Abstract

Abstract: Education can be used as a benchmark for how good the quality of a country is. Good and good education starts from a good and systematic learning system. The previous 2013 curriculum objectives show that students are required to think higher in terms of the relationship between science and the surrounding environment. One of the abilities in accordance with the 2013 curriculum is scientific literacy skills. the advancement of the era resulted in the increasing competitiveness of the nation when it entered the ASEAN Economic Community (MEA) which enabled the existence of scientific work products accompanied by scientific literacy abilities which were made as obligations to be studied in this century. 1. Abstract

The teaching material for Physics based on collaborative creativity learning (CCL) model is by design to improve scientific creativity, collaborative skills, and science process skills of junior high school students. The focus of this research is to analyze the teaching materials based on CCL model in terms of their validity (content and construct, reliable) and effectiveness to improve students scientific creativity in the science lesson, particularly for Physics education. The validity and effectiveness of the teaching material were measured by using Validation Assessment Sheet (VAS) and Scientific Creativity Assessment Sheet (SCAS). The data were analysed through mean validity score, Cronbachs coefficient alpha, Wilcoxon test, N-gain, and Mann Whitney test. The results of this study include: (1) validity of the the CCL-based teaching materials for Physics fulfill validity criteria (valid and reliable); (2) in terms of components of validity, the CCL-based teaching materials for Physics: (a) there is an increase of students scientific creativity with the alpha of α = 0.05, (b) the average score of students scientific creativity was in medium category, and (c) there is no significant different improvement (consistent) of scientific creativity skills in all groups. The implication of this developmental research of CCL-based teaching materials for Physics has proven to be valid and effective to increase the scientific creativity of junior high school students, particularly in Motions and Simple Machine chapters.

Abstract

The results of the PISA (Program for International Student Assessment) research in 2015 have shown that Indonesian students' learning outcomes in the field of reading literacy are still low. The ability of Indonesian students in the field of reading literacy of Indonesian students is ranked 65th with a value of 397. The development of technology has shifted some of the culture of Indonesian society, especially youth and students, from the traditional society to semi-modern society. The shift can be seen for example in the understanding and in the use of uncontrolled energy. Therefore, the authors develop teaching materials in the form of LKS literacy energy (Student Worksheet) which integrated the energy material in physics learning which later can be used in physics learning activities in high school. The design of LKS literacy energy learning is directed to increase the energy literacy of learners which includes context, knowledge, ability, and attitude. This study is a study followed up with product design, design validation, design trials, design revisions, application of certain clusters until they can be enforced in bulk. If implemented consistently, in the long run, we can expect the concept of energy in physics can contribute to the birth of Indonesians who have energy literacy as a pattern of life and culture in people's lives.

Abstract

Analysis of the subsurface structure of Mount Ijen, Banyuwangi was carried out based on anomaly data obtained from satellite image data. This research was conducted with the aim of identifying the subsurface structures around the research site. In this study, what is determined is the complete Bouguer anomaly (ABL), regional and residual anomalies based on the ABL, and their inversion modeling. The results of the representation of underground structures based on residual anomalies obtained from complete and regional Bouguer anomaly data. The complete bouguer anomaly values obtained in the Mount Ijen area range from 12.2 to 110.7 mGal. In the process of separating regional and residual anomalies, different anomaly values are produced. The regional anomaly value ranges from +12.2 to +110.7 mGal while the residual anomaly ranges from -4.2 to +2.4 mGal

Abstract

Interesting media or learning models are needed in realizing geography thinking skills, One of the interesting learning media is Google Earth. The purpose of this study is to examine the influence of Google Earth learning media on geography thinking skills and student learning outcomes. The type of research used is experimental research with Posttest Only Control Group Design. The results of this study were divided into two, namely data on students' critical thinking skills and data on student learning outcomes. The results showed that geography's thinking skills showed the value of Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) is 0.003, while student learning outcomes show Asymp scores. Sig. (2-tailed) of 0.000. From these data, it can be decided that Google Earth learning media has a significant effect on geography thinking skills and student learning outcomes.
