Abstract

Barium Strontium Titanate (BST) thin film on the substrate glass was successfully fabricated by using sol-gel method. The purpose of this research is to obtain optical energy band gap value by adopting Tauc plot method with various composition and temperature. Obtaining of such information could be through identifying the degree of absorbance, degree of transmittance, the extent of refractive index, the usage of thin film and its quantified coefficients. Subsequently, the optical properties of thin film are characterized by using Ultraviolet-Visible Spectrophotometer with a thin film of Ba1-xSrxTiO3 subjected to temperatures of 650ºC. Upon subjected to temperature stated above, the wide energy band gap optical thin film Ba0,6Sr0,4TiO3 is in the range of 2.0 eV for Ba0,5Sr0,5TiO3 is in the range of 1.55 eV and for Ba0,4Sr0,6TiO3 is in the range of 2.0 eV. Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has had a tremendous impact on various sectors of human life. The government has made various rules and policies in dealing with pandemics and the impacts they cause but are more top-down and common which often do not touch on substantive things in accordance with real conditions in the local community. On the contrary, local communities that better understand their environmental situation and conditions are often not involved in determining the rules and policies in addressing this pandemic. Kampung Tangguh as an effort by the community to survive during a pandemic is a form of local wisdom-based community involvement in the community itself in helping the government overcome the Covid-19 pandemic and the impact it causes. Using a qualitative approach through field reviews, interviews, and documentation studies, this paper illustrates the form of community participation in addressing the Covid-19 pandemic. From the results of this study, it is seen that people at the village level or the neighborhood where they live can actively participate together in overcoming the spread and impact of Covid-19.

Abstract

Research on the utilization of coconut shell biomass waste for clothes dryer technology based on Arduino Uno has been carried out using the experimental method. This Arduino Uno-based dryer technology uses biomass energy from coconut shells with a mass of 2,000 grams for thin clothes and 4,000 grams for thick clothes. Observations were made based on the amount of coconut shell mass and the type of clothing used at 10 minute intervals. The results for a mass of 2,000 grams of coconut shell reached the highest temperature value with an average source temperature of 61.32°C, an average temperature in the drying chamber of 54.53°C with a minimum humidity of 19.5%, while the results for a mass of 4,000 grams coconut shell reached the highest temperature value with an average source temperature of 100.46°C, an average temperature in the drying chamber of 94.62°C with a minimum humidity of 21.1%.

Abstract

Biomass dryer (BD) was a useful device to improve the time efficiency of drying activities in traditional systems. The fuel source of biomass can be obtained from agricultural wastes, such as corn cobs and coconut shells. The classic problem of BD is the inhomogeneous temperature inside the chambers, which leads to damage to the product if the air circulation is not controlled. This study utilizes an electronic controller to automatically manage airflow by a fan and open the window to obtain a homogenous temperature in each chamber. The window will be opened instantly if the temperature inside the chambers exceeding 46°C. This testing sample product is a cracker, locally called ‘krupuk’.  Cracker is made from tapioca flour and dried for several days after cutting processes. Our previous test successfully improves time efficiency in drying the post-harvest agricultural product. The proposed dryer consists of cabinet with 3 chambers, an open fire drum, a couple of automatic windows, and an electronic board as a controller. The resulting test shows a homogenous temperature average for the 3 chambers is 50°C.

Abstract

Pare (Momordica charantia) merupakan tanaman yamng memiliki banyak khasiat sebagi obat herbal yang memiliki senyawa kimia seperti saponin, tanin, flavonoid, karantin dan senya kimia lainnya. Kunyit (Curcuma longa) adalah tanaman yang memiliki kandungan senyawa kimia yang terdiri dari kurkumin dan minyak atsiri yang dapat menangkal senyawa-senyawa radikal bebas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektifitas kombinasi ekstrak daun pare dan kunyit sebagai hepatoprotektor dan menentukan pada kosentrasi berapa kombinasi ekstrak daun pare dan kunyit efektif sebagai hepatoprotektor. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian eksperimen laboratorium. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa kosentrasi yang efektif sebagai hepatoprotektor adalah kelompok PI dengan kosentrasi 10% dengan nilai 0,05. Hasil penelitian ini layak digunakan sebagai media pembelajajaran berupa penuntun praktikum dengan rata-rata presentase kelayakan sebesar 67,343%

Abstract

The study was done to analyze the results of the filtration system of deep pearl housing groundwater using slow sand filtration methods. The analysis is based on the physical and chemical parameters of color/frequency, pH, iron and Escherichia coli with variations in coagulant, clay and alloy. The color/frequency of frequency before filtration has a value of 16.9 NTU, after value filtration declines 0.6%. The phasing of water before filtration was acid 6, having done filtration the pH of water down to 5.8 but had not reached a normal limit (6.5 – 8.5), so slow sand filters had not been effective in curbing the pH of water. The content of iron metals (Fe) before filtration was 0.1867 mg/l, after being made filtrating the content of iron metals (Fe) on the water was down to 0.021 mg/l. The content of Escherichia coli before filtration was 7 CFU / 100 ml, after exfiltration of the Escherichia coli content was reduced to zero CFU / 100 ml. The study suggests that slow sand filters use variations in coagulating and clay materials are effective in improving the quality of the groundwater in the high-yield housing projects.

Abstract

Dalam rangka upaya penyelamatan lingkungan di Desa Sekat Baru, Kecamatan Bantan, Kabupaten Bengkalis, kegiatan pembinaan dan pengelolaan lingkungan difokuskan pada penguatan kapasitas pemerintah desa dan masyarakat, khususnya mereka yang tergabung dalam kelompok peduli kebakaran. Program ini bertujuan untuk membekali mereka dengan pengetahuan dan keterampilan yang diperlukan untuk mengelola dan menjaga lingkungan sekitar secara lebih efektif, serta memitigasi dampak dari kebakaran hutan dan lahan yang sering terjadi di wilayah tersebut. Kegiatan pembinaan ini dilaksanakan dengan pendekatan metodologi yang mengutamakan keterlibatan aktif peserta. Salah satu metode yang digunakan adalah ceramah, yang menjadi sarana untuk menyampaikan pengetahuan dasar terkait pengelolaan lingkungan yang berkelanjutan.
