Abstract

Abstract: This study looks at the comparative greeting kinship system with Malay language Banjar Guntung River. This study aimed to describe the system greeting relationship with the Malay language Banjar Guntung River. The method used in this research is descriptive method based on facts and data obtained in the field. Data collection for this research using interview techniques and information from informants and documentation techniques include. The results of the research I have discovered have shown in this study that the relationship greeting Malay language Banjar system and offer guidance to people who are bwlood relations penyapa greet directly or marriage.Keywords: Systems of designation of kinship, Banjar language and Malay

Abstract

ABSTRACTInterrogative utterances are very important in communicating. Interrogative utterances able to convey the message the author or speaker so that the reader or listener can receive the message as intended by the writer or speaker. The problems that I researched in this study is what are interrogative sentences used in SMS? how politeness used in SMS? and how the meaning of interrogative utterances in the SMS?. This study aims to analyze and describe the types of sentences, politeness, and the meaning of interrogative utterances in SMS language students of Indonesian language and literature education class of 2010. The method used in this research is descriptive method, a method that is used to explain the data obtained in the study as they are using the techniques of data collection, record, and documentation. The application of techniques and documentation noted that the SMS is used to collect research material was then analyzed according to the research problem. The results of the study there were 71 SMS interrogative sentences with the help of question words (what, who, how, and when), 50 SMS requesting recognition of interrogative sentences answer yes or no or yes or no, interrogative sentences 3 SMS requesting an answer in the form of reasons , 8 SMS interrogative sentences in the form of an opinion, and 10 SMS that confirmed the interrogative sentence. In terms of kesantunnanya there were 10 SMS and 15 SMS manners that are not polite. In terms of narrative meaning there are 16 SMS command meaning, the meaning of the solicitation SMS 7, 5 SMS the meaning of the request, meaning persilaan 1 and 1 SMS ban meaning. The results of this study indicate that the use of interrogative utterances in SMS language students of Indonesian language and literature education FKIP Riau University class of 2010 has not polite.Keyword: Interrogative utterances, SMS language.

Abstract

Abstract: This study is titled The Ability to Write the Descriptive Text the Students of Class VII of 4 Junior High School Pekanbaru. This study aims to describe the ability to write the descriptive text of students of class VII of 4 Junior High School Pekanbaru, to describe the different ability to write the descriptive text of the students of class VII of 4 Junior High School Pekanbaru between groups and samples. This study data is in the from of test result from the ability to write the descriptive text of the students of class VII of 4 Junior High School Pekanbaru which consisting of nine classes with population of 216 students and the sample numberis 140 students. The technique of data collection is by giving a test to the students by writing the descriptive text. To find out how high the ability to write the descriptive text of the students of class VII of 4 Junior High School Pekanbaru is calculated using the wilcoxon test. To now whether there is a mean difference between the sample groups is calculated using kruskall-wallis. Based on the study, it is obtained that 1. The ability to write the descriptive text is low. 2. The difference in the ability to write descriptive text between the sample groups is the same. It means that there is no difference in the ability to write descriptive text between the sample groups.Keywords: Ability, Writing, Text, Description

Abstract

Abstract: This article will describe the form and function of expressive speech acts found in the novel Sunset with Rosie by Tereliye. Speech acts belong to the branch of linguistics, namely pragmatics. Pragmatics is a branch of linguistics that examines and examines the structure of language, which is determined by the context and situation that form the basis of language usage and meaning study in each speaker. Voice Action is an action that uses the language that is used to convey the purpose of the speaker to the partner. Speech actions include speakers, listeners, readers, writers and discussed things. Speech acts are divided into locus, illocutionary and perlocution speech acts. Expressive speech acts are part of illocutionary speech acts. Expressive speech acts are speech acts that are spoken by speakers and intended as an evaluation of the things mentioned in the speech. The object selected in this study was the novel Sunset with Rosie by Tereliye. The novel was published in November 2011 with 426 pages. Abstract

Abstract : Amelioration is a change of meaning which results in a new meaning perceived as better value than the old meaning (raising meaning). The purpose of this research is to describe amelioration Batak Toba language. This type of research is qualitative research. In this study the author uses descriptive method. Descriptive method is a method that is done with the steps as follows: data collection, classifiers, analyze, and make conclusions to get a picture of the object. The source of this research is the corpus 1) folklore, 2) the maxim, 3) the sermon, and 4) the daily speech of the Batak Toba community. The data containing amelioration is then recorded and transcribed. Technique of collecting data that is using technique refer to. Result of research, found four form of amelioration in Toba Batak language which amount to 89 data. The division of the form is (1) amelioration and synonym of word form of 72 data, (2) phrase amelioration, synonymous with rough word meaning of 13 data, (3) amelioration and synonym in phrase form and (4) amelioration of word form, synonymous with the form of meaningful rough phrases amounting to 2 data.Keywords: Amelioration, Batak Toba Language

Abstract

Abstract: This article aims to find out the category of reading comprehension for classVIII students of MTS Darul Hikmah Pekanbaru. And also apply a constructivismapproach in learning reading comprehension. This research was conducted in aqualitative descriptive manner with the collection of observational data anddocumentation. This type of research is a qualitative research with inferential statisticalanalysis method. This means that this research uses activities in the form of datacollection, data processing and presentation. The technique of collecting research datais by conducting a test in the form of an objective test to choose one answer. The dataanalysis technique of this study used statistical data analysis, namely (1) normality test,(2) homogeneity test, (3) one sample t test. The results showed that the students' readingcomprehension ability of class VIII MTS Darul Hikmah Pekanbaru based on the resultsof the pre-test and post-test there were differences. The class average at the pretest was11.63 after the implementation of the constructivism approach in learning increased to16.77 at the post-test.Keywords: Reading Comprehension, Constructivism Model, Ability to Use ConstructivismModel
