Abstract

Dyscalculia is a learning disability. It affects the arithmetic ability of student, and usually can’t be separated from mathematical learning difficulty. It is usually occurred in early stage of learning, and unless an intervention (traditional or digital) is given, the disability will persist until adulthood. This paper will present an overview of current condition of dyscalculia in Indonesia. Researches in traditional and digital intervention and the role of computer-assisted instruction are also discussed.

Abstract

One of the Dewan Kemakmuran Masjid (committee to serve public service in a mosque) main task is to provide prayer facilities in a mosque, such as managing schedules for muezzin and imam salat. Most of the time, the plan is executed manually. Moreover, preparing the schedule is not easy. It needs cautious and excessive effort as DKM members should be careful not to make an unbalanced schedule for each muezzin/ khatib. It is also an error-prone process since putting the unavailable person in the schedule slot is possible. To overcome the condition, we build a mobile application for managing schedules for muezzin and imam salat. The application has been tested with usability testing and a user experience questionnaire. The results from both testing tools yield excellent results; the application could implement and comfortably used for managing schedules. From the result, it can be inferred that Al Aboor meets the criteria for a good mobile application and can be developed further.

Abstract

Dyslexia is considered the most common appearance of a learning disability in the world. Dyslexic students often suffer from emotional issues because of their educational failure experiences. Dyslexia cannot be cured. However, proper and continuous treatment can help students to achieve better results in their studies. The sooner the intervention happens, the better the outcome will be. The research presents the design and development of a mobile application to help dyslexic students to learn how to read. The application is called Learning Dyslexia (Leady). The Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation (ADDIE) model is used for developing the application. It uses a multisensory approach as the teaching method. Leady aims at young learners so that they can have the intervention from an earlier age. The application design also complies with the appropriate design for dyslexic students, such as in the selection of used fonts and background color. Then, Leady is demonstrated to five dyslexia caretakers (the teachers or parents) from a dyslexia school in Bandung. From the conducted survey, it can be inferred that the method is integrated well since all respondents agree that Leady can help dyslexic students to learn how to read. Most of them agree that the used method in Leady is suitable for dyslexic students.

Abstract

Website merupakan alat pertukaran informasi yang banyak digunakan oleh perusahaan besar dan organisasi ternama. Perkembangan jaman dan revolusi industry 4.0 menyebabkan semakin mudahnya akses website oleh masyarakat. Hal ini berdampak pada perubahan kebutuhan fungsional sebuah website. Website juga dimanfaatkan secara personal untuk berbagi pengalaman perjalanan, menampilkan karya, memperlihatkan portfolio, atau kegiatan sebuah lembaga. Bagi sebuah lembaga, website dapat menjadi tempat untuk membangun citra/branding. Selain itu juga dapat meningkatkan kepercayaan konsumen. Sehingga, dapat dikatakan kebutuhan literasi digital juga meningkat. PD Salimah Kota Bandung merupakan organisasi perkumpulan Muslimah yang tersebar di berbagai daerah. Banyak hal yang dilakukan oleh PD Salimah Kota Bandung. Kegiatan tersebut memerlukan tempat untuk mempublikasikannya. Sebagai organisasi yang besar dan tersebar baik di Indonesia dan luar negri, PD Salimah telah memiliki tempat untuk mempublikasikan rangkaian acara/kegiatannya. Sedangkan untuk PD Salimah Kota Bandung, belum memiliki website publikasi khusus untuk “menyuarakan” kegiatan yang dilakukan. Sehingga dibutuhkan sebuah website blog khusus ormas Salimah Bandung untuk membuat cakupan publikasi semakin luas.

Abstract

Diskalkulia merupakan suatu kekurangan atau gangguan yang terjadi pada siswa terkait dengan kegiatan belajar matematika. Kesulitan yang terjadi seperti mengingat dan memahami konsep angka, melakukan operasi matematika secara berurutan, membandingkan dua buah bilangan. Diskalkulia terjadi pada anak-anak usia sekolah dan harus ditangani dengan segera. Untuk membantu mengatasi permasalahan diskalkulia pada anak usia sekolah dasar, dibuat aplikasi berbasiskan mobile (perangkat bergerak) yang khusus untuk menanganinya. Aplikasi ini dibuat dan diterapkan di sekolah dasar Putraco Indah Buah Batu. Pemilihan dan pemakaian warna pada aplikasi ini disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan anak diskalkulia.

Abstract

Human Resources and employees are an important part of the continuity of a company. Employee data management is crucial for a company. Misconduct in managing it could lead to data inconsistency that may cause loss for the company. Previously, ALI Seafood use only office applications to make a simple record of the employee data raising some difficulties in managing the data. These difficulties such as human errors, low capability of the operator, loss of employee data, or errors in real-time data sharing. Centralized Information Technology (IT) system can assist a company in carrying out the process of managing employees, not only to overcome the difficulties above but also in carrying out the process of compiling information that is useful in making strategic decisions for company owners. This research carries out the process of analysis, design, and development of a web-based application and has been fully utilized at ALI Seafood. The main features of the application include managing the organization structure, employment data, attendance, payroll, and application management access. ALI Seafood HR application developed using Laravel framework and MySQL database.
