Abstract

The purposes of this research is to describe: Javanese social ethics in the novel Ibu by Poerwadhie Atmodihardjo. This research is a qualitative descriptive research with content analysis method. The result of the analysis is Javanese social ethics in the novel Ibu by Poerwadhie Atmodihardjo are principle of harmony, principle of respect, etiquette, ethics in seeking justice, and profession ethics.

Abstract

This study analyzes speech acts types in Ariana Grande’s song We Can’t Be Friends. The song explores themes of heartbreak and personal growth, providing insight into emotional complexity. The descriptive qualitative method was employed in the study. The forms of speech acts are identified based on Searle’s theory, comprising of expressive, representative, directive, commissive, and declarative. The analysis identifies key speech acts in the lyrics: expressive acts (15 lines); representative acts (10 lines); directive acts (4 lines); and commissive acts (3 lines). Representative acts contextualize the emotional narrative, while directive acts guided the listener toward introspection. Expressive acts dominated the lyrics, conveying grief and self-reflection, while commissive and declarative acts emphasized the emotional transformation and desire for change. The findings demonstrated that the song used linguistic elements not only to explore personal emotions but also to foster emotional connections with the audience.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan nilai pendikan karakter dalam Warna-Warni Dongeng Bocah karya Riana Wati dan Djarot Heru Santoso yang relevan sebagai implementasi 8 dimensi profil lulusan dalam pembelajaran bahasa Jawa di sekolah. Penelitian kualitatif deskripstif ini menggunakan analisis isi untuk menemukan unsur ekstrinsik berupa nilai-nilai pendidikan pada 20 cerita dongeng dalam Warna-Warni Dongeng Bocah. Langkah analisis data yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini yaitu reduksi data, sajian data, verifikasi, dan simpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan 65 data relevan dengan 8 dimensi profil lulusan dengan rincian: keimanan dan ketakwaan kepada Tuhan YME sejumlah 9 data; kewargaan sejumlah 9 data; penalaran kritis sejumlah 11 data; kreativitas sejumlah 6 data; kolaborasi sejumlah 8 data; kemandirian sejumlah 8 data; kesehatan sejumlah 5 data; dan komunikasi sejumlah 9 data. Dari hasil ini disimpulkan bahwa antologi dongeng Warna-Warni Dongeng Bocah relevan sebagai penunjang bahan ajar bahasa Jawa.
