ANALYSIS OF THIOBARBITURIC ACID AND BENZO(α) PYRENE VALUE OF SMOKED NILE TILAPIA (Oreochromis niloticus) USING DIFFERENTLIQUID SMOKES Fronthea Swastawati; Titi Surti; Dwi Apriliani

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to find the different  influence of corn cob (LSA) and coconut shells (LSB) liquid smokes to the changing of thiobarbituric acid (TBA) value, benzo(α)pyrene (BP), and organoleptic value of the smoked nile tilapia during storage. The result indicated that the smoked nile tilapia which used liquid smoke corn cob had higher organoleptic value than using coconut shells. The result of organoleptic 8.60 (LSAH0), 8.24 (LSBH0), 8.02 (LSAH5), 7.88 (LSBH5), 4.91 (LSAH10), 4.56 (LSBH10) and were rejected on 10 days storage. The smoked nile  Tilapia which was processed using liquid smoke of corn cob (LSA) and vacuum packed had higher organoleptic value than those which were processed by liquid smoke of coconut shells (LSB) during  the storage. The different of liquid smoked gave very significant effect to TBA value (P<0.01). The duration of storage gave very significant effect to TBA value (P<0.01). The interaction between liquid smoke and duration of storage gave very significant effect (P<0.01) at 10th, 5th days, whereas at 0 day did not give very significant effect (P>0.01). TBA value of smoked nile tilapia using liquid smoke of corn cob (LSA) higher than using liquid smoke of coconut shells (LSB) for each storage (LSAH0 : 0.76; LSBH0 : 0.74; LSAH5 : 1.02; LSBH5 : 0.95; LSAH10 : 1.42; LSBH10 : 1.32). The result on polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) of smoked nile tilapia using corn cob and coconut shells liquid smoke showed that there was no benzo(α)pyrene detected.

Abstract

Pisang shrimp shells are one of the most fisheries waste can be utilized as chitosan because it contains lots of chitin. In addition, Pisang shrimp is also an endemic shrimp species in Aceh, so research data related to its use as chitosan is still very limited. Isolation chitin compound by using 2 stages. The stages are demineralization and deproteination. The demineralization with 1 N HCl solution, ratio (1:12) w/v for 120 hours, and then the second demineralization reaction with 1 N HCl (1:5) w/v for 20 hours. deproteinization reaction used 3 N NaOH solution (1:10) w/v, at 90 ºC for 1 hour with 50 rpm. Reaction transformation chitin into chitosan using NaOH 50 % (1:10) w/v, at 120ºC, for 10 hours with 1000 rpm. Pisang shrimp shells that used as raw material were milled to uniform size of the sifted flour using a sieve of 100 mesh sieve. Pisang shrimp shells flour has characterized, water content 0.75 %; ash content 32.48 %; fat 2.12 % and N-total 34,13 %. The quality of chitosan were ash content 0.72 %; N-total 2.73 %, the degree of deacetylation 76 % and the yield of chitosan obtained was 23.6 %. the yield was calculated based on the chitosan produced from the amount of pisang shrimp shell flour used

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mengetahui mekanisme pemberian mut’ah dari perceraian qobla al dukhul berdasarkan UU No. 1 Tahun 1974 tentang Perkawinan, Kompilasi Hukum Islam, dan UU No. 48 Tahun 2009 tentang Kekuasaan Kehakiman dalam putusan No. 1518/Pdt.G/ 2020/PA.Sit dan (2) mengetahui pertimbangan hakim dalam memutuskan perkara pemberian mut’ah dari perceraian qobla al dukhul pada putusan No. 1518/Pdt.G/2020/PA. Sit. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian yuridis normatif. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah pendekatan perundang-undangan, konseptual, dan kasus. Sumber bahan hukum yang digunakan adalah bahan hukum primer, sekunder, dan tersier dengan teknik pengumpulan studi kepustakaan (library research). Bahan hukum yang telah terkumpul kemudian diolah dan dianalisis secara kualitatif, yakni mengambil kesimpulan berdasarkan pemikiran secara logis dari studi kepustakaan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa (1) mekanisme pemberian mut’ah dari perceraian qobla al dukhul, jika ditinjau dari UU Perkawinan, dinyatakan dalam Pasal 41 huruf (c), bahwa “Pengadilan dapat mewajibkan kepada bekas suami untuk memberikan biaya penghidupan kepada bekas istri”, jika ditinjau dari KHI dalam Pasal 159, yakni “mut’ah sunnah diberikan oleh bekas suami tanpa syarat”, serta jika ditinjau dari UU Kekuasaan Kehakiman Pasal 5 ayat (1), dimana Hakim mempunyai kekuasaan untuk memutuskan suatu hukum, maka dengan putusan memberikan mut’ah kepada istri ini tidak bertentangan dengan hukum apapun dengan pertimbangan yang berdasar untuk memberikan kemaslahatan kepada para pihak dan (2) pertimbangan hakim pada putusan No.1518/Pdt.G/2020/ PA.Sit, dalam memutuskan pemberian mut’ah, Hakim berpendapat tergugat disunnahkan memberikan mut’ah kepada penggugat sesuai dengan kepatutan dan kemampuan tergugat, hal ini telah sejalan dengan Al-Qur’an surah Al-Baqarah ayat 241.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the application of the Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) approach in enhancing learning outcomes and critical thinking skills of vocational high school students in the culinary department, specifically in the subject of Indonesian Cake and Pastry Production (PCKI) on the topic of Indonesian cake classification. The research employed a pre-experimental design with a one group pre-test post-test model, involving 33 students of class XI WU PB at SMKN 1 Buduran, East Java. Data were collected through essay tests and observation questionnaires, analyzed using percentage of learning mastery and critical thinking level qualification techniques. The results showed an increase in classical mastery from 45.4% in the pre-cycle to 60.6% in cycle I and 78.8% in cycle II. Critical thinking skills also improved, with the percentage of students in the "Very Critical" and "Critical" categories increasing by 9% and 6%, respectively, in cycle II. The CRT approach, which integrates local culture, has proven effective in creating meaningful learning, improving learning outcomes, and enhancing critical thinking skills. The PCKI subject is essential for culinary vocational students to prepare them as competent workers capable of preserving and promoting traditional Indonesian cakes in the culinary industry.

Abstract

The development of digital technology has opened new opportunities in the world of entrepreneurship, particularly through the use of social media. This study aims to examine how Instagram and Facebook are utilized as sales platforms for hampers by Nings Kios, a reseller business based in Palu City. This research employs a qualitative method with a case study approach. Data was collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation of the business owner. The findings indicate that Nings Kios uses Instagram and Facebook as primary tools for product promotion, building customer relationships, and effectively expanding market reach. Features such as Instagram Stories, Feed, and Facebook posts are leveraged to enhance product appeal and streamline interaction and transaction processes. This demonstrates that the strategic use of social media can increase audience reach and sales, even when managed by a single individual with limited resources. This study provides a real-world illustration of how small business owners in urban areas like Palu City can utilize social media as an effective entrepreneurial tool.
