Abstract

Karya sastra dapat berbentuk prosa, puisi ataupun film. Film sebagai salah satu bentuk dari karya sastra pun dapat dikatagorikan dalam bentuk fiksi dan non fiksi. Pada penelitian ini, penulis mengangkat film bertemakan ketulusan dan pengorbanan. Film yang diambil sebagai objek penelitian berjudul Cinderella. Adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis aspek-aspek moralitas yang terdapat dalam film ini. Penelitian ini diharapkan mampu menambah khazanah ilmu pengetahuan terutama sastra dan dapat menjadi referensi tambahan bagi peminatnya terutama peminat film. Kata kunci: sastra, film, moralitas

Abstract

This research is aimed to design the teaching material: Active Reading text book. The researchers applied the Pebble Pond Model to design the book. The model consists of six different phases namely, problem, progression, analysis, strategy, design and production. Merril (2002). The result of the research is expected to help the lecturers to teach active reading course and deliver the knowledge through the reading material to the students. After identifying students’ problem in comprehend ESL texts, analyzing the students’ needs, designing the draft, and arranging the materials, the researchers designed the book based on the available syllabus. The Active Reading book is designed to assist the students in learning reading at the third semester. The book consists of the reading material completed by the reading strategies. The various ESL texts will help the students be successful readers.

Abstract

AbstractThe aim of this research is to know the influence of linguistic intelligence towards English achievement at SMA Tugu Ibu in Depok. The data for linguistic intelligence is taken from worksheet though test. Meanwhile the data for English achievement is taken from the score of English in students’ academic record which is familiar called rapor. To analyze the data, the researcher uses SPSS (Statistical Product and Service Solution) version 17. Based on the result of the data analysis, it is known that coefficient correlation (r) = 0,766 and determination coefficient is 58,7%. It means that there are significant and strong influence of linguistic intelligence towards English achievement. It means that there are significant and strong influence of linguistic intelligence towards English achievement. English is influenced by linguistic intelligence for 58,7%. Meanwhile, the rest 41,3% is influenced by other factors. Futhermore, the test of hypotheses through regression analysis make the result for regression equality Y = 55,48 + 1,747 X. the result for regression equality significant test is got the score of Sig = 0,000 and tobserved = 6,307 so Sig score < 0,05 And tobserved > ttable so Ho is rejected and H1 is accepted. It means that regression coefficient is significant. The conclusion is there are strong and significant influence of linguistic intelligence towards English achievement at SMA Tugu Ibu in Depok, West Java. Keywords           : Linguistic Intelligence English Achievement.

Abstract

Character learning is very important in the formation of national buildings. This education is an education whose results cannot be directly felt by parents and educators. In addition, this education requires a long time. With the reading strategy, it is hoped that the student's character can be embedded and well patterned. Through good and appropriate reading, students are able to absorb all what they have read. The purpose of this research is to reveal how to cultivate students' character by practicing reading, and what students and teachers face at school. This research uses qualitative methods and literature study research. Respondents were 4 teachers and 4 junior high school students. The results of the study stated that the teacher inserted character material in the middle of the subject, besides that the teacher gave directions to students to read in the library or elsewhere. Constraints faced by students in realizing reading literacy, incomplete reading sources and real examples from teachers and parents at home
