Abstract

ABSTRACTRAFEL S. SAROINSONG. 100318024. 2014. Inventory Types of Pests on Cropping Chilli (Capsicum annum L.) in the Village Kakaskasen I, Tomohon (Under the guidance of Daisy S. Kandowangko as chairman, Christina L. Salaki and Caroulus S. Rante as a member).This study aims to inventory the types of crop pests and its dominance in chilli (Capsicum annum L.) Organic and Conventional. Field research has been conducted on chilli crop in Village Kakaskasen, Tomohon. Laboratory observations carried out at the Laboratory of Entomology and Pest Plants, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Sam Ratulangi. Research carried out for approximately six months which began in March to August 2014. Observations were made in pepper organic and conventional generative phase. Sampling was done by using an insect net with five swing, Yellow Sticky Trap and attractant (petrogenol). Sampling was conducted over 10 times since crop enters the generative phaseResults showed six orders of insect pests associated to the chilli crop Organic and Conventional namely: Order of Coleoptera (Family Scarabaeidae and Curculionidae); Order of Hemiptera (Family Coreidae and Pentatomidae); Order of Homoptera (Family Aphididae); Order of Thysanoptera (Family Thripidae); Order Diptera (Family Tephritidae); and Order of Lepidoptera (Family Noctuidae). Insects dominate Organic chilli planting area is the Order Diptera (Family Tephritidae), whereas the Conventional chilli planting area is dominated by the Order Coleoptera (Family Scarabaeidae).Keywords : Capsicum annum L., Chili, Kakaskasen I, Tomohon

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe research aims to find out about the type of insect pests population in potato plants Solamun tuberosum L. in Modoinding, South Minahasa. The research was conducted on the potato plants in Modoinding, South Minahasa. The research was carried out by using the survey method on potato in Modoinding's villages, South Minahasa, such as Palelon Village, Makaaroyen Village, and Lineleyan Village. The sampling was carried out with a diagonal incision method that established of five sub-plot that is on the corner and the middle of the sampling sites. The sampling was done by using insect nets that swung above the potato crop for ten times the double swing. The netted insects are immediately put into the "killing bottle" then collected in 70% alcohol to be identified. Identifying the type of insect pests is done by using the facilities of the Entomology and Pest Plant Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, UNSRAT. The results of the research of the associated pests on potato was found about eight kinds of insect pests, such as Empoasca sp. 109.03, Drosophila sp. 37.03, Nesidiocoris sp. 34.11, Lirionyza sp. 10.72, Lygus sp. 4.47, Phthorimaea sp. 2.97, Antractomorpha sp. 1.61, and Epilachna sp. 0.69. The average of the highest populations of insect pests are found in Makaaroyen Village with 37.99, whereas in Palelon Village with 22.79, and the lowest is in rural Lineleyan Village with 14,49.Keywords: Population, Pest, Potato

Abstract

ABSTRACT  Cabbage moth (diamondback moth), Plutella xylostella (Lepidoptera: Plutellidae) is a major pest that is very damaging on plant family Brassicaceae, especially cabbage plants. The study aims to determine parasitation P. xylostella in cabbage planting and Brassiscae area in Tomohon. This study uses survey at four locations in Tomohon, namely Rurukan village, Kumelembuay village, Wailan village and Kakaskasen Two village. Results of the study was only found one type of parasitoids that attack Plutella xylostella in the Tomohon city. Identification results showed that parasitoids that attack the larvae / pupae of P. xylostella is Diadegma semiclausum. The average percentage of parazitation D. semiclausum against P. xylostella in Tomohon highest found in location of Rurukan village (82.01%), Kumelembuay village (76.58%), Wailan village (73.37%) and the lowest in the Kakaskasen Two village (71.94%).  Key word : Cabbage, Plutella xylostella, Diadegma semiclausum

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe research aimed to damage cacao seed of is cacao moth (C. cramerella Snellen) was carried plants cocoa in the village Muntoi and village Solimandungan.The research was carried two village : (1) Muntoi (2) Solimandungan. To find out damage cacao seed of cacao moth attack to do is cacao fruit fission with figuring quantity damaged seed, and quantity healthy seed. quantity cacao fruit gaze have a lot of 25 fruit from to each sample location and by dividing 4 repetetion with interval harvesting 1 month that starts from November 2015 to February 2016. The research in use purposive sampling (sampling was by randomly) with take fruit is ripeness with characterized shape of the fruit is yellow. Precentage of damaged seed cacao of is cacao moth in the village Muntoi 18,25 % and village Solimandungan 50,20%. Damaged seed was to fruit cacao to plants cacao in the village Muntoi and village Solimandungan because have a controller by pruning and garden sanitation.Keywords : C. cramerella, Cacao moth, Cacao.

Abstract

ABSTRAKThe research aims to find out: (1). The population of walang sangit pest in several rice varieties inTolotoyon village, Bolaang Mongondow Selatan Regency; (2). pest attack wit sangit on severalvarieties of rice in the village Tolotoyon Bolaang Mongondow Regency.The study was carried outin a rice-growing area owned by farmers in Tolotoyon Village, Bolaang Mongondow SelatanRegency. The duration of the study is 3 (three) months, from December 2019 to February 2020.Bandage using Random Group Design (RAK) with the treatment of rice plant varieties, namelyCiherang, Inpari 9, and Situ bagendiT and repeated three times. The research was conducted atthree locations, each measuring approximately one (1) hectare. Each location planted one variety.Sampling was conducted three (3) times. Sampling is carried out on plants that are ten weeks oldwith a retrieval interval of one (1) week. Parameter the number of nymphs and image caught.Observation of the intensity of pest attacks is carried out visually based on the symptoms ofWalang Sangit attack on the malaise of rice crops. Observations are made on generative phase riceplants. Parameter the number of malaises affected. The results showed that the highest walangsangit pest population was found in the Ciherang variety of 6.8 Walang Sangits, followed by Inpari9 which is 5.6 Walang Sangits and the lowest in Situ bagendit which is 3.1 The yield on walangsangit pest attacks on inpari varieties was 7.0 percent, followed by Ciherang 6.1 percent, whileSitu Bagendit 3.1 percent.The difference in population and intensity of Walang Sangit pest attackson some varieties of rice crops, caused by the character of rice crops, such as the number of shootsand the color of grain.Keywords : Rice varieties,Leptocorisa Oratorius, population, and intensity
