Abstract

Peningkatan performa sebuah mesin sepeda motor untuk keperluan tertentu terkadang sering dilakukan oleh orang-orang yang hobi menggunakan sepeda motor. Sebelum memodifikasi mesin sepeda motor hendaklah terlebi dahulu tahu kekurangan dan kelebihannya, agar tidak berakibat fatal. Dalam perhitungan matematis modifikasi akan berpengaruh dalam beberapa hal. Perubahan tersebut antara lain terjadinya penurunan tekanan sebesar akibat dari pembesaran volume di dalam silinder tetapi tekanan kompresi akan bertambah. Akan meningkatkan daya efektif sebesar 9,2% dibanding dengan daya efektif yang dihasilkan motor standar dan meningkatkan daya indicator sebesar 9,7%. Tekanan efektif rata-rata yang dihasilkan motor modifikasi lebih kecil 0,5% dari tekanan efektif rata-rata yang dihasilkan motor standar. Adanya perbedaan pemakaian bahan bakar dari kedua motor, pada motor standar lebih rendah pemakaian bahan bakarnya, yaitu sebesar 10%.

Abstract

Desa Sampalan merupakan salah satu desa yang ada di Kecamatan Kutawaluya, Kabupaten Karawang, Provinsi Jawa barat, Indonesia. UMKM merupakan salah satu tonggak perekonomian masyarakat setempat. Meskipun pada kenyataannya sebagian besar usaha UMKM masih berjalan ala kadarnya dan masih skala kecil, namun tidak dapat dipungkiri jika sektor UMKM ini sangat berperan bagi perekonomian masyarakat setempat. Peternakan ayam broiler atau ayam potong, di desa Sampalan sendiri terbilang cukup besar dan juga hasil panen dari peternakan ayam broiler ini menjadi salah satu pemasok kebutuhan daging ayam Kabupaten Karawang sehingga bias memasok ayam ke DKI Jakarta dan Jawa Barat khususnya. Permintaan yang cukup besar menjadikan peternakan ayam broiler di desa Sampalan ini terus berkembang. Namun peternakan ayam yang sudah ada ini belum dapat maksimal mensejahterakan masyarakat yang ada di desa Sampalan. Sumber daya yang ada saat ini yang menjadi potensi ekonomi yang unggul adalah di bidang pertanian dan dengan beberapa produk yang dihasilkan, meliputi: Padi, peternakan kambing, bebek, ayam broiler, telur asin dan yang lainnya. Berdasarkan situasi dan kondisi data desa diatas maka dengan Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi potensi dan kendala yang dimiliki desa dengan anaslisis SWOT. Analisis SWOT bertujuan untuk mengetahui kekuatan dan kelemahan serta kesmpatan dan ancaman yang dimiliki desa. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan rendahnya tingkat ekonomi pada masyarakat yang diakibatkan kurangnya pengelolaan hasil pertenakanayam boiler atau ayam potong. Sampalan Village is one of the villages in Kutawaluya District, Karawang Regency, West Java Province, Indonesia. UMKM is one of the pillars of the local community's economy. Even though in fact most of the MSME businesses are still running perfunctorily and are still on a small scale, it cannot be denied that the MSME sector plays a very important role in the economy of the local community. The broiler chicken farm or broiler chicken, in Sampalan village itself is quite large and also the yield from the broiler chicken farm is one of the suppliers of chicken meat needs in Karawang Regency so that it can supply chicken to DKI Jakarta and West Java in particular. The demand is large enough to make the broiler chicken farm in Sampalan village continue to grow. However, the existing chicken farm has not been able to maximize the welfare of the people in Sampalan village. The current resources that have a superior economic potential are in the field of agriculture and with several products produced, including: Rice, goat, duck, broiler chickens, salted eggs and others. Based on the situation and condition of the village data above, this study aims to identify the potential and constraints that the village has with a SWOT analysis. The SWOT analysis aims to determine the strengths and weaknesses as well as the opportunities and threats that the village has. The results of this study indicate the low level of the economy in the community due to a lack of management of boiler or broiler farming. Abstract

Indonesia produced about 31.2 million metric tons of garbage in 2021. Roughly 87.1% of the total waste is comprised-evaluated of plastic waste. Plastic waste takes a very long time to break down in the environment. It took decades for trash made of plastic to decompose. Disorganized waste management at the landfill is a significant source of plastics-related problems. In order to reuse plastic garbage, it must be crushed up first before the recycling process. The primary objective of the design process for the crushing plastic machine used to shred plastic waste was to maximize productivity. The design of the machine that crushes plastic waste was created and prepared with the help of computer-aided design (CAD) and computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) software. One thousand and zero millimeters in length, three hundred and twenty millimeters in width, and twelve hundred and sixty millimeters in height describe this machine for chopping up plastic trash. In terms of crushing time and capacity, variations in the rotational speed of 1000, 1100, and 1200 blades in revolution per minute were optimal. The optimal crushing time for 2 kg-HDPE plastic waste was 37 seconds at 1200 revolutions per minute, followed by 1100 revolutions per minute; 2 kg-HDPE plastic waste was crushed and evaluated. HDPE plastic wastes have typically crushed faster in less time than PET plastic wastes. It has been evaluated and validated for any setting variation operation involving the crushing speed. Three kilograms of HDPE plastic waste yielded an optimum crushing capacity of 194.4 kg/hour at 1200 revolutions per minute. Next, at 1200 revolutions per minute, 2 kg-HDPE plastic waste is crushed. HDPE plastic wastes are typically more effective to crush than PET plastic wastes, regardless of the crushing speed setting variation operations. As a result of this study, plastic waste is being put to better use, helping to cut down on overall plastic use in the plastic waste management

Abstract

This community service is a form of service or contribution to the community by collaborating on research and teaching that has been carried out in universities. The purpose of this activity is to provide an understanding for the community of the importance of innovating so that later it can be used as a place for entrepreneurship. The phenomena of the problems faced in this activity are human resources in the swamp flower plots that are not yet qualified for technological innovation activities. The method used is by observing activities that are often encountered, namely hydroponic. However, other innovations from hydroponics are needed, namely aquaponics with a slightly different method. With this difference, the related parties can get out of their comfort zone so that they can find a solution to the joint planting of kale. If further collaborated, then with the long term it can be relied on upon entrepreneurship.

Abstract

Cassava shredding machine has become an integral part of the modern food industry, facilitating the process of grating cassava quickly and efficiently. In this context, this study describes the design of a cassava grater machine that adopts a 220 V electric motor voltage as the main power source. In the design of this machine, the electric motor voltage of 220 V was selected with careful consideration of efficiency and performance. This report describes the main components of the machine, including the electric motor, special grater blades, frame and safety mechanism. Also described is the process of grating cassava which occurs through the rotation of an electric motor, giving smooth and consistent grating results. The advantages of using a 220 V electric motor voltage are revealed in this article, focusing on greater power and power stability. In the context of the food industry, these machines have the potential to increase the productivity and quality of the final product. This research contributes to further understanding of the utilization of 220 V electric motor voltage in the design of a cassava grater machine. Its potential implications in increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of the grating process and its impact in the food industry make this research relevant and valuable in the development of future food technolog
