Abstract

Micropropagation of Phalaenopsis Orchid Using Explants of Flower Stalk. This studyaimed to obtain optimum media formulations for bud multiplication of micropropagation ofPhalaenopsis orchid using flower stalk. This study employed Completely Randomized Designwith 5 different treatments, i.e. M0 = MS + 150 ml/l coconut water + 2 g activated charcoal,M1 = MS + 1 ppm IBA+ 1 ppm BAP + 150 ml/l coconut water + 2 g/l activated charcoal M2= MS + 1ppm IBA+ 2 ppm BAP+ 150 ml/l coconut water + 2 g/l activated charcoal, M3 =MS + 1 ppm IBA+ 3 ppm BAP + 150 ml/l coconut water + 2 g/l activated charcoal, M4 = MS+ 1 ppm IBA+ 4 ppm BAP + 15 0ml/l coconut water + 2 g/l activated charcoal. Eachtreatment consists of 5 replicates, so there were 25 units experiment, with 3 explants each. Results of this study revealed that M2 media exhibited the best growth, as shown by swellingbuds (23.77 Days After Planting/DAP), earliest buds formation (49.33 DAP) and height ofbuds of 2,12cm.

Abstract

Study of Organic Fertilizer Providing High and Puddle of Results for Rice Varieties Cigeulis in Subak Sembung Denpasar City. Rice (Oryza sativa L.) is the staple vital food of Indonesian people. National rice production has not been able to meet the needs of the population, despite many efforts such as the use of improved varieties, fertilization, the use of agricultural machinery, and the use of pesticides. This study aimed to determine the effect of water level and organic fertilizers on crop yields of rice. This experiment used randomized block design in a factor groups, namely the combination of the water level and the dose of organic fertilizer. This research using analysis of variance (ANOVA) to determine the effect of treatment of the variables tested. If treatment significantly it will be followed by LSD test 5%. The results showed that the treatment is a combination of water level and organic fertilizers provide a very real effect on the growth and yield of rice (dry grain harvest/ha). Harvest dry grain yield per hectare obtained at the highest AMP2 treatment, namely without flooding water and organic fertilizers and 6 ton / ha at 10,78 ton / ha were significantly higher 33,78 % compared to the treatment of farmers ie 8,07 ton / ha (AGP0), but not significantly different from AMP1. Based on the research results, it can be recommended the application of water-saving cultivation of organic fertilizer with a dose of 4 tons / ha needs to be done to improve rice yields.

Abstract

The Application of Natural Gibberellic Acid (GA) from Bamboo Shoot Extract to Increase Quality of Tomato (Lycopersicum esculentum Mill). Tomato is a horticultural plant that has a lot of benefits. To increase the quality and productivity of tomatoes can be done by giving plant growth substances. This research aimed to find out the effect of natural gibberellic acid (GA) from bamboo shoot on the quality of tomatoes and to get the best natural gibberellic acid concentration from bamboo shoot to increase the quality and productivity of tomatoes. This research was designed using Randomized Block Design which consisted of 1 factor that is natural hormone concentration from bamboo shoot, with 5 treatments. Every treatment was repeated for 5 times. The standard of the treatment consisted of K0 as a control, K1 which was sprayed by 25% of bamboo shoot extract concentration, K2 which was squirted by sprayed by 50% of bamboo shoot extract concentration, K3 which was squirted by 75% of bamboo shoot extract concentration, and K4 which was sprayed by 100% of bamboo shoot extract concentration. The bamboo shoot was sprayed before the tomatoes’ flower blossomed. This research found that the application of bamboo shoot extract affected the quality of the tomatoes itself and reduced the number of seeds of tomato itself. In conclusion, the best concentration that can reduce the number of tomatoe’s seeds is the concentration of 75% (K3) compared to control one with 77%.

Abstract

Isolation and Identification of Endomycorrhizal Indigenous on Salak Rhizosphere in Karangasem Regency and its Propagation. This research aimed to determine and obtain AMF indigenus isolates and their propagation at different levels of soil water content. This research used Completely Randomized Design with 2 Factors. The first factor was location of soil sampling, consisting of 3 levels of treatment (Location 1, Location 2, and Location 3) and the second factor was soil water content consisting of 3 levels of treatment (100, 70, and 40% field capacity). The results of isolation and identification indicate that there were two genus of AMF found on salak rizosphere in Karangasem Regency, those were Glomus and Gigaspora with several different species in it. The percentage of root infection rate was 100% and was categorized very high. The result of AMF spore propagation showed that combination treatment of location 1 which sandy clay soil textured and 40% field capacity produced the highest spores i.e 2382 spores or rised 2282% from 100 spores which were inoculated.

Abstract

Growth Response and Production of Potato (Solanum tuberosum L.) Granola and Desiree Varieties to Different Types of Organic Mulch. Mulch is a plant cover material, The application of different types of organic mulch will have different effects on increasing land and plant productivity. This research aimed to determine the effect of mulch on the growth and yield of potato, and to determine the interaction between types of mulch and varieties on growth and yield of potatoes. This research was held in Partibi Tembe Village, Karo Regency, North Sumatra Province, starting from January to May 2021. The experiment conducted using a randomized block design (RBD) with two treatment factors. The first factor was potato varieties as the main plot consist of 2 levels i.e. Granola and Desiree, and the second factor was mulching as a subplot consist of 3 levels i.e. without mulch/controle, mulching with ‘Tankos’ and mulching with rice husk. The research showed combination of granola varieties and tankos mulch gave the highest diameter per tuber with a size of 6.63 cm. Provision of tankos mulch significantly increased plant height and weight per tuber, plant height increased by 4.48% compared to rice husks and weight per tuber increased by 21.39% compared to no mulch. Provision of granola varieties in increasing the growth of potato plants. Granola varieties increase the number of primary branches per plant. The desiree variety increased the leaf area of the plant, an increase of 7.57% compared to the granola variety. Granola variety can increase potato yields, indicated by the weight of tubers per plant and weight per tuber, the number of primary branches per plant increased 9.29% compared to the desiree variety, the weight of tubers planted increased by 60.67% compared to desiree variety, and weight per tuber increased by 55.89% compared to desiree.

Abstract

One of the problems encountered in cultivating grapes is the low quality of the fruit, the size of the fruit is still relatively small, the taste is not sweet, and the bunches are relatively compact. The problem of compactness or density of fruit bunches causes the shape, size, and maturity of the fruit in the bunch to be less uniform and there are some broken and decayed fruits. Thus, it is necessary to support cultivation technology to support the success of grape cultivation in order to increase the yield and quality of the fruit, one of which is through berry thinning activities. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of berry thinning on the quality of the Kediri Kuning and Prabu Bestari grape varieties. The method used was a split plot design with the basic design of a randomized block design (RBD). The treatments tested were varieties and levels of fruit thinning. The first factor (main plot) was the variety consisting of Kediri Kuning (V1) and the Prabu Bestari variety (V2), while the second factor (sub-plot) was thinning level (P) with a level consisting of P0 = 0% control (without thinning). , P1 = fruit thinning 10%-25%, P2 = fruit thinning >25%-40%, P3 = fruit thinning 40%-55%. The results showed that thinning of berries in P3 treatment (>40-55%) gave a significantly higher effect on the variables of berry weight, berry diameter, fruit bunch length, fruit bunch weight, total dissolved solids, and vitamin C content.
