Abstract

Abstrak. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mendalami pelaksanaan program gerakan literasi sekolah (GLS) di Sekolah Dasar Negeri (SDN) Gugus Sungai Miai Banjarmasin. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Lokasi penelitian bertempat di SDN Sungai Miai 5, SDN Sungai Miai 7, dan SDN Surgi Mufti 4 Banjarmasin. Subjek penelitian adalah Kepala Sekolah, Guru, dan Peserta Didik. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: pelaksanaan program gerakan literasi sekolah di SDN Gugus Sungai Miai Banjarmasin berada pada tahap pembiasaan. Upaya-upaya yang dilakukan sekolah dalam melaksanakan program gerakan literasi sekolah adalah: (1) menambah buku pengayaan, (2) mendekatkan buku ke peserta didik dengan cara membuat area baca dan lingkungan yang kaya akan teks, (3) melaksanakan berbagai bentuk kegiatan literasi, dan (4) melibatkan publik dalam pelaksanaan gerakan literasi.Adapun kendala yang dihadapi sekolah dalam pelaksanaan GLS adalalah: (1) rendahnya kesadaran guru, (2) buku pengayaan yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan anak sulit ditemukan, (3) guru malas membaca, (4) guru tidak memahami penerapan gerakan literasi, dan (5) sekolah kekurangan dana. Dengan demikian, implementasi program GLS di SDN Gugus Sungai Miai Banjarmasin perlu ditingkatkan ke tahap pengembangan dengan melibatkan berbagai pihak.Kata Kunci: Gerakan Literasi Sekolah, Sekolah Dasar Abstract. This article aims to deepen the implementation of the school literacy movement (SLM)program at Public Elementary School of the Gugus Sungai Miai Banjarmasin. The type of this research is qualitative descriptive. The research location is at SDN Sungai Miai 5, SDN Sungai Miai 7, and SDN Surgi Mufti 4 Banjarmasin. Research subjects are Principal, Teacher, and Student. The instrument are interviews, observation, and documentation. The results showed that: the implementation of SLM program at SDN Gugus Sungai Miai Banjarmasin is at habituationstage. Efforts of schools in implementing the SLM are: (1) adding enrichment books, (2) bringing books closer to learners by making the reading areas and environment rich in text, (3) implementing various of literacy activities, and (4) involve the public in the implementation of SLM. The obstacles faced by schools in the implementation of the SLM are: (1) the low level of teachers' awareness, (2) the appropriate reading books is difficult to find, (3) the teacher is lazy to read, (4) the teacher does not understand the application of literacy movement, and (5) schools are under-funded. Thus, the implementation of the SLM program at SDN Gugus Sungai Miai Banjarmasin needs to be upgraded to the development stage by involving various parties.Keywords:Literacy,School Literacy Movement, Elementary School

Abstract

The purpose of this community service activity is to provide an applicable understanding to classroom teachers in KKG SD Gugus Sungai Miai about a scientific approach. This approach is relevant to curriculum 2013. Based on various research results that scientific approach can be used to improve the quality of learning. The implementation of this community service activity is using the stages of lesson study, namely: Planning (planning of learning), Do (implementation and observation of learning), and See (reflection of learning).

Abstract

This article aims to explain the description of the implementation of school-based management in SDN Sungai Miai 5 and SDN Surgi Mufti 4 Banjarmasin. The method used is qualitative approach with descriptive type. The data sources of this research are principals and teachers. The method of data collection is interview and observation. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of school-based management at SDN Sungai Miai 5 Banjarmasin is done by involving all school residents in the planning and implementation of school programs, including parents of students. Schools have specialized staff to record and report school finances and assets. The implementation school-based manahement at SDN Surgi Mufti 4 Banjarmasin is done with the principle of togetherness, that is by drivingthe competent teachers to train less competent teachers, mobilize school entrepreneurship activities, and principals teach other teachers by providing a direct example. Thus, the implementation of school-based management requires the support of various parties for improving the learning quality in schools.Keywords: Impelementation; management based on school; MBS; elementary school

Abstract

IndonesiaPendahuluan: Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan pengertian kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa, peran guru dalam meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa SD/MI, bentuk soal matematika untuk meningkatkan komunikasi matematis siswa SD/MI, dan strategi pembelajaran yang dapat digunakan dalam meningkatkan komunikasi matematis siswa SD/MI. Metode: Tulisan ini merupakan kajian pustaka tentang strategi  meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa SD/MI. Hasil: 1) Kemampuan komunikasi matematika adalah kemampuan dalam menyampaikan ide matematika, baik secara lisan maupun tulisan serta kemampuan memahami dan menerima ide matematika orang lain secara cermat, analisis, kritis, dan evaluatif untuk mempertajam pemahaman; 2) Peran guru dalam mengembangkan komunikasi matematis siswa SD/MI meliputi: a) merancang pembelajaran yang dapat meningkatkan intensitas interaksi guru dengan siswa dan antar siswa, b)  memberikan motivasi kepada siswa, c)  menyeleksi tugas-tugas yang akan diberikan, dan d) mengukur kemampuan matematis siswa dengan pemberian soal uraian; 4) Strategi pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi matematika siswa SD/MI adalah: a) Strategi pembelajaran kooperatif tipe think-talk-write; b) Strategi pembelajaran interaktif; c) Strategi pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Teams-Games-Tour-Tournaments; d) Pendekatan pendidikan matematika realistik (PMR); dan e) Pendekatan pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL). EnglishIntroduction:  The purposes of this article are to explain understanding of students’ mathematical communication skills, the teachers’ role to improve students' mathematical communication skills in elementary school, design of mathematical question form to improve mathematical communication in elementary school, the strategies to improve mathematical communication skill in elementary school. Method: This paper is library research to know  strategies improving mathematical communication skill in elementary school. Results: 1) The mathematical communication skill is the ability to present mathematical ideas, both orally and in writing and the ability to understand and accept other people's mathematical ideas carefully, analytically, critically and evaluatively for building mathematical knowledge; 2) The teachers’ role in developing mathematical communication of elementary students are: a) designing methods, approaches, and strategies that increase the intensity of teacher interaction with students and among students, b)  giving motivation to students, c)  selecting the tasks, and d) measuring students' mathematical communication ability by giving essay task; 5) Strategies to improve mathematical communication skills in elementary school are: a) cooperative learning strategy type think-talk-write; b) interactive learning strategy; c) Cooperative Teams-Games-Tour-Tournaments Cooperative Learning Strategy; d)  Realistic mathematics education (RME)  approach; and e) Problem Based Learning (PBL) approach.

Abstract

IndonesiaPendahuluan:   Tujuan utama dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui tingkat Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK) atau teknologi pedagogis pengetahuan konten, tingkat technology integration self efficacy (TISE) atau efficacy diri dalam mengintegrasikan teknologi dan hubungan antara TPACK dan TISE pada guru matematika di sekolah dasar. Metode: Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kuantitatif. Penelitian ini menggunakan  instrumen TPACK Survey Instrument (Pamuk et al., 2013) untuk mengukur teknologi pedagogis pengetahuan konten guru dan Computer Technology Integration Survey (CTIS) (Wang et al., 2004) untuk mengukur efficacy diri peserta dalam mengintegrasikan teknologi pada proses mengajar. Hasil: TPACK  dan TISE responden berada pada tingkat sederhana. Hasil pada uji hiphothesis menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara TPACK dan TISE. Kesimpulan: Kemampuan TISE dan TPACK sangat dipelukan untuk guru matematika sekolah dasar dalam pengembangkan strategi khusus dalam integrasi teknologi yang mendukung standar pembelajaran di dalam kelas yang berintegrasi teknologi. EnglishIntroduction:The main purpose of this study is to identify the level of technological pedagogical content knowledge (TPACK), the level of technology integration self efficacy (TISE) and the relationships between TPACK and TISE among mathematics teachers in primary schools. Method: A descriptive quantitative research design was implemented in this study to achieve this purpose. The instruments used in this study are TPACK survey instrument (Pamuk et al., 2013) to measure teacher’s technological pedagogical content knowledge and Computer Technology Integration Survey (CTIS) (Wang et al., 2004) to measure participants’ technology integration self efficacy in teaching. Result: The finding of descriptive analysis was that the majority of the respondents reported moderate level of TPACK  and TISE. The finding of hyphothesis test shows that there are significant relationships between TPACK and TISE. Conclusion: TPACK and TISE capability of primary schools Mathematics teachers is important to develop their integrated technology competence in teaching.

Abstract

Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menguji signifikasi pengaruh model pembelajaran berbasis masalah dengan pendekatan saintifik terhadap kemampuan berfikir kritis Mahasiswa/i PGMI. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan jenis kuasi eksperimen melalui Posttest-Only Control Design. Tempat penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Universitas Islam Kalimantan MAB. Populasi penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa/i PGMI semester 3, sedangkan sampelnya adalah mahasiswa kelas Banjarmasin dan Banjarbaru yang berjumlah 48 orang. Kelas Banjarmasin dipilih sebagai kelas eksperimen atau tempat diterapkannya model pembelajran berbasis masalah dengan pendekatan saintifik, sedangkan kelas Banjarbaru dipilih sebagai kelas kontrol atau tempat diterapkannya model pembelajaran lama, yakni model pembelajaran ekspositori. Instrumen penelitian ini menggunakan lembar observasi dan tes. Teknik analalisis yang digunakan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran berbasis masalah dengan pendekatan saintifik terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis adalah uji-t independen, yaitu dengan membandingkan kemampuan berpikir matematis mahasiswa/I kelompok eksperimen dengan kelompok kontrol. Hasil penelitian ini menemukan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara kemampuan mahasiswa/i kelas eksperimen dengan mahasiswa kelas eksperimen (Sig. 0.00 < 0,05), yakni nilai rata-rata kemampuan mahasiswa/i kelas eksperiman (3.3333) lebih tinggi dibandingkan nilai rata-rata kemampuan mahasiswa/i kelas kontrol (2.5278). Dengan demikian, terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran berbasis masalah dengan pendekatan saintifik terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis mahasiswa/i.Kata Kunci: Pembelajaran Berbasis Masalah, Pendekatan Saintifik, Kemampuan Berfikir Kritis, Matematika, PGMI THE EFFECT OF PROBLEM BASED LEARNING WITH SCIENTIFIC APPROACH TOWARD MADRASAH IBTIDAIYAH TEACHER EDUCATION STUDENTS’ MATHEMATICS CRITICAL THINKINGAbstract: The main purpose of this study is to identify the effect of problem based learning with scientific approach toward Madrasah Ibtidaiyah teacher education students’ mathematic critical thinking. A quasi experiment research through Posttest-Only Control Design was implemented in this study to achieve this purpose. This research was conducted at Islamic University of Kalimantan MAB. The population is third semester of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Teacher Education Students and the sample was used in this research are Banjarmasin and Banjarbaru students consist of 48 people. Banjarmasin Class is a experiment class that is treated by using problem-based learning model with scientific approach, and Banjarbaru class is a control class that given by using expository model. Observation and test was used as instrument in this study. Independent T-Test was used for analyse the effect of problem based learning with scientific approach toward madrasah ibtidaiyah teacher education students’ mathematic critical thinking. The results of this study was a significant difference between the ability of the students in experimental class and the experimental class students (Sig. 0.00 <0.05), ie the average score of students' ability in experimental class (3.3333) average is higher than average score of students' ability in control class (2.5278). Thus, there is the effect of problem-based learning model with scientific approach to students' mathematical critical thinking skills.Keywords: Problem Based Learning, Scientific Approach, Critical Thinking, Mathematics, Madrasah Ibtidayah Teacher Education

Abstract

IndonesiaPendahuluan: Tujuan utama dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh pembelajaran matematika realistik (PMR) dengan strategi heuristik krulik dan rudnik terhadap kemampuan berfikir kritis dan prestasi belajar dan hubungan antara kemampuan berfikir kritis terhadap prestasi belajar siswa dengan mengunakan PMR dengan strategi heuristik krulik dan rudnik di Sekolah Dasar. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan metode quasi eksperimen. Instrument yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah observasi dan test. Peserta penelitian ini terdiri dari siswa kelas VA dan VB yang berjumlah 60 orang siswa di SDN Sungai Miai 5 Banjarmasin, Kalimantan Selatan, Indonesia. Hasil: Hasil uji hipotesis menunjukkan bahwa terdapat signifikan perbedaan antara kemampuan berfikir kritis dan prestasi belajar dan hubungan yang signifikan antara berfikir kritis dan prestasi belajar. EnglishIntroduction: The main purpose of this study is to identify the effect of Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) with Heurisctic Krulik and Rudnik Strategy and the realitionship between students’ critical thinking and achivement by using RME with Heuristic Krulik and Rudnic strategy. Method: A quasi experiment research design was implemented in this study to achieve this purpose. The instruments used in this study are observation and test. The participants of this study consist of 60 students from Va grade and Vb grade in SDN Sungai Miai 5 Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan, Indonesia. Result: The finding of hyphothesis test shows that 1) there are significant difference of crictical thinking and achievement between RME with heurisctic krulik and rudnik strategy group and conventional learning group and 2) there is significant realitionship between critical thinking and achivement by using RME with heuristic krulik and rudnic strategy.

Abstract

IndonesiaPendahuluan: Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan penggunaan video untuk kegiatan pembelajaran matematika di sekolah dasar. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan kajian pustaka dengan cara menelusuri berbagai rujukan untuk mendapatkan data yang valid dan dapat dipercaya. Hasil: Penggunaan video untuk pembelajaran matematika di sekolah dasar dibagi menjadi 4 macam, yaitu: video presentasi linier, video tutorial, rekaman video, dan klip video lagumatika dengan lirik. Prinsip-prinsip yang perlu dipertimbangkan dalam menggunakan video di kelas adalah: 1) perangkat pendukung, seperti listrik, pemutar video (laptop atau VCD), speaker, dan proyektor LCD, 2) keterampilan guru, seperti membuat dan menggunakan video dalam pengajaran, 3) Konten video, seperti kesesuaian isi dengan tema, kualitas resolusi, dan durasi (sekitar 3-7 menit), dan 4) tata ruang kelas, seperti letak tempat duduk dan posisi meja. Keunggulan video sebagai media pembelajaran mudah digunakan dan mampu menjelaskan konten dengan lebih nyata. Kelemahannya tidak interaktif. EnglishIntroduction: The article aims to explain the using of video for teaching math in elementary school. Methods: This study used literature review by tracking various references to get valid and reliable data. Result: The using of video for teaching math in elementary school is divided into 4 kinds, namely: linier presentation video, tutorial  video, recorded  video, and video with lyrics. The principles of the using video in the classroom are: 1) support devices, such as electricity, video player (laptop or VCD), speakers, and LCD projector, 2) teacher skill, such as creating and using video in teaching, 3) video content, such as conformity its content with theme course, resolution quality, and duration (about 3-7 minutes ), 4) classroom layout. The excellence of video as a learning medium is easy to use and able to explain content with more real. The weaknesses of video linier is not interactive and its efect depend on focus of student.

Abstract

The dedication of society service aims to increase students' insight and skills in using Information and Communication Technology (ICT) tools as media and learning resources that are believed to be effective in improving the quality of learning activities. Partners involved in science and technology for the society (IbM) is 25 students who are members of the Student Association of Elementary Teacher Education IAIN Antasari Banjarmasin. The methods of this activity is training in the form of tutorials and discussions about the steps of utilizing ICT as media and learning resources. The results show that the participants have understood the principles of ICT use in learning and are able to create learning media based ICT using PowerPoint applications.
