Abstract

This study aims to determine effect of boiling time, concentration of curing materials: salt, palm sugar, ginger and lemon grass, and interaction between boiling time and concentration of curing materials on the hedonic quality test of shredded broiler chicken. This research used Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with factorial pattern with 2 factors namely factor boiling time (P) with 3 levels of treatment and factor concentration of curing materials (C). The observed parameters include colour, smell and flavour of shredded broiler chicken performed using the panels to assign values of the samples characteristic. The research showed the hedonic quality test of colour and smell characteristics of shredded broiler chicken had no significant effect, while the hedonic quality test of flavour characteristic had very significant effect. Abstract

This study aims to determine the comparison between live weight and carcass weight of broiler chickens added with yellow corn for commercial purposes. To determine the relationship between live weight and carcass weight of broiler chickens added with yellow corn in commercial feed. The research was conducted at the practice and research location of the Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Palangka Raya Christian University. The measurement aspect includes the independent variable (live weight) and the dependent variable (carcass weight). Test the effect of independent variables on the dependent variable with a simple linear regression statistical test with a real test level of 0.05. Data processing used SPSS version 17 computer program and the study used 80 broiler chickens and each treatment used 4 tails. The results of this study showed that the ratio between live weight and carcass weight of broiler chickens added with yellow corn in commercial feed was quite high, ranging from 69.48-71.54%. And the correlation ranged between (r = 0.566-0.975). There is a very strong relationship between live weight and carcass weight of broiler chickens, namely in treatment B (5% yellow corn + 100% BR) and treatment C (10% yellow corn + 100% BR), while a strong relationship is in treatment A (without yellow corn) and treatment D (15% yellow corn + 100% BR). Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of field grass and leaf of lamtoro gung on body weight gain and final body weight of local male hare. This experiment using completely randomized device (CRD), with five treatment and four replications. The result showed that the use of field grass and leaf of lamtoro gung have significant effect on body weight gain and final body weight of local male hare.

Abstract

The study aim to determine the effect of mixture level of rice bran, yellow corn and fermented tofu waste on final body weight of domestic poultry age 0-8 weeks. This study using randomized complete design with 4 treatments and 5 replications. The Treatment A = 80 % rice bran + 20 % yellow corn, B = 70 % rice bran + 20 % yellow corn + 10 % fermented tofu waste, C = 60 % rice bran + 20 % yellow corn + 20 % fermented tofu waste and D = 50 % rice bran + 20 % yellow corn + 30 % fermented tofu waste. The result showed that the provision of various level of a mixture not significant effect on final body weight of domestic poultry age 0-8 weeks.

Abstract

This research aim to know the level of organic and anorganic giving best result to growth vegetatif rumput gajah (Pennisetum purpureum).  This research was design by using Completely Randomized Design with the single treatment various level organic and an organic manure (P), that is p0 = control (without organic and an organic manure), p1 = 100% urea + 0% organic manure., p2 = 75 % urea + 25 % organic manure., p3 = 50 % urea + 50 % organic manure., p4 = 25 % urea + 75 % organic manure and p5 = 0 % urea + 100 % organic manure, each treatament repeated 5 times so that there are 24 experemintal units.  The result of this research is level organic and an organic give the influence to hihg crop 6mst and 8 mst, amount of leaf 6 mst rumput gajah (Pennisetum purpureum). The component og growth show the same tendency, where the effect of organic manure given better result, coumtary with the anorganic manure

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of various levels of additive mixture of brown sugar, EM4 (Effective microorganism) and bran on the quality of corn straw silage. This research was conducted using a completely randomized design with 4 treatments and 5 replications. Treatment A = Brown Sugar 3% + EM4 2% + Bran 0%, B = Brown Sugar 6% + EM4 2% + Bran 4 %, C = Brown Sugar 9% + EM4 2% + Bran 8% and D = Brown Sugar 12% + EM4 2% + Bran 12%. Observations were made using the organoleptic method which included odor, color, texture, and fungus. The results showed that the addition of brown sugar, EM4 and bran additives did not significantly affect the quality of the organoleptic test of baud and color of corn straw silage but had a very significant effect on the quality of the organoleptic texture and fungus test of corn straw silage. Addition of 12% brown sugar, 2% EM4 and 12% bran additives resulted in the best quality for the organoleptic test of corn straw silage and fungi. Keywords: Corn straw silage, brown sugar, rice bran

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of adding feed with maggot and rice bran as a base ingredient in basal feed on live weight, carcass and giblets of broiler chickens and to determine the rate of addition of feed with maggot and rice bran as a base ingredient in basal feed which will give good results. best on live weight, carcass and broiler chicken giblets. The implementation of this research took place at the practical location of the Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Palangka Raya Christian University, Jalan G.S Rubay Palangka Raya. This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 treatments with 5 replications, namely A = 100% basal feed, B = 100% basal feed and 5% additional feed, C = 100% basal feed and 10% additional feed and D = feed. basal 100% and additional feed 15%. From the results of the study, it can be seen that the addition of feed with maggot and rice bran as a base ingredient in basal feed has no effect on live weight, carcass and broiler chicken giblets.

Abstract

The study aims to determine the effect of various EM4 (effective microorganism) mixtures, sugarcane juices and corn flour on the physical quality of silage of Kumpai Grass (Hymenachine amplexicaulis).  To get the right level of additive mixture to produce good  dilation This research was conducted using a randomized complete design with treatment A (EM3 3%, Sugarcane water 1%, Corn flour 2%), B (EM3 3%, Sugarcane water 2%, Corn flour 3%),  A (EM3 3%, Sugarcane water 3%, Corn flour 6%),   A (EM3 3%, Sugarcane water 4%, Corn flour 8%). The observed variables were physical silage in the form of odor, texture and color.  The result showed that the addition of EM4 (effective microorganism) additives, sugarcane juices and corn flour had no effect on organoleptic testing of silage Kumpai Grass (Hymenachine amplexicaulis).

Abstract

The aims of this study is to determine the effect of giving Trichoderma Compost on the growth and production of Brachiaria humidicola grass on peatlands and to determine the dosage of Trichoderma compost which gives the best results for the growth and production of Brachiaria humidicola grass on peatlands. This research was conducted in Tanjung Taruna Village, Jabiren Raya District, Pulang Pisau Regency, from September to November 2018. This study was designed using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with a single treatment of various doses of compost (K), k0 = without compost, k1 = 20 tons ha-1, k2 = 30 tons ha-1 and k3 = 40 tons ha-1. The results of this study showed that giving compost had an effect on the plant height of Brahiaria humidicola grass 6 week after planting and 8 week after planting as well as crop production and 30 ton ha-1 compost giving the best production of Brahiaria humidicola on peat land.

Abstract

The aim of this research were to know the effect of bokashi that giving the best result to growth vegetative  Elephant grass (Pennisetum purpureum).  This research wad design by using Completely Random Design (CRD) with single factor experiment that is doses bokahsi (B), with thelevel of each doses, b0= control (without bokashi), b1= 10 ton ha-1, b2= 20 ton ha-1, b3= 30 ton ha-1.  The result showed that the applications bokashi giving the influence to  of Elephant grass (Pennisetum purpureum)  Bokashi 30 ton ha-1 give the highest production Elephant grass (Pennisetum purpureum).
