ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuknmengetahui hasil peningkatan kemampuan keaksaraan awal anak melalui media pembelajaran sandpaper letters pada anak usia 4-5 tahun di TK Aisyiyah 33 Purwodiningratan tahun ajaran 2018/2019. Pendekatan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas. Subjek penelitian ini adalah anak usia 4-5 tahun berjumlah 14 anak yang terdiri dari 5 anak anak laki-laki dan 9 anak perempuan. Sumber data dalam penelitian adalah guru dan anak. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, tes, dan dokumentasi. Uji validitas data menggunakan credibility, transferability, dependability, dan confirmability. Analisis data kuantitatif menggunakan teknik statistik deskriptif dan analisis data kuantitatif menggunakan analisis model interaktif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan persentase ketuntasan kemampuan keaksaraan awal yang meliputi meniru menebalkan huruf diperoleh 78,8%, meniru menuliskan huruf diperoleh 78,5% dan meniru mengucapkan bunyi huruf diperoleh 85,7% mendapatkan nilai tuntas. Berdasarkan uraian tersebut maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa melalui media pembelajaran sandpaper letters dapat meningkatkan kemampuan keaksaraan awal pada anak usia 4-5 tahun. Kata kunci: Kemampuan keaksaraan awal, sandpaper letters, anak usia 4-5 tahun ABSTRACT This study aims to identify then results of the improvement of children's early literacy skills through sandpaper letters learning media for children aged 4-5 years TK Aisyiyah 33 Purwodiningratan in the academic year of 2018/2019. This type of research was classroom action research, which included quantitative and qualitative data approaches. The subjects of this study were children amounted 14 children consisting of 5 boys and 9 girls. The data sources in this study were children and teachers. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews, performance, and documentation. The validity data used credibility, transferability, dependability, and confirmability. Analysis used descriptive statistical techniques and quantitative data analysis used interactive model analysis. The results of the study showed the increase of accomplishment of the children’s early literacy skills on which included imitating the letters obtained by 78.8%, imitating writing letters obtained at 78.5% and imitating a letter sound obtained 85.7% get value due diligence. Based on the description above, it can be concluded that through sandpaper letters could improve the early literacy skills of children aged 4-5 years.
