Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: 1) Peran komite dalam meningkatkan mutu sekolah dan 2) Faktor-faktor yang menghambat peran komite dalam meningkatkan mutu sekolah. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kualitatif tipe deskriptif. Pemilihan informan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan purposive sampling dengan kriteria pengurus komite di SMA Negeri 11 Makassar sebanyak 8 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan pengumpulan data, penyajian data, reduksi data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Teknik pengabsahan data menggunakan member check. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) Peran komite dalam meningkatkan mutu pendidikan di SMA Negeri 11 Makassar adalah Komite sekolah  telah melaksanakan beberapa indikator kinerja terkait perannya sebagai (a) badan pertimbangan, (b) badan  pengontrol, (c) badan pendukung, (d) badan penghubung. 2) Faktor yang menghambat komite sekolah dalam menjalankan perannya untuk meningkatkan mutu  pendidikan di SMA Negeri 11Makassar sebagai berikut (a) kendala waktu, (b)keterbatasan dana.

Abstract

Abstract. This study aims to describe: (1) the results of the use of audio visual media in the learning of writing procedure text, (2) the results of the use of serial image media in the learning of writing procedure text, and (3) the comparison of the results of use between audio visual media and serial image media in the learning of writing text proedur students of Grade VII SMPN 1 Polombangkeng Utara. This type of research is quantitative research using a descriptive comparative approach. The data collection technique in this study is to create learning groups through Whatsapp application, assignments, and assessments. Data analysis techniques are performed by creating frequency and percentage distribution tables, creating tables of accumulated student grades, and creating categorization tables of media usage results. The results of this study showed that: (1) the results of the use of audio visual media in the learning of writing text procedures of Grade VII smpn 1 North Polombangkeng students are categorized well with an average score of 69 students. (2) the results of the use of serial image media in learning to write the text of the procedure of Grade VII SMPN 1 North Polombangkeng students are categorized as good with an average score of 72 students. (3) the results of the use between audio visual media and serial image media are at the same value interval of 60-84 categorized well with the average value of students on the use of audio visual media 69 while in the use of image media series 72. Abstract

This research was conducted to determine the effect of teaching using TikTok in improving students' vocabulary skills. The study used pre-experimental design. The sample was 34 11th-grade students using random cluster sampling technique. The researcher used a vocabulary test as an instrument based on several TikTok video contents that were taught. The vocabulary test was used as an instrument to find out the meaning of words, the use of words in context, and the parts of speech. This study conducted a pre-test to identify students' basic vocabulary abilities. In addition, the researcher provided treatment to achieve better vocabulary scores. Finally, a post-test was given to test the effect of teaching using TikTok in improving students' vocabulary skills. The pre-test and post-test scores were compared to see if teaching vocabulary using TikTok has an impact on improving students' vocabulary, and the data were analysed using a t-test. The results showed that the average pre-test score was 76.47, while the average post-test score was 91.76, indicating an increase. The paired sample t-test result was also significant, with a p-value of 0.000, which is lower than the alpha value of 0.05. It can be concluded that teaching using TikTok can improve the vocabulary mastery of students at SMAN 23 Makassar.Keywords: TikTok, Vocabulary Mastery
