Abstrak Literasi secara umum dipahami sebagai kemampuan seseorang dalam membaca, menulis, dan memahami teks. Namun saat ini kata literasi memiliki makna yang lebih luas sejalan berkembangnya pengetahun dan teknologi terutama teknologi informasi dan komunikasi. Literasi tidak lagi hanya sebatas kemampuan membaca dan menulis namun melibatkan kemampuan memahami, menafsirkan, dan menerapkan informasi dari berbagai sumber dan format. Ada beberapa hal terkait pentingnya meningkatkan literasi, yaitu: pemberdayaan individu, partisipasi sosial, pengembangan ekonomi, pengembangan budaya dan identitas. Kegiatan Pengabdian Pada Masyarakat (P2M) Prodi Pendidikan Bahasa Prancis UNJ dilandasi pemahaman mengenai literasi yang berkembang saat ini. Kegiatan ini memberikan dampak yang positif terhadap masyarakat terutama pada anak remaja usia antara 15-19 tahun yang ada di daerah Parung Panjang Bogor. Selama kegiatan P2M, anak-anak remaja daerah Parung Panajng sangat antusias dan aktif dalam mengikuti seluruh rangkaian kegiatan. Bahkan mereka merasa waktu pelaksanaan P2M masih sangat kurang sehingga mereka dengan berat hati harus menyelesaikan kegiatan ini. Proses belajar mengenal bahasa dan budaya Prancis mereka anggap sangat menarik dan memotivasi mereka untuk belajar. Mereka kini memahami potensi diri mereka sendiri dan lingkungan mereka. Dalam proses belajar bahasa dan budaya Prancis mereka juga belajar memahami budaya lingkungannya dan budaya asing (Prancis). Abstract Literacy is generally understood as a person's ability to read, write, and understand text. However, the word literacy has a broader meaning in line with the development of knowledge and technology, especially information and communication technology. Literacy is no longer limited to the ability to read and write but involves the ability to understand, interpret, and apply information from various sources and formats. There are several things related to the importance of improving literacy, namely: individual empowerment, social participation, economic development, cultural and identity development. The Community Service (P2M) activities of the French Language Education Study Program at UNJ are based on the current understanding of literacy. This activity has a positive impact on the community, especially teenagers aged 15-19 years in the Parung Panjang area of Bogor. During the P2M activities, the teenagers in the Parung Panjang area were very enthusiastic and actively participated in all series of ctivities. In fact, they felt that the P2M implementation time was still very limited, so they reluctantly had to complete this activity. They found the process of learning about French language and culture very interesting and motivated them to learn. They now understand the potential of themselves and their environment. In the process of learning French language and culture, they also learn to understand the culture of their environment and foreign cultures (French).
