Abstract

Adaptation depends on the structure or physical behavior of an individual that increases his ability to survive in his habitat. Whatever helps him survive in the environment he occupies includes the cultural and social community. Remembering adaptation refers to the ability to adapt to various conditions in their environment. This study aims to analyze the cultural adaptation and social adaptation of ethnic Chinese communities in theory and practice. Then clarify the important role that culture plays in enabling adaptation, and show how community-based cultural and social adaptation is well placed. Besides that it also measures the typical starting point of good community development by emphasizing community participation, kinship systems, individual welfare, culture, community and adaptation. For this reason, in particular this research relies on thoughts that have emerged from observations about the cultural and social role of society in individual lives. The results of this study indicate that the Chinese ethnic has been able to adapt to the cultural and social adaptation of the community well in the city of Palembang. This ability can be seen from the socio-economic life, society and culture of ethnic Chinese who are able to survive with the capital of developing business ventures and working in the political field. In addition, the Chinese are also able to adapt structurally and culturally by following the cultural and community development of Palembang City.kkan

Abstract

This study aims to determine how the use of social media as a medium of communication by public relations Medan city government). The results of the study show that: 1. Social media is very influential as a means of communication by the protocol and communication of the Medan City leadership, 2. Social media is very effectively used as a means of delivering information to the public, 3. There are no challenges faced as a protocol and communication for City leaders. Medan in using social media as a means of communication, 4. The existence of hoax news and differences of opinion are one of the inhibiting factors that occur as protocol and communication for Medan City leaders in conveying information, 5. The network is evenly distributed throughout the city of Medan, 6. The existence of hoax news and differences of opinion are also a challenge for the community in receiving information conveyed by the Public Relations of the Medan City Government through social media, 7. The community is also satisfied with the information obtained through social media.

Abstract

This study aims to find out how the representation gender inequality is represented and understand the meaning of the sign of the level of reality, representation, and gender ideology contained in the Dangal film. The theory which was used to explore this research is the theory of construction or injustice gender. The object of this research is the film Dangal 2016 which has a duration of 2 hours 41 minutes. The method used in this research is a qualitative method descriptive paradigm using John Fiske's semiotic analysis technique. Based on the results of the research studied by researchers in this film, they see meaning inferior which is described for women and superior meaning for men, this is illustrated in the struggle of two girls to keep living their lives even though their future is determined by the father. There are 13 scenes that show gender injustice in it. Delivery there is gender injustice in dangal films, namely by means of 3 levels the meaning of the sign, namely the Level of Reality, the Level of Representation and the Level of Ideology. So that in the end the meaning in this film is to change the opinion of society and defend the opinions and opinions of society against the values of patriarchal ideology.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk Mengetahui analisis Teknik Sinematografi Dalam Videoklip “Till We Meet Again” Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan jenis pendekatan deskriptif, yaitu dengan mengungkap fakta, keadaan, fenomena, dan variabel dalam sumber data primer kemudian menyuguhkan apa adanya. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini akan menganalisis dan mengklasifikasikan bagaimana teknik sinematografi yang digunakan dalam video klip “Till We Meet Again” melalui scene per scene dalam videoklip tersebut dengan menggunakan asas teknik sinematografi. Hasil analisis teknik sinematografi menunjukkan bahwa (1) Teknik sinematografi pada videoklip “Till We Meet Again” pada aspek camera angle menunjukkan bahwa videoklip ini lebih mengarah kepada camera angel subyektif. Menunjukkan terdapat 4 kali penggunaannya dalam adegan di videoklip. (2) Teknik sinematografi pada videoklip “Till We Meet Again” pada aspek level camera angle menunjukkan bahwa videoklip ini lebih mengarah kepada penggunaan level camera angle normal yang ditunjukkan pada aspek ini terdapat 4 pengambilan. (3) Teknik sinematografi pada videoklip “Till We Meet Again” pada aspek tipe shot menunjukkan bahwa video ini lebih mengarah kepada tipe shot close up yang ditampilkan ada 12 kali pengambilan menggunakan tipe shot ini. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the contents of the indictment message on the Instagram account @syafiqrizabasalamah_official and the use of Instagram media as a da'wah media. This study uses a descriptive qualitative research method. The theory used in this research is the theory of the message of Jalaluddin Rakhmat's message. Data collection techniques are carried out by observation and documentation. The results of this study indicate that there are 15 da'wah posts for the period 1-26 September 2022 which the researchers have analyzed. Of these, it was found that there were 5 posts of aqidah preaching, 5 posts of moral preaching and 5 posts of sharia preaching. Researchers also consider that Instagram is quite effective as a medium for preaching, especially for those who cannot attend science assemblies.

Abstract

Remaja adalah salah satu kelompok yang paling rentan saat menggunakan internet. Salah satu dampak negatif penggunaan media sosial adalah cyberbullying. Cyberbullying dapat dilihat dalam bentuk agresi, pelecehan, penghinaan, ketidakmanusiawian, toksisitas, pelecehan verbal. rasisme, seksisme, hasutan untuk melakukan kekerasan, ujaran kebencian, ancaman, atau kombinasinya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap dampak dari adanya cyberbullying di media sosial dan perilaku reaktif remaja yang ditimbulkan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian yakni  fenomenologi. Informan penelitian ini yakni remaja di desa Sei Rotan, sebanyak 20 orang yang diidentifikasi dengan teknik purposive sampling. Uji keabsahan datanya dilakukan dengan triangulasi data. Hasil penelitian ditemukan bahwa 12 informan yang diperoleh mengalami cyberbullying dan menunjukkan perilaku reaktif yang bersikap apatis ketika hal tersebut terjadi pada diri sendiri, namun ketika terjadi pada temannya, mereka cenderung bertindak. Disamping itu, cyberbullying yang mereka terima berlanjut pada bullying yang terjadi disekolah.

Abstract

This study discusses the effect of communication between teachers and students on learning interactions through virtual classes at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 Medan. The background of this research is that the success of the teaching and learning process is determined by the teacher factor. The teacher's task is to convey subject matter to students through communication interactions in the teaching and learning process that he does. The success of the teacher in delivering the material really depends on the smooth interaction of communication between the teacher and his students. The lack of communication has an impact on the message conveyed by the teacher. To achieve teaching and learning interactions, it is necessary to have clear communication between teachers (communicators) and students (communicants). So that students can be successful in their learning tasks, as well as teachers can successfully teach and educate in accordance with the goals to be achieved. This study uses simple linear regression data analysis which aims to determine whether there is an influence between teacher and student communication on learning interactions through virtual classes. Data collection techniques with the method of documentation and questionnaires. The questionnaire method was used to determine the level of communication between teachers and students on learning interactions through virtual classes. Based on the results of this study, it is hoped that it can provide information and input for teachers and students that communication in education is very important and has a good effect on learning interactions through students' virtual classes.

Abstract

This research is entitled Organizational Communication Patterns in Improving Employee Performance at the Energy and Mineral Resources Office of North Sumatra Province. The purpose of this study was to determine how organizational communication patterns can improve employee performance at the Energy and Mineral Resources Office of North Sumatra Province. The results showed that (1) The Energy and Mineral Resources Office of North Sumatra Province uses a wheel communication pattern in which the head of the department provides information through oral communication during routine meetings and writing in the form of letters or information submitted in Whatsapp groups consisting of all employees. (2) for the performance of employees is classified as good because the quantity of all employees in completing the task is in accordance with the set target, then the quality of the workers is classified as good even though there are limited human resources, discipline, craftsmanship, and cooperation between employees is classified as good. (3) the communication pattern that can improve employee performance is the Y communication pattern because only the head of the department and the head of the field / section conduct meetings so that other employees can continue to do their respective duties so that the quantity and quality of employee work is maintained and more effective because the information conveyed by the head of the department during the meeting can be conveyed back from the head of the field / section to the employees in the field / section.

Abstract

During this time, the Internet has had a huge impact on people's lives. The rapid development of technology has made it very easy for people to access everything in the world. Thanks to the Internet and mass media, parents and young people alike have access to information quickly and easily. The purpose of this study is to examine how online media formulate the messages they write. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach. This research targeted two web-based media, namely Tribun-Medan.Com and Kompas.Tv, and the research topic was sexual violence against children under 12 in Medan city. Research has shown differences and similarities, especially in the structure of the scripts, i.e. the 5W + 1H elements. In addition, there are differences in title choice between the two media, such as the use of different words and languages.
