Abstract

This research aims to investigate the meaning of directive speech acts uttered by the character Jiro Horikoshi and describe the responses of interlocutors to the utterances made by the character Jiro Horikoshi in the film "Kaze Tachinu" ("The Wind Rises"). This research falls under qualitative descriptive research, and the source of data used consists of dialogues spoken by the characters in the film "Kaze Tachinu." The method employed in this research is observation and note-taking. The data collected is then analyzed using the theory of directive speech acts by Namatame and the theory of responses by Harvey and Smith. The results of this research include 37 instances of directive utterances, with details as follows: 15 instances of command (meirei), 12 instances of request (irai), 6 instances of prohibition (kinshi), 1 instance of permission (kyoka), and 3 instances of advice (teian). The responses from interlocutors vary between positive and negative responses.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the formation and meaning of kanji which have the sanzui element bushu sanzui on Japanese online news sites. The data source used is primary data in the form of kanji letters on the site https://www3.nhk.or.jp/news/special/saigai/natural- disaster/natural-disaster_23.html. The method used is the library method. The data obtained was then analyzed using theory of Rikusho and theory of semantic. The results of this research obtained 18 data, but 5 data will be studied thaat is kanji 海(umi)、活(katsu)、波(nami)、潮 (shio)、港(minato). With detailed data, namely kai moji 3 data, keisei moji 2 data and all the data that has been researched contains lexical meaning. The kanji that have been researched have real meanings according to their formation.Keywords: formation, meaning, kanji, sanzui

Abstract

This study aims to determine the personality of Hiiragi Takayuki using Sigmund Freud's Psychoanalytic theory in the novel Real Face. This study used descriptive qualitative method. The primary data source of this research is the novel Real Face. The data obtained were analyzed using psychoanalytic theory, namely id, ego, super ego. The method used in this study uses the listen and note method. For the presentation of the data, an informal method was used, namely data in the form of dialogues and Japanese narration which were translated into Indonesian. The results show that the personality theory experienced by the character Kagura Seiichiro is, the id is shown through Kagura's desire to achieve her wish, the ego is shown to arise when Kagura's conscience wants to refuse, the super ego arises when Kagura Seiichiro thinks that the proposal offered by Hiiragi is unreasonable.

Abstract

This thesis discusses the personality and inner conflict of the main character in the Tokyo Ghoul anime by Sui Ishida. The theory used is Sigumnd Freud's psychoanalytic personality theory and Kurt Lewin's psychoanalysis. Data collection methods and techniques used in this study are the listening method and the note-taking technique. Methods and techniques of data analysis using descriptive qualitative method. Meanwhile, the methods and techniques for presenting the results of data analysis using informal methods. The results of the analysis in this thesis, it was found that the dominant personality possessed by Kaneki's character is the aspect of the superego. Able to make Kaneki able to judge which things are good and which are bad in the midst of temptation from id. The ego has tried several times to realize the wishes of the id but the superego can always mediate between the id and the ego but over time and the many conflicts experienced by Kaneki make his personality begin to change into a cold person.

Abstract

This research discussed about gyaru a sub-fashion that is growing in Japan. The purpose of this research is to find out the perspective of the youth in Japan towards gyaru fashion. Data was collected through a field research method by distributing questionnaires such as a Google Form to 15 Japanese youth with an age range of 20-30 years. Analysis of data in this research uses a qualitative descriptive method which will be presented in a narrative description. Theory used in this research is Globalization Theory according to Ritzer. The result obtained from this study are that Japanese youth consider that gyaru is one of the fashion trends used to express themselves. Although gyaru is popular in Japan, it cannot represent Japan in general because there are many cultures that are more appropriate as symbols of Japan. In addition, gyaru is not an original Japanese culture but a culture influenced by western culture that entered Japan. gyaru will remain popular in the future as it is accepted by many people, even children are starting to wear the gyaru trend. Not only that, many Japanese celebrities have been seen wearing gyaru trend recently on various TV show in Japan.
