Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mendapatkan varietas kedelai toleran naungan dan  mengidentifikasi karakter pertumbuhan dan komponen hasil  yang terkait sifat toleransi kedelai terhadap penaungan. Desain percobaan menggunakan Rancangan Petak Terpisah (split plot) berdasarkan  Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) dengan tiga ulangan. Tingkat penaungan sebagai Petak Utama dengan 4 taraf perlakuan: 0 % = tanpa penaungan,  30 %,  50 %  dan  70%. Anak Petak  dengan 6 varietas : Anjasmoro, Pangrango, Kerinci, Dempo, Tanggamus dan Nanti. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penaungan dan varietas mempengaruhi semua parameter secara nyata sedangkan interaksi kedua faktor tersebut secara nyata terdapat pada panjang tanaman, jumlah cabang produktif dan berat kering 100 biji. Berdasarkan hasil biji per tanaman (g) diperoleh bahwa varietas Nanti mempunyai indeks toleransi kecil sedangkan Pangrango mampu toleran pada penaungan 70 %. Varietas Anjasmoro mampu bertoleransi pada tingkat penaungan 30 % dan 50 %. Kata kunci: kedelai, varietas, toleran naungan

Abstract

ABSTRACT Growth and yield responses of bawang Sabrang (Eleutherine americana Merr.) on various plant spacing and different bulb slicing levels. Bawang sabrang (E. americana Merr.) was potential to developed as a raw material of natural medicine, but the cultivation technique of this plant hasn’t been widely known. Therefore,  a research to determine growth and yield responses of  bawang sabrang (Eleutherine americana Merr.) on  various plant spacing and different bulb slicing levels had been done. The research was conducted  at  Jln. Pasar 1 Tanjung Sari, Medan with the altitude + 25m above sea level  from March to June 2012 using The Factorial Randomized Block Design with two factors, i.e plant spacing (15x20 cm, 20x20 cm, 25x20 cm) and bulb slicing (intact,  cutting ¼ bulb tip and cutting ½ bulb tip) used three replications. Data were analyzed with ANOVA and continued with Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT).The results showed that the plant  spacing  affect significantly on leaf numbers. Bulb slicing affect significantly on sprouting  age. The interaction not significantly on any parameters. The best results were obtained at plant spacing of 15x20 cm  with intact bulbs. Keywords: Eleutherine americana Merr., plant spacing, bulb slicing ABSTRAK Respons pertumbuhan dan hasil bawang Sabrang (Eleutherine americana Merr.) pada beberapa jarak tanam dan berbagai tingkat pemotongan umbi bibit. Bawang sabrang potensial dikembangkan sebagai bahan baku obat alami, namun teknik budidaya tanaman ini belum banyak diketahui. Untuk itu, dilakukan penelitian guna mengetahui respons pertumbuhan dan hasil bawang sabrang (Eleutherine americana Merr.) pada beberapa jarak tanam dan berbagai tingkat pemotongan umbi bibit. Penelitian dilakukan di  Jln. Pasar 1 Tanjung Sari, Medan  dengan ketinggian tempat + 25 meter diatas permukaan laut (dpl) pada bulan Maret - Juni 2012 menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) Faktorial 2 faktor yaitu jarak tanam (15x20 cm, 20x20 cm,  25x20 cm) dan pemotongan umbi bibit (utuh, umbi dipotong ¼ ujung, umbi dipotong ½ ujung) diulang tiga kali. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan menggunakan sidik ragam dan dilanjutkan dengan Uji Jarak Berganda Duncan (UJBD). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa jarak tanam berpengaruh nyata terhadap jumlah daun. Pemotongan umbi bibit berpengaruh nyata terhadap umur bertunas. Interaksi tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap semua parameter. Hasil terbaik diperoleh pada jarak tanam 15x20 cm dengan umbi utuh. Kata Kunci: Bawang Sabrang, jarak tanam, pemotongan umbi bibit

Abstract

One of determining factors of water supply for rubber plants are rain fall and rain day. Water supply for rubber in field is obtained from rainfall. The amount of water that doesn’t consistent give negative impact to the productivity of rubber. This research was to determine the effect of rainfall and rain day as well as the correlation of both on rubber production in plants 7, 10 and 13 years aged. This research is done in Sei Baleh Estate PT. Bakrie Sumatera Plantations, Tbk. from January to March 2016. Primary data for the purposes of data analysis includes latex production in 2012, 2013, and 2014; rainfall data and rain day monthly in 2011, 2012, and 2013. Analysis method used are double linier regression and correlation analysis. Model tested by classic asumption consists of normality test, heteroskedasticity test, multicollinearity, and autocorellations test by using statistic software SPSS.v.17 for windows. The regression analysis shows that rainfall and rain day variables don’t have significant influence to increased latex production of rubber plants 7, 10 and 13 years aged. Rainfall and rain day affect latex production 19,1%; 9,3%; 28,6% of rubber plants 7, 10 and 13 years aged. The correlation result in plants aged 7 and 10 years showed variable rainfall and rain day have a strong relationship (0,921 and 0,901)  against the latex production, meanwhile in plants aged 13 years have a sufficient relationship (0,776).
