Abstract

This article aims to find out design research and explore the potential for developing local culture-based learning methods for elementary school students in Kebumen district. This paper describes the concept of ethnomathematics-based design research at SD N Tambaksari, Kebumen Regency, Central Java in improving literacy and numeracy skills. Literacy and numeracy skills are indicators that need to be strengthened. The basic research design used is a research design that describes learning activities using local culture-based learning media or games with corn plants. The media used is by using food culture in the form of corn with abundant availability. The use of corn seeds is used by 2nd grade students of SD N Tambaksari to learn arithmetic operations. There are two aspects to be considered in this activity, namely literacy and numeracy. At the time of learning students are also invited to observe learning videos about arithmetic operations for further Based on these activities students are more active in participating in learning. Learning based on local food culture that can be applied in campus teaching programs to strengthen the literacy and numeracy aspects of students. Abstract

An independent learning curriculum that emphasizes culture is needed to recognize more deeply about the culture around and in Indonesia. In this era significant changes occurred in the curriculum, leading to the development of more specific skills and a focus on technology and innovation. Ethnomathematics is one of the learning approaches that relates local culture in mathematics learning. There is a need to develop teaching materials that can improve mathematical skills in students and can be easily understood in accordance with presenting social and cultural skills in their area. Researchers raised the issue of local culture, especially the traditional food Lepet Ketan to be used as a learning resource through ethnomathematical studies in it. To be clearer, the author here will examine the relationship between each form of food type and mathematical elements. This research is a type of research and development R&D (Research and Development) using the ADDIE development model. The data analysis technique used is a qualitative descriptive data analysis technique using an assessment instrument in the form of a questionnaire involving Media Experts and Material Experts Based on the data obtained through the questionnaire assessment sheet, it can be said that the module is suitable for use. The ethnomathematics-based mathematics module on the flat building material developed is Very Feasible based on validity criteria according to the validator's assessment. Based on the results of the validation of material experts, a percentage of 98%, media experts 98%.

Abstract

Media pembelajaran yang digunakan di sekolah umumnya masih terbatas pada buku cetak dan penjelasan guru, sehingga membuat siswa cenderung pasif serta mengalami kesulitan dalam memahami konsep terutama pada pembelajaran matematika. Dengan demikian, penting untuk mendesain media pembelajaran yang memanfaatkan perkembangan teknologi sehingga mudah diakses oleh siswa, serta dapat digunakan kapan saja dan dimana saja. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendesain E-Modul interaktif dengan pendekatan etnomatematika Rumah Adat Joglo Blora pada materi Transformasi Geometri kelas XI. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) dengan model pengembangan 4D yang berfokus pada tahap Design, dan Development. Teknik analisis data dilakukan melalui analisis validasi ahli media dan ahli materi. Penelitian ini menghasilkan desain E-modul interaktif beserta validasi dari ahli media dan materi yang menunjukkan bahwa E-Modul memperoleh rata-rata penilaian dari ahli media sebesar 3,71 dan ahli materi sebesar 3,9, dengan rata-rata keseluruhan 3,81 yang tergolong kategori sangat valid. E-Modul interaktif ini diharapkan dapat membantu siswa dalam memahami materi pembelajaran. Penulis menyarankan bahwa media pembelajaran yang telah didesain dapat diujicobakan oleh siswa dan dapat dilakukan penelitian lanjutan untuk mengetahui efektivitas media pembelajaran yang telah didesain.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi keefektifan penerapan model pembelajaran open ended dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar peserta didik pada berbagai jenjang pendidikan dengan menggunakan metode Systematic Literature Review (SLR) yang mengacu pada standar PRISMA. Proses penelusuran literatur dilakukan melalui sejumlah basis data bereputasi, yaitu Google Scholar, Scopus, ScienceDirect, dan Garuda, dengan rentang publikasi artikel dari tahun 2021 hingga 2024.  Dari total 50 artikel yang teridentifikasi, terpilih 10 artikel relevan yang memenuhi kriteria seleksi. Hasil analisis menunjukkan tren peningkatan publikasi pada periode tersebut, dengan dominasi pada mata pelajaran matematika tingkat SD (40%) dan penggunaan metode kuantitatif (80%). Temuan mengonfirmasi bahwa aktivitas eksploratif dalam model open-ended secara efektif membangun kepercayaan diri dan motivasi siswa. Namun, studi kualitatif lebih lanjut di berbagai jenjang masih sangat diperlukan untuk memperkaya perspektif mengenai efektivitas model ini.

Abstract

Students' low problem-solving ability remains a problem in education. This study examines the effect of using PBL and STEM-based e-modules on mathematical problem-solving abilities in elementary to high school students focused on mathematics. The aim is to determine whether the e-modules used affect students' mathematical problem-solving abilities. The method used in this study is a system literature review (SLR) by reviewing articles from Google Scholar and Knowledge Maps sources from 2020 to 2025. The review process includes three stages: planning, implementation, and reporting. The results show that E-modules that integrate the PBL model, the STEM approach, or a combination of both are effective in improving students' ability to solve mathematical problems. These findings indicate that an innovative, student-centered learning model facilitated by e-modules is a potential strategy to address the challenges of problem-solving abilities in mathematics education.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh model pembelajaran open ended berbasis etnomatematika yang terintegrasi dengan e-modul interaktif terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa kelas IX SMP pada materi Sistem Persamaan Linear Dua Variabel (SPLDV). Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain Pretest-Posttest Control Group, melibatkan 60 siswa yang dipilih secara acak dari populasi 180 siswa. Kelompok eksperimen diberikan perlakuan melalui model open ended berbantuan e-modul berbasis etnomatematika, sedangkan kelompok kontrol menerima pembelajaran konvensional. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah, angket motivasi, observasi, dan dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, uji-t, serta penghitungan effect size Cohen’s d. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata skor posttest kelas eksperimen sebesar 86,37, lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelas kontrol yang memperoleh 80,60. Hasil uji-t menunjukkan t_hitung = 2,202 > t_tabel = 2,00172, sehingga terdapat perbedaan signifikan antara kedua kelompok. Nilai effect size Cohen’s d = 0,57 termasuk kategori sedang, yang menunjukkan pengaruh positif model pembelajaran ini terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa. Temuan ini memberikan kontribusi ilmiah dengan membuktikan efektivitas integrasi model open ended, media digital, dan pendekatan budaya lokal dalam pembelajaran matematika berbasis indikator NCTM. Secara teoretis, penelitian ini memperkuat pendekatan konstruktivistik dan pembelajaran kontekstual, sedangkan secara praktis, hasil ini menegaskan bahwa guru matematika dapat memanfaatkan model open ended berbasis etnomatematika untuk meningkatkan keterlibatan, motivasi, kreativitas, dan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Meskipun pengaruhnya sedang, penerapan jangka panjang diharapkan dapat memperkuat hasil pembelajaran dan generalisasi temuan.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the spatial abilities of students with visual, auditory, and kinesthetic learning styles. The type of research used in this study is qualitative descriptive research. The research subjects consisted of 21 students in class VIII, MTs Al Hidayah Sadeng, Semarang. Data collection techniques include tests, anchors, and interviews. The results of this study showed that students with high spatial and moderate visual and auditory learning styles were able to understand the problem by explaining what was known and being asked correctly. And it's able to relate concepts so that it can find the right formula and solve the given problem correctly and precisely. Meanwhile, students with moderate abilities and a kinetic learning style are only able to write down what is known and asked. And yet it has not been able to relate concepts so that it cannot find the right formula and not solve the given problem properly and precisely. While students with low spatial abilities with visual and kinesthetic learning styles are able to write down what is known and asked, subjects with auditory learning styles write but are less precise. Students with visual, auditory, and kinesthetic learning styles have not been able to relate concepts, so they have not been able to find the right formula and cannot solve the given problem correctly and precisely. Students with high spatial, medium, or low abilities cannot describe objects based on what is known and asked.
