Abstract

The purpose of this study is to know, analyze, and explore, persuasive communication of stakeholders of DKBP3A as a form of early marriage prevention power to minimize domestic violence and mental disorders of perpetrators. The research method uses descriptive qualitative, constructivistic paradigm, with a case study approach. Informant technique using purposive sampling, The subject in this study is DPKP3A Bangkalan. The object of his research is persuasive communication of DKBP3A stakeholders as a form of early marriage prevention power to minimize domestic violence and mental disorders of perpetrators. Data collection techniques through observation of in-depth interviews, documentation, audio-visual materials. Data analysis techniques by reducing data, playing data by making categories and discussions, and drawing conclusions. Validity techniques through triangulation and member check. Research Location in Madura. Persuasive communication from DKBP3A in suppressing early marriage to minimize domestic violence and mental disorders is  by socializing the prevention of early marriage, socializing the ideal age for marriage, pre-wedding socialization for prospective brides and grooms going directly to the village through GENRE (Generation Planning), socializing through pamphlets, socializing through banners, and can also use persuasive communication through social media that reaches teenagers, because of his tendency to play social media. As for other findings, apart from socialization, there are obstacles in running the program, namely there is no budget support from the government in 2023. The solution is that DKBP3A continues to run the program by reaching out to the lower classes of society together with cadres who have been previously trained so that the DKBP3A program continues to run.

Abstract

This study was conducted to observe the effectiveness of health communication efforts to increase mothers' knowledge about stunting in Gili Timur Village. The approach used in this study was qualitative in data collection techniques with interviews. The results of the study showed that health communication that had been implemented through socialization of stunting prevention, education on processing food properly, demonstrations of stunting prevention using social media and mass media had succeeded in increasing mothers' knowledge about stunting starting from the causes, impacts of stunting, and how to prevent stunting. So that this study can be seen that health communication has an important role in changing the behavior of mothers to children in preventing stunting. In an effort to increase the effectiveness of health communication, it is recommended to use material discussions according to needs so that they are easily understood by mothers. Therefore, health communication requires improvement through an approach with a primary focus on the needs or requirements of mothers in certain groups.

Abstract

Early marriage in Indonesia, especially in areas with strong traditions, for example in Madura, is a complex and urgent social problem. According to the latest data from UNICEF, Indonesia is ranked fourth in the world in terms of early marriage cases. Family communication between parents and children is an important aspect in decision-making related to early marriage. Madurese society, known for its strong cultural and religious values, often relies on advice and guidance from religious figures in various aspects of life including marriage. This study aims to explore the role of religious figures in family communication related to early marriage decision-making in Madura. The study used a qualitative approach with a phenomenological design, which allows researchers to understand the experiences and views of informants in depth. The results of this study indicate that Madurese society respects religious figures, especially kiai as role models. The role of religious figures as social spiritual legitimacy, family communication mediators and emotional motivational support is very significant in family communication in early marriage decision-making in Madura.

Abstract

Women have always been described as marginalized. Various studies and research on the image (representation) of women in the media always put women as objects. Media can construct the reality that occurs so as to affect the perception of the audience. This study aims to find out how the media describes news about women and environmental issues. The chosen method is textual analysis by analyzing existing text on women and environmental issues. The selected media are Kompas, Tempo, TribunNews, Antara and Radar Madura (representing local media). News selected from the year 2014 on the grounds because the news about environmental issues in Madura many covered  Radar Madura in 2014. The results showed that the majority of all media describe women as the object (victims) who always ask for help and do not have the initiative to overcome problems. While men are described as the problem solver. However, national media such as Kompas tend to describe balanced women (as objects and subjects). In contrast, local media ( Radar Madura) all portray women as objects of narrators whose ultimate purpose is to raise the value of news.
