visible to the naked eye. In addition, technological developments such as postmortem CT (PMCT) and virtual autopsy (virtopsy) utilizing X-ray have also further expanded the application of imaging in the autopsy process, providing a three-dimensional view of the body without the need to perform surgery. Literature studies show that X-ray is effective in detecting internal lesions and foreign bodies, and aids in victim identification. However, this technique has limitations in visualizing soft tissue and microscopic abnormalities, so it should be used as a complement to traditional autopsy. In conclusion, the use of X-ray in autopsy improves diagnostic efficiency and accuracy, but should be combined with other imaging techniques for more comprehensive results.
