The virtual reference service (VRS) has been implemented by some libraries in Indonesia. This study aims to identify trends in VRS in some libraries in the Java Island. This research is a qualitative study using descriptive analysis presented as a percentage, then elaborated again with narration or description associated with the field and theory. Using purposive sampling technique, selected 12 libraries to be analyzed on the website. The sample consists of public libraries and special libraries. The results form 12 library samples found to bring trends in the form of presenting referral services if sorted from the most used by the library are email (91%), web forms (75%), chat references (67%), and SMS (8%). Both email and web form used for VSR is using the library's public email. Chat references available on the web library use the Tawk Live Chat App, add on Dalet Galaxy, Whatsapp and Line. VRS in SMS form is only used by the National Library. Email is the most common format used as a communication tool in VRS followed by web forms, chat references and SMS. The results of this study can be used as material for consideration to develop format of VRS in Indonesian libraries

Buku elektronik telah dihimpun Perpusnas sejak tahun 2016. Undang-undang yang digunakan dalam penghimpunan buku elektronik pada saat itu adalah Undang-Undang Nomor 4 Tahun 1990. Namun, undang-undang tersebut dinilai kurang kuat karena belum mencantumkan karya digital sebagai karya yang wajib diserahkan. Penelitian ini membahas tentang penerapan undang-undang serah simpan untuk buku elektronik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberi penjelasan mengenai proses serah simpan buku elektronik berdasarkan kedua peraturan yang ada. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Melalui penelitian ini, terlihat bahwa penghimpunan buku elektronik saat ini lebih gencar karena adanya undang-undang terbaru yang lebih relevan.ABSTRACT:Electronic books have been compiled by the National Library of Indonesia since 2016. The law used in the collection of electronic books at that time was Law No. 4 of 1990. However, the law was considered to be less robust because it did not include digital works as works that must be submitted. This study discusses the application of the deposit handover law for electronic books. This study aims to provide an explanation of the process of delivering electronic books based on the two existing regulations. This research used a qualitative approach with a case study method. Through this research, it concluded that the collection of electronic books today is more intense because of the latest laws that are more relevant.

This study focuses on the role of social media in disseminating agricultural information at Pustaka Bogor. Qualitative methods were used with a case study approach. Data collection is through observation and interviews with 3 (three) informants. Our findings indicate that the policies regarding the use of social media at Pustaka are based on the target audience of its library. The social media being used by Pustaka to disseminate information are Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Youtube. Social media plays an important role in the dissemination of information carried out by Pustaka. Our findings also support the Pustaka’s mission in disseminating information. Social media can help libraries to promote and disseminate information specifically in agriculture to community users.

The transformation of reference services in academic libraries in the era of information technology has a significant impact on librarians. Librarians need to address transformation properly to design the right services. The University of Indonesia (UI) library has undergone this transformation since a decade ago and continues to adapt to existing developments. Various service concepts were developed to suit users' demands, including by providing online-based services and utilizing social media to communicate with users. This study aimed to explore how reference librarians interpreted this transformation and what they should do. The research method used qualitative methods with the phenomenological method narrated descriptively. The research informants consisted of 13 librarians and seven reference librarians. Data analysis showed that librarians'significance for transforming reference services resulted in 4 important themes that were interpreted as influencing their work as reference librarians. The four themes were digital-based library services, expansion of access, policy, and promotion. This research concludes that users and librarians' practice of significance for the transformation of reference services results in the digital libraries' concept, which requires expansion of access, relevant policies, and social media optimization for service promotion. The practice of significance related to communication patterns with reference users in the digital era effectively uses email and chatting on the WhatsApp application.

This study discusses whether the reference service owned by the Universitas Indonesia (UI) Library can be used as a representation of other college libraries. This representation can be seen based on user perception in the University of Indonesia Library of the reference service and also seen from the strategy undertaken by the University of Indonesia Library in improving the quality of their reference service. This research is a qualitative research using case study method. The results of this study indicate that the reference service Library University of Indonesia can be used as a representation of the library of universities, because the University of Indonesia Library managed to make their reference services become more active and more innovative by bringing various innovations in it to get closer to the user. In addition, users also express their opinions regarding reference services in the University of Indonesia Library, this will further strengthen the purpose of this research is a reference service as a representation of the University of Indonesia Library. It is expected that with the innovation made by UI Library to its reference service will make the reference service become the representation of the library itself especially from the user side, because the representation of the reference service is very important to realize the main purpose of university in Indonesia known as Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi is education, research and community service.

The purpose of this study was to identify the level of health literacy among millennial adolescents in Indonesia based on gender, education level, and economic status, and their representation in healthy living behaviors. This research used a quantitative approach with a case study analysis method. Respondents are teenagers from 15-18 years old at high school. The questionnaire was distributed to 655 samples, in February-March 2021. The result showed that millennial adolescents had a habit of looking for health information, especially through electronic media. They explored the disease and medication when there were relatives who get ill. They communicated with medical workers and were likely to be interested in modern health information. They were able to analyze and critique health information although it was a simple one. Adolescents did not manage health information systematically because they did not study it deeper. The millennial adolescents had a literacy rate of functional, interactive, and critical in the good categories, but the value of the coefficient of critical literacy levels was low. The factors that influenced this level were a robust economy, excellent education, and female gender identity. The representation of the level of literacy was manifested in an understanding of disease, medication, and healthy lifestyles, simply limited to their needs as adolescents. The suggestion was the need to increase health information maximally; as well as role models for managing health information so that adolescents could implement health practices independently

Research on interactive service applications in libraries is still mostly about the use of various applications, application development, and evaluation of service applications in libraries. Utilization of service applications places more emphasis on the technology used, including assessing technical opportunities and obstacles. No research has been found that specifically discusses the preparation and management of interactive applications in libraries. The purpose of this study is to provide an overview of the application of interactive service applications that are mostly carried out in libraries and to open opportunities to obtain other views on the implementation of interactive service applications in libraries. This study uses a qualitative method with a literature review approach. From 20 articles, three major issues are found. They are the use of library service applications, a total of twelve articles; library service application development is found in 5 articles; and evaluation of library service applications in 3 articles. Conclusion from this research is that another view is needed in the implementation of interactive service applications in the library.

The user interface of digital libraries during the special conditions of the COVID-19 pandemic is one of the leading indicators that need attention from libraries. Library users will always choose easy access, fast and recommended by library users by word of mouth. The User Interface will affect the user experience in using the digital library. This research is essential to find out the description of user experience in using digital libraries during the COVID-19 pandemic. This study aims to describe the user experience, which includes emotions, perceptions, attitudes, and responses in using digital libraries. This study uses a qualitative approach with a systematic literature review method using the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) software guide from Kitchenham. User experience in using digital libraries is influenced by emotions and perceptions of digital library users because the urgency of using digital library services is increasingly substantial during the pandemic. In conclusion, the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic has affected the user experience, especially in the crisis that has created user awareness to use digital libraries. Considering that research related to User Experience in digital libraries during the COVID-19 pandemic is still lacking, the researchers suggest that further research be carried out with a quantitative approach to obtain valid data.

Background of the study: The digital library is one of the places where it is used to find information related to the services provided by the library during the COVID-19 pandemic. However, many users feel that they complain about the performance of the digital library, which is difficult for users to learn, and feel that they have not paid attention to what users want. Purpose: This research was conducted to see the development of digital library publications with the analysis of user experience (UX) and to see the impact of user experience (UX) on digital libraries before and during the pandemic. Method: This study uses the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method by collecting literature related to the topics discussed and then making selections to produce an overview of research on User Experience in digital libraries from 2011 to 2021. Findings: The results of this study note that users' experience in digital libraries is quite good in terms of user appearance and convenience, and ease of access. However, some users are not yet comfortable with the new form of digital library. Users want comprehensive improvements to make it easier for users to find information and take advantage of online services on digital library webs. Conclusion: It is expected that user experience or user experience in digital libraries at an agency or organization is important for reliable development. End users want high quality services So that when in the current Covid-19 pandemic situation we are better prepared and continue to improve the quality of digital libraries

Covid-19 menjadi pandemi pertama di era modern ini, sehingga Indonesia dan banyak negara lainnya mengalami kebingungan dalam mengambil kebijakan. Komunikasi publik yang tidak terencana dengan baik dapat menimbulkan kepanikan dan ketidakpercayaan masyarakat terhadap informasi Covid-19. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menelusuri jumlah penelitian terkait topik ketidakpercayaan masyarakat terhadap informasi covid-19 di Indonesia dan penyebab munculnya ketidakpercayaan tersebut. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah tinjauan literatur sistematis. Tinjauan literatur sistematis adalah tinjauan komprehensif untuk studi yang relevan mengenai topik tertentu, yang akan diidentifikasi kemudian dinilai dan disintesis. Temuan artikel jurnal ilmiah yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini dimulai dari tahun 2020-2022 berjumlah 15 artikel. Artikel jurnal ilmiah yang diterbitkan tahun 2020 terdapat 5 artikel, artikel jurnal ilmiah yang diterbitkan tahun 2021 sebanyak 9 artikel, adapun pada tahun 2022 terdapat 1 artikel. Penyebab munculnya ketidakpercayaan dapat dikelompokkan menjadi dua faktor yaitu faktor ketidakpercayaan kepada pemerintah dan ketidakpercayaan pada media. Ketidakpercayaan kepada pemerintah muncul akibat dari sikap pemerintah yang tidak konsisten terhadap kebijakan yang dibuat, data terkait covid-19 tidak transparan, dan masyarakat beranggapan bahwa adanya kepentingan politik dibalik terjadinya pandemi. Adapun ketidakpercayaan pada media disebabkan karena banyak beredarnya informasi hoax.
