Abstract

Information technology is an important part in the development of education. Internet is a place where students and teachers can access the knowledge and information. Informatics technology widely applied to the delivery and management of information because the effectiveness and efficiency are shown to speed up performance, and ultimately will improve the quality of schools. SMK Negeri 2 Donorojo Pacitan in the delivery of information written on the bulletin board, brochures and banners. SMK Negeri 2 Donorojo not yet have a website as a means of delivering information. This study aims to analyze and design the school profile website. With the analysis and design is expected to be able to answer the difficulties often faced by employees and students as well as the parties involved in education to find out information SMK Negeri 2 Donorojo. Data collection methods used in this study include: problem identification, data collection and information, study library, survay method. The results of this study can facilitate all stakeholders to access information SMK N 2 Donorojo. Keyword : School Profile Website

Abstract

ABSTRAKSI: Dengan segala keunggulan yang dimiliki komputer, maka berperan bagi suatu lembaga dalam melakukan aktivitas pemrosesan data sehingga diperoleh hasil yang opitimal. Tersajinya informasi yang cepat maka akan mempercepat proses pengambilan keputusan, sehingga dapat memanfaatkan biaya, tenaga dan waktu yang lebih efektif dan efisien. Dalam hal ini komputer diharapkan tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai mesin ketik saja, tetapi juga sebagai alat pengolah data yang mempunyai produktivitas tinggi. Pengelolaan dan pengolahan data yang masih dilakukan secara konvensional, terkadang dapat menimbulkan kesalahan data yang disebabkan oleh faktor kesalahan manusia. Sama halnya yang tejadi pada SMK Negeri 2 Donorojo dimana proses penerimaan siswa baru masih dilakukan secara konvensional. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan sistem informasi yang mampu mengelola dan mengolah data secara efektif dan efisien sehingga terjadi komputerisasi data. Selain bertujuan untuk mengaplikasikan ilmu-ilmu yang diperoleh dari bangku kuliah juga bertujuan untuk menganalisis, merancang, dan membangun sistem baru yang merupakan pengembangan dari sistem konvensional. Pada proses penelitian ini akan menguraikan produk-produk yang dihasilkan pada masing-masing tahap analisis, perancangan, dan implementasi sistem informasi penerimaan siswa baru. Analisis dan perancangan sistem informasi penerimaan siswa dilakukan secara terperinci disertai dengan penjelasan implementasi. Hasil dari penelitian ini diharapkan dapat mempermudah kesulitan yang seringkali dihadapi oleh pengelola maupun siswa sehingga bisa jauh lebih efisien dan efektif terutama pada proses melaksanakan penerimaan siswa baru.
