Abstract

This study discusses the auditors’ experiences in carrying out audits. The aim of this study is to identify the auditors’ experiences in carrying out internal audits at Ministry X. This study uses qualitative approach with the phenomenological method. The data collection technique used in this research are observation and interview with 4 (four) auditors with different level of expertise. Based on the research results, the experiences of the four auditors in carrying out audits at Ministry X is interpreted as an awareness based on things that support their profession, such as practice and knowledge which is gained from their past education. This awareness also grows their integrity and objectivity as an auditor. The awareness also makes an intersubjectivity that is built from good relations between the fellow auditors, the leader, and the auditees. This supports the four auditors to act professionally and accountably during working time and friendly when out of working hours.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to identify the level of health literacy among millennial adolescents in Indonesia based on gender, education level, and economic status, and their representation in healthy living behaviors. This research used a quantitative approach with a case study analysis method. Respondents are teenagers from 15-18 years old at high school. The questionnaire was distributed to 655 samples, in February-March 2021. The result showed that millennial adolescents had a habit of looking for health information, especially through electronic media. They explored the disease and medication when there were relatives who get ill. They communicated with medical workers and were likely to be interested in modern health information. They were able to analyze and critique health information although it was a simple one. Adolescents did not manage health information systematically because they did not study it deeper. The millennial adolescents had a literacy rate of functional, interactive, and critical in the good categories, but the value of the coefficient of critical literacy levels was low. The factors that influenced this level were a robust economy, excellent education, and female gender identity. The representation of the level of literacy was manifested in an understanding of disease, medication, and healthy lifestyles, simply limited to their needs as adolescents. The suggestion was the need to increase health information maximally; as well as role models for managing health information so that adolescents could implement health practices independently

Abstract

Pemasaran merupakan bagian yang tidak terlepas dari suatu organisasi, tidak terkecuali perpustakaan. Salah satu upaya dari pemasaran perpustakaan adalah dengan program duta baca. Penelitian ini menguraikan aspek pemasaran dari Duta Baca besutan Dinas Perpustakaan dan Kearsipan Daerah (Dispusipda) Provinsi Jawa Barat. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan Duta Baca Dispusipda Provinsi Jawa Barat dan kaitannya dengan komponen pemasaran perpustakaan. Adapun pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kualitatif. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah studi kasus. Pengumpulan data yang dilakukan adalah melalui wawancara dengan pihak terkait Duta Baca dan Dispusipda Provinsi Jawa Barat serta literatur yang berhubungan dengan pemasaran perpustakaan. Penelitian ini dilakukan selama enam bulan ditahun 2020-2021. Hasil dari penelitian ini Dispusibda Jabar melakukan promosi perpustakaan secara efektif. Dengan konsep tidak berbayar dan pendekatan teknologi, lembaga ini dapat menjangkau generasi milenial sekaligus meningkatkan minat baca secara luas. Kelemahan kegiatan duta baca terletak pada evaluasi pasca pelaksanaan. Hal ini semata-mata untuk mengetahui dan mengukur kebermanfaatan dari program Duta Baca Dispusipda Provinsi Jawa Barat untuk dapat meningkatkan minat baca di kalangan masyarakat Jawa Barat.Kata Kunci : duta baca; pemasaran; Dispusipda Jawa Barat

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dampak kemiskinan informasi dalam transaksi berbelanja online. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode kajian budaya. Literatur yang terjaring dalam artikel ini sebanyak 14 artikel berita yang didapat dari portal berita online yang terbit pada tahun 2021, dan 15 literatur ilmiah dengan periode tahun terbit dari 2007-2020. Adapun hasil dari penelitian ini adanya gap tentang pengertian dari pembelian menggunakan metode pembayaran COD terjadi karena faktor minimnya pengetahuan konsumen akan transaksi berbelanja online. Selain itu kurangnya edukasi yang dilakukan oleh pihak e-commerce kepada konsumen tentang transaksi berbelanja online yang tersedia secara terperinci dan peraturan pemerintah yang belum sempurna dalam melindungi konsumen saat melakukan proses transaksi berbelanja online melalui e-commerce. Kesimpulan menunjukan, kemiskanan informasi terjadi karena adanya kesalahpahaman dari konsumen tentang pengertian metode pembayaran COD yang benar dan ideal. Saran yang dapat diberikan adalah dengan membuat konten edukasi tentang produk dan layanan yang diberikan serta menyempurnakan peraturan tentang transaksi berbelanja online.

Abstract

This research discusses the library strategy of applying literacy to increase imagination, creativity and innovation. Various libraries carry out various literacy programs, including GLN and GLS. However, the results have not looked encouraging. UNESCO in 2017 stated that out of a total of 61 countries, Indonesia ranked 60th at a low literacy level. Literacy activities, namely activities that empower the movement of reading and writing, can make someone create imagination, creativity, and innovation. Libraries must have effective and efficient literacy implementation strategies, based on 6 types of literacy, namely literacy, numeracy literacy, scientific literacy, ICT literacy, financial literacy, and cultural and citizenship literacy. Librarians need to pay attention to the process of developing literacy, namely: text and facilities; literacy type and purpose, learning context, and learner character. Librarians determine the competencies to be achieved, then determine the quality of character and type of literacy. In the application process, librarians introduce methods of reading books and storytelling, creating a safe and pleasant atmosphere, letting users experiment, and playing roles.

Abstract

Film merupakan salah satu media yang di dalamnya terdapat representasi. Representasi dalam film terdiri dari berbagai hal. Salah satu hal yang dapat direpresentasikan adalah perpustakaan. Perpustakaan merupakan tempat yang menyimpan dan mengelola berbagai ilmu pengetahuan yang dapat dimanfaatkan oleh para penggunanya, mulai dari menemukan jawaban atas pertanyaan mereka, mengadakan kegiatan yang berhubungan dengan minat bakat mereka, hingga menciptakan banyak makna bersama. Penelitian ini akan berfokus pada representasi perpustakaan pada film Doctor Strange. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan semiotika dengan analisis sintagmatik dan paradigmatik. Dalam film Doctor Strange, perpustakaan direpresentasikan sebagai tempat suci yang menyimpan berbagai ilmu pengetahuan. Perpustakaan dalam film juga merupakan sumber informasi bagi para penghuni Kamar-Taj untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan mengenai ilmu sihir mereka. Ilmu pengetahuan dalam film disimbolkan sebagai kekuatan yang dimiliki oleh masing-masing individu. Perpustakaan juga direpresentasikan sebagai tempat pertarungan antara kebaikan dan kejahatan dalam memperebutkan ilmu pengetahuan.

Abstract

The policy of providing open-access e-books is one form of information disclosure carried out by LIPI in building a public facility in the form of a credible and innovative source of scientific literacy, particularly related to scientific publications of publicly funded research results. This research analyzed the policy of providing LIPI e-books in 2020-2021 in the Covid-19 pandemic. This study used a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data collection was carried out in May-June 2021 through in-depth interviews with two informants, a literature review, and observation of document searches related to the policy of providing open-access e-books at LIPI Press. The results indicated that the policy was fulfilled by implementing the Local Knowledge Acquisition Program and the Open Monograph Press (OMP) electronic publishing system. This policy has effectively increased the visibility, accessibility, and usefulness of scientific books during the Covid-19 pandemic. This can be seen from the increasing number of access to LIPI Press e-books provided through OMP throughout 2020-2021. However, the lack of understanding of open access among the public is a challenge in providing e-books. At the same time, the limited number of human resources who handle the electronic publishing information technology system is a fundamental problem in developing an e-book publishing system. This study concludes that the basis and implementation of the policy for providing open-access e-books are feasible to be maintained and improved, especially as a form of accountability for public funds used for public knowledge sources.

Abstract

Penelitian mengenai representasi fungsi dan nilai dari kepustakawanan dapat dikaji melalui analisis wacana, salah satunya melalui media film. Salah satu film yang memiliki nilai kepustakawanan adalah film Se7en. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengidentifikasi bagaimana peran perpustakaan, peran pustakawan, posisi pemustaka dan nilai informasi yang digunakan dalam permasalahan yang diangkat dalam cerita film. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode analisis wacana pada film. Proses analisis data menggunakan metode semiotik Roland Barthes yang membagi tiga hal utama yaitu makna denotatif, konotatif dan mitos. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa representasi perpustakaan dalam film ini meliputi peran perpustakaan sebagai tempat dalam mencari informasi dan penegakkan hukum. Sementara itu pustakawan dalam film ini digambarkan sebagai sosok yang tidak memiliki kewenangan dalam perlindungan data pemustakanya. Sementara itu informasi yang bersifat privasi dapat diperjualbelikan meskipun harus melanggar kode etik yang berlaku. Penelitian ini bermanfaat untuk mengetahui perkembangan perpustakaan dan pustakawan dalam konteks sosial di masyarakat.

Abstract

The e-poster is used by the National Library of Indonesia in the context of promoting libraries and a culture of reading fondness, in order to realize a lifelong learning community. The purpose of this study was to study the meaning of one of the 2020 World Book Day commemoration e-posters. This research uses the Charles Sanders Peirce Semiotics analysis to find out the meaning contained in the e-poster. The meaning is done by Barthes Semiotic Theory which is the significance of two hangovers. The sign is seen from the two elements of e-poster namely Visual Elements and Text Elements, then analyzed by looking at objects from the aspects of denotation, connotation and myth. The process of analysis obtains meaning obtained from the point of view interpretation (interpreter). With the following results, the e-poster approves the National Book Day of the Republic of Indonesia National 2020 which is displayed on the Instagram account of the national library of the Republic of Indonesia (National Library of the Republic of Indonesia, 2020) which has represented the national promotion library with its function as an institution responsible for encouraging Indonesian people to spend their lives, mandated in Act 43 of 2007 concerning libraries in article 21 paragraph 3

Abstract

This research aims to understand the phenomenon of book piracy from Tere Liye's point of view in one of his novels entitled Selamat Tinggal. This study uses a qualitative methodology through the sociology of literature which emphasizes the sociology of the author and his novel. The results of this study indicate that book piracy is a theft of copyright by book printers, sellers, supported by the large number of buyers of pirated books and the absence of serious legal efforts of this crime. Tere Liye, as an author, creates the novel Selamat Tinggal as a medium of his protest as well as a message to readers of literary works to stop buying pirated books and respect the copyright. Through the story, Tere Liye shows the process of honesty and achieving harmony between speech and action which are summarized in the value of integrity. This is illustrated in the main character's efforts to stop being involved in the pirated bookstore business.
