Abstract

In Indonesia, the mortality rate for mothers and babies is increasing; one of the causes is prolonged labor. This study aimed to determine the factors associated with prolonged labor events. This type of research is an analytical survey with a cross-sectional research design.  The study population was all mothers giving birth to as many as 252 people, with a sample of 72 randomly taken. The research instrument uses a checklist sheet. The data used is secondary data obtained from medical records and documentation. Data analysis was carried out using a test that squares. The results showed that based on the age factor with prolonged labor, p-value = 0.018, parity factor with a long struggle, p = 0.001, and the birth weight factor for babies with a long work, p-value = 0.005. Based on this statement, it was obtained that the value of p < α where α = 0.05 means that there is a significant relationship between age, parity, and birth weight of the baby to long labor. Based on the study's results, it was concluded that the baby's age, equality, and birth weight are related to the incidence of prolonged labor

Abstract

Social stigma can encourage someone to hide their illness so they don't get society's discrimination. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of social interventions to reduce stigma towards changes in the behavior of housewives in the prevention and control of Covid-19. The population in this study were all housewives in the research locus. Calculation of the minimum sample using a two-proportion hypothesis test for the intervention and control groups (n = 150). The selection of the sample used a simple random sampling technique. The intervention group was given a social intervention by a change agent for Covid-19. The controls were given government program interventions to prevent Covid-19. Respondent's behavior was measured before and after treatment using a questionnaire. Data were analyzed by paired t-test and independent t-test. The results of the study showed that social interventions through providing counseling by covid-19 change agents were more effective in reducing stigma through behavior change (p-value <0.05). The findings of this study can be a new understanding in the preparation of intervention programs for the prevention and control of infectious diseases related to stigma in general and Covid-19 in particular.

Abstract

Reproductive health is a multidimensional state of physical, mental, and social well-being, covering all aspects of the reproductive system, functions, and processes. Cervical cancer is abnormal cell growth and development, which can lead to abnormal function of the reproductive organs and generally affects women of reproductive age, so the impact on the family is very significant. This study aims to determine the factors between the level of knowledge, access to information, and husband/family support with low Acetic Acid Visual Inspection (IVA) visits. This type of research is survey research with an analytical approach cross-sectional. The samples taken were 67 respondents obtained by the technique of purposive Sampling. The instrument used is a questionnaire. The data obtained is processed using a test Chi Square with a degree of significance (α) = 0.05. The results showed that there was a significant influence between the factors associated with the low number of IVA visits, namely the level of knowledge, access to information, and husband/family support. In the statistical test, the p-value is 0.000. The conclusions of WUS researchers who are married should always pay attention to their reproductive health, one of which is the IVA examination.
