Abstract

Pembentukan karakter siswa diawali dengan budaya shaleh (membaca Al Qur’an,  sholat Dhuha dan dzikir pagi) yang diciptakan dan dikembangkan di SMP Muhammadiyah 6 Krian sehingga menjadi budaya kuat dalam diri anak-anak. Pembentukan karakter shaleh yang diawali dengan pembiasaan dipagi hari sangat berdampak pada perilaku siswa. Metode yang dikembangkan dalam budaya sekolah sebagai pembentuk karakter siswa mendapatkan hasil pada perilaku siswa yang semakin hari bertambah baik. Budaya shaleh dipagi hari membawa dampak yang signifikan pada budaya jujur, displin, tanggung jawab, dan santun. Nilai budaya yang dikembangkan sebagi upaya perbaikan pendidikan sekolah agar terwujudnya pribadi yang berakhlak mulia, berprestasi dan berwawasan global. Dalam implementasinya budaya sekolah yang dikembangkan dan menjadi kebiasan-kebiasan karakter yang positif yang berpengaruh pada perilaku peserta didik. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan merancang studi kasus. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi peran serta, wawacara mendalam, dan dokumentasi. Penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa budaya shaleh yang diawali dipagi hari sebelum pembelajaran merupakan dasar dari budaya jujur, disiplin, tanggung jawab, dan santun  menjadi budaya sekolah  yang dikembangkan dan menjadikan trade merk SMP Muhammadiyah 6 Krian.

Abstract

The STEM is an approach that seemly considered will be useful in online learning, because it can facilitate students to learn some  skills from about 21st century.  This study was aimed to develop module-based STEM in improving scientific literacy skills in distance learning through e learning. Because this research developed module-based STEM, this study was named developmental research. The research procedure follows the stages of the R & D method developed by Barg and Gall which includes the studies of preliminary, product planning, development, validation (validation by experts), and  revision, lastly field testing. Moduls that have been declared valid by experts are field tested using one group pretest-posttest design in an experimental class. The results show that the feasibility of module-based STEM in distance learning model to increase students' skills within scientific literacy was valid with the average score of 4.28 by two experts. In addition, the application of integrated STEM teaching materials through e-learning has a moderate effect on students' scientific literacy skills since the N-gain score was 0.6.

Abstract

Quality human resources will affect the quality of an Islamic educational institution. One of the influential human resources in the development of Islamic educational institutions is the teacher. The principal as the leader of an educational institution is tasked with conducting an assessment of teacher performance. This article aims to explain the importance of teacher performance supervision activities in Islamic education institutions and how the results of teacher performance supervision in developing Islamic education institutions. This research is included in the research with a qualitative approach. It was concluded that the results of supervision of teacher performance are very important in an Islamic educational institution, and the results of supervision of teacher performance can develop the quality of Islamic education institutions.

Abstract

Tuberculosis is an irresistible illness that can go after anybody. The focal point of this examination purposely took instances of TB RO, where TB cases have a longest term of around 2 years contrasted with normal TB with a treatment time of 6 or 9 months. Then, the scientist plans to figure out the relational correspondence among husband and spouse couples, what is the nature of relational correspondence in couples impacted by TB RO illness, on the grounds that the treatment period is long, the nature of the husband and wife relationship might be viewed as in a terrible condition or the other way around, so this examination centers around the quality, for example, receptiveness, compassion, strong demeanor, inspirational perspective and balance found in relational correspondence while as yet focusing on a humanistic viewpoint where the component of humanistic accentuation is a lot of thought about in this point of view. Highlights : Extended Treatment Impact: Investigates how the prolonged treatment duration of TB RO (up to 2 years) affects marital relationships, differing significantly from standard TB treatment timelines. Communication Quality: Focuses on key aspects of communication quality in couples, including openness, empathy, supportive attitudes, positivity, and equanimity, amidst the challenges posed by TB RO. Humanistic Approach: Emphasizes the importance of a humanistic perspective in understanding and addressing the psychological and emotional dimensions of coping with TB RO within marital dynamics. Abstract

General Background: The growth of short video platforms has accelerated the development of digital content formats, including VTuber performances that combine animation technology, storytelling, and convergent media communication. Specific Background: VTubers use Live2D avatars and narrative content to present visual communication integrating gaming, Japanese mythology, and anime aesthetics through YouTube Shorts. Knowledge Gap: Previous studies mainly discuss VTubers in general visual communication, while limited research analyzes symbolic meaning construction in short video storytelling using semiotic approaches. Aims: This study analyzes how visual and symbolic signs construct identity and meaning in VTuber Yatagarasu no Yuta using Roland Barthes’ semiotic framework. Results: The findings show that avatar visual elements such as crow attributes and formal clothing represent literal meaning, while Minecraft creepypasta storytelling reflects symbolic themes of mystery, isolation, and digital threats. Mythological elements through characters like Herobrine, Entity 303, and Null represent digital urban legends reflecting collective fears in virtual environments. Novelty: This research integrates semiotic analysis with VTuber short video storytelling to explain layered signification in convergent media. Implications: The findings provide insights into VTuber identity formation, digital myth construction, and audience interaction patterns within virtual entertainment and digital culture studies. Abstract

Fenomena penceritaan digital (digital storytelling) di YouTube, khususnya video Nessie Judge yang berjudul “Kasus Viral KKN di Desa Penari!!! (Rangkuman Semua Versi)” sangat menarik untuk diteliti karena keterlibatan audiensnya yang kuat; penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kualitas naratif menggunakan Paradigma Naratif Walter Fisher dan 12 Elemen Digital Storytelling; metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan analisis isi diterapkan melalui observasi, dokumentasi, dan komentar audiens; temuan menunjukkan bahwa narasi tersebut koheren dan menunjukkan kesetiaan (fidelity) yang tinggi terhadap nilai-nilai budaya populer, dengan elemen suara, alur cerita, hubungan dengan audiens, serta signifikansi konten sebagai elemen yang paling menonjol, sementara audiens secara aktif memperkuat kesetiaan naratif secara kolektif.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the meaning of toponyms in Durungbedug Village as a representation of local cultural heritage. Using a comparative historical linguistics approach, Barthes' etymology and semiotics, as well as ethnographic methods, this study explores the meaning of place names in the village. Scientific findings indicate that the toponyms of Durungbedug Village, consisting of Bedug Pesantren, Bedug Dowo, and Bedug Baru, reflect the existence of developing religious, agrarian, and economic values. "Bedug Pesantren" reflects religious traditions, "Bedug Dowo" indicates still-perpetuated agrarian practices, while "Bedug Baru" depicts economic dynamics that keep pace with the times. The contribution of this study is to provide a new understanding that toponyms are not only geographical markers, but also reflect social, cultural, and economic changes, as well as enriching the study of local cultural heritage.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and understand how visual elements in the @adidasindonesia Instagram feed shape Adidas brand perception among Generation Z. This study uses Charles Morris's visual perception theory framework which includes three main aspects, namely syntactic, semantic, and pragmatic, to examine visual structure, meaning, and visual impact on the audience. The research method used is qualitative with a descriptive approach, which focuses on an in-depth understanding of the audience's visual perception without involving hypothesis testing or statistical measurements. The object of the study is the visual content on the @adidasindonesia Instagram feed during the period 2023 to 2025. Data were obtained through in-depth interviews with five Generation Z informants selected using a purposive sampling technique, and supported by observations of the visual characteristics of Instagram posts. The results of the study indicate that the visual feed of @adidasindonesia Instagram has a strategic role in shaping the perception of the Adidas brand among Generation Z. Syntactically, the consistency of design, visual composition, and the use of Adidas's distinctive identity elements are considered capable of creating strong visual readability and brand recognition. Semantically, Adidas's Instagram visuals are interpreted not only as a means of product promotion, but also as a representation of an active lifestyle, community values, inclusivity, modernity, and sustainability. Meanwhile, pragmatically, Adidas's Instagram visual feed has a real impact on audience interest, the formation of emotional closeness and trust in the brand, as well as encouraging product information searches and strengthening brand loyalty. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the visual strategy of Instagram @adidasindonesia is effective in building positive perceptions and maintaining the relevance of the Adidas brand amidst the dynamics of Generation Z's digital culture.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi telah mendorong pemanfaatan media sosial sebagai sarana komunikasi digital di lingkungan pendidikan. Instagram merupakan salah satu platform yang banyak digunakan sekolah untuk menyebarluaskan informasi, mempublikasikan kegiatan, serta membangun citra lembaga. Namun, efektivitas penyampaian informasi melalui Instagram sangat bergantung pada kualitas konten video yang dipublikasikan. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan mengimplementasikan editing konten video pada akun Instagram SMP Muhammadiyah 10 Sidoarjo sebagai sarana komunikasi digital yang lebih informatif dan komunikatif. Metode yang digunakan meliputi observasi, pelaksanaan kegiatan, dan hasil publikasi. Proses editing dilakukan menggunakan aplikasi CapCut melalui tahapan pemilihan klip, pemotongan video, penambahan teks, transisi, musik latar, dan elemen visual pendukung lainnya. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa konten video yang telah melalui proses editing memiliki kualitas visual yang lebih baik, penyajian informasi lebih terstruktur, serta tampilan yang lebih profesional dibandingkan dokumentasi sebelum diedit. Publikasi video di Instagram sekolah juga mendukung penyebaran informasi yang lebih luas dan mudah dipahami masyarakat. Dengan demikian, implementasi editing konten video terbukti mampu meningkatkan efektivitas komunikasi digital, memperkuat citra positif sekolah, serta mengoptimalkan fungsi Instagram sebagai media publikasi dan penyebaran informasi pendidikan.

Abstract

This community service activity describes the implementation of a journalism course through a Project Based Learning (PBL) internship program at Harian Bhirawa as a service partner. The program provides mentoring and practical learning that enables students to apply journalistic competencies directly in a professional media environment. The method involves training and supervised fieldwork practice. Results indicate that the PBL-based internship improves students’ abilities to apply 5W+1H, the inverted pyramid structure, and journalistic ethics in news reporting. Students also show improved skills in interviewing, field observation, data processing, news writing, and video editing according to Harian Bhirawa’s editorial standards. The program offers authentic learning experiences that strengthen journalistic competencies while fostering soft skills such as critical thinking, effective communication, teamwork, and adaptability. Therefore, this internship program serves as an effective model for bridging academic learning with the needs of the media industry.
